Very disappointed with my recent stay here. I stayed in a club access executive room. To be clear, it was communicated prior that the pool will be out of use during my stay. However what was not made clear was that the entire club floor has been closed for many months and will continue to be closed for several more months due to maintenance. This meant that usual perks such as complimentary afternoon tea and evening cocktails were not offered, plus the buffet breakfast was served in the main restaurant on level 6. So don't bother with buying a room for club access for the short to medium term whilst works are ongoing. The room itself was clean, with a comfortable bed. However there were several light globes that required replacing as they had blown, the bar fridge smelled of durian, and the WiFi was slow. The rest of facilities were poor. Broken gym equipment with an unstocked gym, no fresh towels, minimal water bottles. The Liquory bar was underwhelming, with a nice view, but the signature cocktails were bland and uninspiring, even though a supposed mixologist had crafted them. Also the buffet breakfast was sub-par too. There were prawn shells within the seafood congee, plastic in the custard buns and lukewarm "hot food" options. A fair attempt was made to include local dishes as part of the buffet, and they were average, which is to say they were neither good nor bad. Overall, I would naturally assume that once the renovations are finished, that a club tier experience may be justified, but a lot of work is required to lift this hotel into the modern times

Hotel location nearby eateries and convenient stores. Shopping walk around 800m base on goggle map.
The building decor, while exquisite, may seem tired and dated. Our initial room had a view blocked by a dilapidated building next door. The staff kindly allowed us to change to a higher room. Breakfast was also mediocre, with mostly carbs upon carbs, without anything noteworthy. The hotel does not occupy the whole building, contrary to what one would assume for a Langham. Most of it are offices. The ground floor and lobby is very small. It feels like walking into a boutique hotel instead. I regret choosing this place instead of the Hilton, Westin or InterContinental nearby as they were all at a similar price point. I would not feel bad if this wasn’t branded as a luxury 5-star hotel. However, if you are into Instagram and photo taking then this is the place for you. The marble and antiquated interior allows for many angles and scenes for nice photos.
OUR ROOM GOT KNOCKED ON AND OPENED WHILE WE WERE SLEEPING!!! Luckily we did latched the door from inside so the person could not enter. Called the front desk and was told that someone had checked us out. What?!! Does the hotel not verify the reported room number for checkout and just take the customer's word for it? Also, what if we did not latch the door? Can't imagine. This is a clear security breach and a violation of guest safety and privacy. Yet, what was offered was gesture of goodwill, breakfast set, free upgrade for next stay. The next day during checkout, it felt like we were purposely stalled despite highlighting to the front desk several times the urgency to leave for airport. Request to return deposit was also delayed. Front desk who knew of the incident acted ignorant and just asked us to wait for the manager who she said is coming up but after waiting for 10-15 mins, the manager didnt even appear. How long does it take to come up? We even called beforehand. Clearly lacking in sincerity and not keen in service recovery. End up we had to go down to meet her. By then our driver was already mad and we have to leave. We will definitely not return to any of the Group's hotel and to mention, no compensation is received by us. Stay at your own risk. Subpar service.
Room is great, elegant design, clean, comfortable. Very nice view from room and the restuarant. But the food is not so good quality. We order room service for steak. They asked which sauce I would like, but when deliver to the room forgot the sauce! A steak without sauce and without seasoning.
