Th driver Atok is a great gide, support and entertainment for the journey. He has 10/10, He was kind, efficient, professional and with a lot of information. He has excelent english, and this make the difference in communication and the experience. It is a great point The plan could be better if you get a time to lunch, between morning and afternoon. The activity is too heavy if we visit both temples, it was hard to visit prambanan temple at noon, but the guide there was excellent . By the other hand, The merapi lava tour is not a good place if there are not visibility. Our expectations in the volcano is view it, no to watch the museum they is so poor for international visitors .

This was a great tour. Borobudur was amazing and, despite the clouds, we were lucky to see the sunrise from inside the temple. Not so lucky with Mt Merapi which was completely obscured by clouds, but still an enjoyable jeep ride. Very sad to see the destruction from the eruptions. Prambanan temple was equally spectacular as Borobudur. Atok, our driver and guide was awesome. His explanations were detailed, he spoke very good english and he presented various aspects related to day-to-day life, besides information related to the places we saw. His explanations at Prambanan were very detailed and entertaining. At the end, he also made a stop at Plaosan temple (it was under renovations, but we had a good look from outside). We highly recommend this tour and Atok, one of the best tour guides we ever had!

Great day out with my wonderful driver Brian. It was a super early pick up, 3am!, but he was right on time and I felt very safe with him. He organized everything at each of the sites, including English speaking guides. It’s a big day out, but highly recommend it. Starting early means you avoid the heat. Lots of options when you’re booking. Note: Sunrise inside the temple is worth it - and includes breakfast I discovered.

The driver, Ridwan is friendly and know the way around the places to avoid bad traffic. The temple I visited also magnificent.

Initially, we had only booked the Mount Merapi Jeep Sunrise Tour. However, after meeting our guide, Atok, we decided to extend our day and visit both Borobudur and Prambanan temples as well. While Merapi and the temples were absolutely incredible experiences, the true highlight of the trip was Atok himself. He was everything you could ask for in a guide: knowledgeable, attentive, friendly, and highly accommodating. Whenever we wanted to make additional stops that matched our personal interests—such as learning about kopi luwak or visiting a batik shop—Atok arranged everything seamlessly. His insights into Javanese culture, history, and daily life added tremendous value to the experience, and his flexibility allowed us to tailor the day to our interests without ever feeling rushed. We highly recommend Atok to anyone visiting Yogyakarta. He turned a great day of sightseeing into an unforgettable experience.

Had an absolutely amazing day - all 3 of the experiences are well organized. Borobudur and Prambanan are absolutely marvelous. I did the sunrise tour at Borobudur, which was absolutely magical. I also need to recognize my driver (Ardhan Hanif) who was incredible. This was a solo tour, so having a friendly driver with great English was really nice. He even acted as tour guide between the 3 main stops, showing me different types of coffees, fruits (ask to get snakeskin fruit, it's amazing), and teaching me about Indonesian culture. If I come back with friends I would absolutely book the same tour, and hope I get the same driver too:)

Had a fantastic day out with Youss, who made me feel comfortable despite being the only person on the tour and who was great fun to chat with! The sights are amazing, the sequence of activities keeps you awake despite the early start, and Youss made sure there was time for a nap too had I needed it. Definitely recommend the tour 🙂

Borobudur and Prambanan are two of the most spectacular temples in the world — up there with Angkor Watt. Our guide was wonderful. Patient, responsive and helpful in so many ways. Do not miss this trip.

What an incredible experience!! Our tour guide Atok was so friendly, knowledgeable, and gave us fantastic suggestions for the rest of our stay in Jogja. The sunrise tour of Borobudur temple was beautiful and well worth waking up early for. Despite the sun visible through the clouds for only a brief moment, the ripples of the colorful pallete it cast over the surroundings and the temple were breath-taking and not to be missed! The jeep tour of Mt. Merapi was an exciting adventure with many different stops with views of the volcano, paired with educational moments of how the volcanic activity impacts local life. We finished the day with a tour of many temples within Prambadan which Atok told us the local folklore along with the history behind many of the impressive structures. We highly recommend this trip!! Haidar was fantastic! He knew the history of the temples and the general history of Jogja well. He also booked Mr. Teja as my guide for the Prabanan Temple. Mr. Teja was very well knowledgeable about the temple's history and the cultural significance of the architecture.

Atok Jogja was our driver and he was extremely helpfull and kind. Good english that is also critical in Yogyakarta. Helped us with alternative destinations depending on the wheather. Car was comfy. He was probably the best in his career. We are gratefull for his service.

I had a fantastic experience on this excursion with Yuni, my guide and driver (I was alone). We left Yogyakarta at 3:30 a.m. and arrived at Borobudur before sunrise. The local guide then drove us to the temple, where we admired the site. Given the season and the current international situation, there were only ten of us (whereas the number of participants for sunrise viewing is usually limited to around one hundred). With Yuni, we then went to Mount Merapi, where a jeep driver took me to see the still-active volcano. We also visited a bunker and a museum (a house partially destroyed by lava). Finally, still with Yuni, we went to Prambanan, our last destination. Yuni told me the history of this place.

My 19yr old son and I are travelling through Indonesia and took a standard tour which helps covering in 1 day Borobudur, Mt. Merapi and Prambanan. What made the difference for us was, our guide and driver Haidar. Haidar took us to to all these spots with perfect timing, sharing with us his vast knowledge and in a great atmosphere. Borobudur and, especially the Prambanan complex, for which I recommend adding more time, are sites you don't want to miss. Mt. Merapi, you can't control the visibility conditions...especially during the wet season. Make sure to ask for the plastic coats cover, if your local guide (the one picked by Haidar was excellent) is going to take you to the river!

