White Swan

I had dim sum at Yu Tang Chun Nuan at the White Swan Hotel during the day, and the overall experience was excellent. The service, in particular, left a lasting impression. What I appreciated most was how attentive yet unobtrusive the service was. Whenever the staff refilled our tea or brought out a new dish, they would ask beforehand or check in with a glance. They never interrupted unnecessarily, yet always seemed aware of what we needed. This thoughtful attention to detail made the entire meal feel relaxed and comfortable. As for the food, the Iberico pork char siu was absolutely outstanding. The fragrant aroma of rose wine lingered beautifully on the palate, while the pork was tender, juicy, and full of complex flavors. The shrimp dumplings were also excellent, with soft, delicate wrappers and generously sized shrimp filling. The sunflower chicken had wonderfully crisp skin, while the meat remained juicy and deeply flavorful. The steamed chicken feet with black bean sauce were soft, tender, and thoroughly infused with flavor, practically melting in the mouth. Among the dim sum, one of the standout items was incredibly juicy, delivering a satisfying burst of flavor with every bite. The shaqima, a traditional Chinese pastry, was another pleasant surprise. I hadn't expected much, but it turned out to be far more interesting than anticipated. The egg tarts were beautifully made, too, with crisp, flaky pastry that wasn't overly greasy. The vegetable soup, by comparison, was fairly ordinary and didn't leave much of an impression. Overall, what stood out most was the combination of thoughtful service and the high quality of several dishes. From the tea service to the timing of each course, the staff demonstrated a level of professionalism and attentiveness that made the experience feel truly special.

We had such a lovely experience checking into the White Swan Hotel! From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Our luggage was taken care of and delivered straight to our room, making the whole check-in process so easy and welcoming. A special thank you to Vivian and Peter, who were both incredibly kind, friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and even arranged a beautiful upgrade to a river-view room, which was such a lovely surprise! The White Swan Hotel in Guangzhou is a landmark 5-star property on Shamian Island, renowned for its Pearl River views. It blends modern hospitality with historic charm, making it one of Guangzhou’s most iconic hotels. The rooms are spacious, spotless and floor-to-ceiling windows, freestanding bathtubs, spotless and comfortable beddings. One central feature of the hotel is the waterfall at the centre of the lobby. It provide a cooling an rereshing vibe. It's buffer breakfast has an extensive varieties selections. However its crowded at times and there may be a queue for food.

Stay for 2 days over the summer in GZ which is insanely hot therefore this is why the 4 stars for location the nearest train station is 400m away and with the dwindling attractions of Sha Mian over the years the area is pretty quiet apart from the small bespoke business. Staff attentiveness to details and service is excellent, even at check in we didnt mention was my wife bday the HR picked up and greeted us with some souvenir. But as this is a scenic hotel with history throught the days there are many tourist taking photos in the lobby which makes the place to bustling for my comfort. And too due to the history signifigance there are many tour groups staying so if u like quiet hotels this might not be the best place. Rooms are grand but everything seems dated, sound proofing is no quite there too.
