This place is fantastic. The pool and rec area is huge and there's lots to do. The staff are very kind. Location is fine - you take a Grab for peanuts anywhere in the city, but you kind of need to go out of your way to stay there.
Temple tours are easy to arrange. The free breakfast buffet is massive, with lots of healthy options, including local foods. I especially recommend the various soups and vegetarian items (I'm an omnivore, but it's all very well done, and the steamed veg in peanut sauce is fantastic).

I think this is one of the best hotels in Yogyakarta. And it is so reasonably priced, unbelievable. The common areas, especially, the Borobudur style outdoor lobby is absolutely gorgeous. The Koi fish in the pond are adorable. Even if you stand at one place, they come towards you and ask for food. You can get fish food for free at the concierge. The breakfast buffet is absolutely great and you can enjoy your breakfast by the pool- the setting is beautiful. The pool itself is huge with lots of sections and super fun - esp for kids - as there are water slides and everything. They have a nice jogging track around the golf course which is very picturesque. The rooms itself are slightly old and could be maintained better - so one point less for that. But overall, rooms were quite nice. No complaints. They provide parking as well. We also took their cab services to go to Borobudur and it was really convenient and luxurious. Highly recommend.

We spent 16 nights at the Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta and it was honestly one of the best hotel stays we have ever had.
By the end of our stay, our 18-month-old son was known by all the staff, and everyone made such an effort to make us feel comfortable, welcome, and genuinely looked after. Travelling with a young child is not always easy, but the kindness of the team made a huge difference to our experience.
The hotel itself is magical — set in beautiful gardens, it feels like a peaceful oasis in the middle of the busy city. We stayed in one of the renovated terrace rooms, which was very comfortable, modern, and perfect for a longer stay.
The restaurants and breakfast selection were excellent, and there was so much to enjoy around the hotel: the beautiful swimming pool, outdoor games, spa, walking routes, golf, and plenty of space just to relax.
Even after staying for more than two weeks, we would happily visit again. A huge thank you to the whole team for making our stay so special.
Loved this hotel in Yogyakarta - land of Temples :). Superb customer service throughout our stay. Front desk was very attentive & responsive, housekeeping was efficient ( and friendly ) getting our laundry done, and the restaurant was great - nice name recognition✅ Thanks! The architecture and grounds of the hotel are incredible. The hotel organized a private yoga session & a lovely half day tour to the palace and Prambanan temple ( with the heat, a half day was great - morning).
The rooms are a little dated ( shower/bath combinations are never good) but room was clean and bed comfortable with a nice terrace.
We used the restaurant for both evenings and it was good - some nice Indonesian dishes to try with good guidance from the staff.