The trip covered all the important tourist spots including sunrise in Borobudur. It was breathtaking. It was totally worth it to get up at 3am for the view. The driver (guide) Haidar is very professional and welcoming. Highly recommended.

Imam is amazing. Words don’t do justice to how special he made that day for me. He is genuinely a man who loves what he does, a heart of gold, he speaks perfect English, made me SO comfortable, and it felt like we are on a little exploration mission together. He was so flexible and truly went out of his way to make every moment special - I had some ideas in mind and he happily obliged! He picked me up early, I had hired him for the day - ride was not shared. We began with snack stops early in the morning, and then he took me to the viewpoint. Even was gracious enough to hike up with me and take pictures too! The one thing I would like to call out is that I really wanted to go to a random local bateek shop and try my hand there instead of a touristy spot. As we were driving I spotted a place and asked him to negotiate for me. He was GRACIOUS and spoke to the owners, negotiated and got me a spot. I did that for 3 hours and for this entire time he waited for me patiently - he felt it was best he didn’t leave alone there, even though I had asked him to go around take a break do what he wants in that time. Truly a man of his words, honourable too. I really don’t think my words are doing justice of how wonderful my time with Imam was. Attaching some pictures. Amazing experience from start to finish. Imam was professional, very knowledgeable about the local history and culture, and explained everything clearly in excellent English. The itinerary was well-organized but still flexible, with thoughtful photo stops and food recommendations that suited our preferences. I am was punctual, friendly, and patient, always checking on our comfort and safety. Highly recommended and would happily book another tour with them.

We had a full day of fun. Yuni our excellent driver picked us up very early in the morning to see the Borbudur at sunrise and guided us excellently through the entire day with lots of adventures. The highlight for my little daughter was, when Yuni was talking about the deliciuos dragon fruits, he stop quickly over at a street vendor to get some of the famous fresh dragon fruits for her. Even though it was cloudy that day and we were not able to see the Merapi, the wild Jeep drives made our day. Thanks to Yuni, for such a smooth day packed with so much adventures

Combined visit to Borobudur, Merapi volcano and Prambanan was well organized! Incredibly impressive temples and the adventurous experience at the Merapi volcano by jeep was also very nice. Driver Haidar picked us up early in the morning and brought us home at the end of the day. He also told us a lot about Yogyakarta and the history of the temples, very educational! Thanks

Starting with Haidar, our lovely guide everything was super nice, we even got to experience some extra touristic visits which were amazing and a surprise! It was a long day but everything went smooth and comfortable always in a good disposition. Even if the weather is cloudy it is still worth it because in one day you can experience a lot.

A full day trip that focuses on 3 main attractions in the area. Both temples are worth recommending. The Merapi volcano and the jeep ride are slightly overrated, it all depends on the weather, the volcano is often covered with clouds and the ride itself is nothing special. We came across a very communicative driver, nice and helpful. He took care of us during the entire trip and provided additional local attractions. We recommend Haidar Tsalis.

Absolutely amazing trip with the most wonderful guide!! We did the sunrise hike-borobodur-merapi-prambanan combination. It was a hectic day with tight timings but lots of down time in the car in-between. We felt super safe and our guide was super knowledgeable. Excellent value for money and a must do if in Yogykarta!

Visiting Borobudur and Prambanan was a priority on my trip,so I booked online this tour that included Mountain Merapi also. The day started really early since I wanted to experience the sunrise over Borobudur. My driver, Ardhan , very punctual,picked me at the hotel and drove to the hights of Karangrejo overlooking Borobudur.Then I visited the temple with amazing history and breathtaking sights. Ardhan waited for me and took me to the Merapi mountains. The ride with a 1954, 4WD Jeep was fun. But I was heartbroken after visiting the museum and saw the terrible aftermath of the 2010 eruption. We had lunch at a lovely restaurant with great food that Ardhan knew about, excellent choice. We continued to the Hindu temple at Prambanan with so many incredible and interesting things and traditions and history. It was an unforgettable day and everything went smoothly, very good organized, hassle free! My driver,Ardhan was fabulous, very polite, attentive,helpful, very friendly and respectful and he knew everything. We talked culture, customs, history, religion, people… He was very kind and took great pictures of me since I was solo. But above all he got me safely everywhere, very good driver! The trip was great. We had enough time for every attraction and our driver Yuni was perfect. He gabe us all the necessary information at borbudur and also explained pranbanan to us. He also was spontanous and drove us to an excellent breakfast restaurant when we requested a breakfast. If your looking for a tour including both tempel and the volcano and you dont want to organize anything, this tour is perfect

We did this tour back in July when we had just arrived to Indonesia. It was actually amazing, especially since we had an amazing guide, Atok. He went above and beyond to make this day perfect for us, and directly introduced us to the indonesian kindness. Would absolutley recommend !

Had an amazing trip with Youss. He picked me up at the hotel and we drove to Setumbu Hill to see the sunrise. Before we went to Borobudur, he showed me how coconut sugar is made in a traditional setup. Then the Highlight of the day: Borobudur. Youss accompanied me through the entrance to the guide of the temple. We got many information about the temple and its history. Then we had enough time to enjoy the the temple and its atmosphere and take pictures. After that Youss drove me back to the hotel.

We went to see Borobudur, Mount Merapi and Prambanan. Temples were great (careful with the sun in Borobudur, it can get very hot). Mount Merapi was OK, that day was cloudy so we did not get to see the top of the volcano. Our guide Haidar was amazing. He took the time to take us to visit smallet temples between visits. He was attentive to our needs, got us to some really good restaurants and made us taste the snake fruit. He also was a great teacher on the local culture to truly understand the Yogyakarta way of life. I highly recommend this tour, specially Ith Haidar
