Sayana Homestay, Darjeeling — ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I honestly couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Darjeeling. Sayana Homestay ticks every box — and then some. The location is unbeatable. You're barely a few minutes' walk from the Mall, which means you get the best of both worlds: the buzz of town right at your doorstep, and a quiet, peaceful retreat to come back to. What really sets this place apart though is the warmth of the people here. It genuinely feels like staying with family rather than at a guesthouse. The hospitality is thoughtful and unhurried — the kind that's hard to find and easy to remember. The room had a beautiful hill view, the food was delicious home-cooked comfort, and everything was spotlessly clean. For what you pay, it's exceptional value. If you're visiting Darjeeling solo and want somewhere that feels safe, cosy, and full of heart — this is it. I'll definitely be back.

Sayana Homestay is truly one of the best homestays in Darjeeling. The location is absolutely perfect, situated barely 100 meters from the Mall, just a pleasant 2–3 minute walk away. Being so close to the heart of the town while still enjoying a peaceful atmosphere makes it an ideal place to stay. The rooms are simply wonderful—clean, comfortable, and equipped with all necessary amenities. Everything is very well maintained, and the environment is calm and relaxing. One of the most convenient features is that the entire house is connected with Wi-Fi, making it easy for anyone to shift from a work-from-home routine to a “work-from-the-mountains” experience. What truly makes Sayana Homestay special is the warmth of the family who runs it. Every member of the Sayana family is extremely kind and welcoming, and they make sure you never feel like you are away from home. Their hospitality creates a very homely and comforting atmosphere for guests. This was my second stay here, and I stayed for about a week. Once again, the experience was excellent. I can confidently say that whenever I visit Darjeeling, Sayana Homestay will always be my first choice. Another highlight is the food. The kitchen offers a wide variety of delicious options—from Indian cuisine to authentic Nepali, Tibetan, and Chinese dishes. If you are craving something familiar, you can even enjoy traditional Bengali food like bhat, dal, and macher jhol, freshly prepared. Overall, Sayana Homestay offers the perfect combination of great location, comfortable rooms, warm hospitality, and amazing food. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Darjeeling.
