After two years, I finally had the chance to stay at The Alana Yogyakarta again. Not much has changed—in the best way possible. The hotel remains cozy, refreshing, and strategically located yet peaceful and quiet. A huge thank you to the front office team on September 22nd. Even though I arrived well before check-in time, they kindly let me check in early to rest after a long journey. I was given a room on the 9th floor, which was spotless, had a great view, strong AC, reliable Wi-Fi, and excellent hot water pressure. Special thanks as well to Ms. Ika at the egg station for making my omelet exactly how I like it. A great breakfast truly sets a positive mood for the whole day. Looking forward to staying here again next time!

Good service like always. I’ve met Kak Wahyu a lot of time, and she is one of the nicest employee here. I also like the food choices, either for breakfast or in-room dinings. The room is spacious, clean and neat. I always get the best treatment here. I come back every once a month, so very recommended ^^
We stayed here for five nights during our children's school holiday, and overall, it was a pleasant stay. The hotel is conveniently located not far from Keraton Yogyakarta Hadiningrat. However, if you're looking for places to eat within walking distance, the options are fairly limited. It's not exactly in the heart of the city's busiest area, but it's still easy to get around using Ojol, Bajaj, Becak. The room was comfortable and clean. While it doesn't offer the latest modern amenities, I think it's fair considering the affordable room rate. One feature I really appreciated was the water dispensers located along the corridors, so guests can easily refill their drinking water without having to buy bottled water. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming, reflecting the warm hospitality Yogyakarta is known for. One small suggestion for the management: the bathroom drain had an unpleasant odor during our stay. Hopefully, this can be addressed, as it would make the overall guest experience even better. Overall, it's a good value for money hotel and a comfortable base for exploring Yogyakarta.
somehow, I did not feel the “humble” Javanese feel upon arrival (receptionist). was there for 5 nights from 25-30 July. once, tried to ask whether they had face-mask, the answer just short: NO, we do not? room just OK with average amenities. I think its kinda off when its claimed as Alana Malioboro while the hotel is located 2,5 km away from Malioboro. thought it would be walking distance 😮💨
We had a decent 2-night stay at this hotel. Nothing particularly luxurious or extraordinary, but everything worked exactly as it should, making for a comfortable stay. The hot water was excellent and available almost instantly, the AC was super cold and kept the room very comfortable, and the amenities provided were sufficient for our needs. The towels were clean and fresh. The location is also convenient, being quite close to Malioboro, though not within comfortable walking distance. A short ride will get you there easily. Overall, a solid and reliable choice if you're looking for a comfortable stay with good basic facilities and a convenient location.
