Borobudur Sunrise All Inclusive With Tickets & Pickup

Had a tour with the guide Youss and he was excellent! This is our second tour with him and this time we requested him, very knowledgeable about Yogyakarta and beyond, both times he took us to extra places, chicken church and Kopi Luwak Mataram, I will book youss for a third time when I’m back!

the sunrise one was very nice! our driver Ridwan was very knowledgeable and even took us to a unique coffee farm after!

Great experience all around. The pickup and transfers were smooth and the experience was as advertised. We arrived, put on the required sandals, and ascended to the 6th level, where we waited about an hour for the sunrise. The wait felt short, though, because even before the sun broke through, the sky was continuously changing. The event was breathtaking even with the haze. Afterward, there was a short tour and a great breakfast. My only suggestion: having coffee and tea available before the walk up!

I had a great tour with our guide Haidar, who was tremendously knowledgeable, helpful, and fun throughout the journey. The sunrise hike and trip to Borobudur were perfectly organized, and very convenient every step of the way. Strongly recommend!

We had a joyful and smooth experience with our guide/driver Yuni. Loved how the tour was organised and carefully planned, how Yuni arrived right on time to pick us up, how peaceful and comfortable the whole (long!) ride was, and how we've been proposed with options on where to have breakfast, what time to go back from the temples, and so on. Another family group kept us company on the trip, and they also turned out to be very pleasant people to hang out with. And the temples... We loved it and couldn't have enough time there. Very beautiful temple park zone that we would readily walk for hours, and the main temple itself is just unbelievable. So the experience was 100/10.

Our guide Ardhan was really informative and chill. He was very helpful to me especially because I became a little sick but was willing to help me out the whole tour. He also let us practice our Bahasa Indonesia and took us everywhere we wanted with convenience. We had a lot of good chats along the way and the ride was very comfortable. I recommend it if you plan to see Borobodur:)

I organised the Borobudur temple sunrise tour with Jogja Borobudur Tour company (JBT). The communication ahead of the tour via WhatsApp was clear and proactive. My driver, Youss, arrived on time and got me to and from the temple safely while providing interesting information about the area and its history. In my opinion, being able to see the beautiful temple early without the crowds is well worth the extra cost and I would happily recommend JBT to others.

Very nice experience. We had a private driver named Brian who was very helpfull and friendly. Amazing trip. You have to have a little bit of luck with the clouds but overall it is a great experience where you get time to watch the sunrise and afterwards get a 30 minute tour by a guide. After that there is breakfast included.

The trip was amazing. Even though it was cloudy, the sunset was a nice experience (I do recommend checking weather forecast though). The borobudur is a must see. During the travel, our guide Haidar told us everything about Hinduism, Buddhism and how they are related. This gave us useful context to better understand the depictions and building structure of the borobudur. Very knowledgeable and likeable guide! Would definitely recommend :)

Thank you so much to my driver, Tsalis. Because of the weather, I couldn't see the sunrise. However, thanks to Tsalis, I got to discover other cultural aspects of Jogja - such as local coffee making (CATpuccino ©️) and a Buddhist temple listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. We spent a great morning at Borodobur and surroundings. We had a good time with our driver Youss and spent some time at the hill overlooking the temple complex.

It was such a nice day. The driver pick me at my hostel and left me to the mountain to see the sunrise on Borobudur. He gave me time to take all my picture before visiting the temple and I also had time to buy souvenirs and food before coming back to the hostel. Everything was well prepared with the super interesting guided visit of the temple (admission fees are included in the tour). And our driver/guide Youss was really friendly and led our group in a warm atmosphere !

I joined this tour group to visit Borobudur and overall the experience was very smooth. The guides were friendly, well-organized. Everything was taken care of, from transportation to the entrance tickets, so I didn’t have to worry about anything. It was a comfortable and enjoyable way to visit Borobudur en setumbu hill especially for a first-time visitor. Especially thanks to Dear Haidar who made everything go smoothly.

Very smoothly organised tour starting with a beautiful view of the sunrise and followed by a tour of the Borobudur Temple. The guide Ardhan shares his comprehensive knowledge about the UNESCO world heritage site as well as general information about the landscape and historical development. I recommend doing this tour.

The tour was beyond my expectation. Spectacular sunset view from Setumbu hill, great time at the Borobudur temple. The knowlegde and memory you can take from this trip will stay with you for long (or even forever). Thanks to our driver Haidar, we had a wonderful time and lovely talk in a meantime. We did the sunrise tour at Borobudur with breakfast included, and it was an unforgettable experience. Watching the sun slowly light up the temple, with almost no one around and the cool morning breeze, was simply magical. Our driver, Haidar, was absolutely wonderful—punctual, kind, and always willing to help. On the way back to the hotel, he even took us to a sports store so we could buy something we needed. He also shared a lot of interesting information about Indonesia during the ride. Truly a wonderful experience and highly recommended!

The sunrise portion of the trip was underwhelming. Borobudur was so far away as to be hardly visible. The actual trip to Borobudur was absolutely amazing. We had a little time to kill between sunrise and our allotted time at Borobudur so our driver (Haidar) took us to Mendut Buddhist temple and to a Luwak coffee shop where they harvest, process, and brew the coffee. Haidar spoke decent English and was easy to understand. At the Mendut temple, he gave me a lot of background on Buddhism and the history of Islam in Indonesia. He was very open to answering all of my questions. At Borobudur, Haidar handled all of the tickets and accompanied me from the entrance to the gathering point where the professional Borobudur guide took over. At Borobudur, they give you a pair of sandals to wear to minimize impact to the temple and Haidar carried my shoes back to the car so l didn't have to lug them around while walking and climbing Borobudur. Haidar was an excellent guide and I really enjoyed the trip.

Our guide, Haider, was very knowledgable and friendly throughout the entire day. It actually felt more like a friend was driving/showing us around than a hired tour guide. Had a beautiful view from Setumbu, and great visit to Borobudur. Highly recommend this tour, especially with Haider!

We had a great sunrise trip to Borobudur! Our driver Yuni was fantastic and shared lots of interesting information about Yogyakarta and local recommendations of food and experiences which was very helpful! He even took us around to some extra places to try some local coffee! The Borobudur tour guide had great energy and although it was cloudy to begin with the sun did appear and the sky was beautiful sky - it was a great atmosphere! We were also treated to a lovely breakfast afterwards with a great view of the temple! Would highly recommend! 😊

This was a very enjoyable tour, Yuni improved the experience for me on the whole as he was very knowledgable and helpful with a very comfy car. He gave us some key background details to both Borobudur and history of Java - it was very interesting and I’d be pleased to go on more tours with Yuni specifically as he goes the extra mile to ensure you get the most out of it.

Of course, the temple is stunning. But we really, had good luck with our guide Haidar. He offered extra things to see like a coffee plantation. But not only the typical. As I am really very interested in the agriculture of rise he stopped to explain. He bought dragon fruits to try. And the best, he accepted to share lunch with us. We learned a lot about Indonesia, discussed interreligious dialogue and learned about culture and traditions. So, one of the highlights of our voyage to Java! Highly recommend the morning visit, you have the temple almost to yourself (the number of tourists allowed in the morning is regulated). Also Brian my driver was great !
