Beautiful spaces and design. The rooms, even the standard ones are spacious with an ample batthroon. Modern, quiet well equipped but lack a bit of storage space and the TV Channels are very limited. I believe the are multiple type of design depending on which floor you are staying. This is China so make sure to request a non-smoking room if that's your preference. The restaurants are okay and the breakfast is probably not as refined as in other comparable large hotels where I have stayed in Asia and China. Service is disappointedly mechanical and at times seems lost by the simplest request. Most staff speak and understand English but they make no effort to listen to their customers. Strong points: great gym and location attached to the furniture and home decor shopping mall.

An absolutely wonderful stay – luxurious, comfortable, and top-tier service I recently stayed at the Sofitel during my trip to China, and I cannot recommend this hotel enough. From check-in to check-out, everything exceeded my expectations. The room was beautifully designed – modern, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. The bed and pillows were pure heaven after long days of exploring. Blackout curtains, excellent air conditioning, and soundproofing made sure I slept like a log every single night. The bathroom was equally impressive with high-end toiletries, a deep soaking tub, and a powerful rain shower. What truly stood out was the breakfast spread. While I unfortunately didn’t have the chance to properly enjoy it (I was in a rush each morning due to my packed itinerary), I could clearly see that the hotel puts serious effort into their breakfast offering. The buffet was massive – Western classics, fresh pastries, made-to-order omelets, fresh fruit, juices, and an incredible selection of Chinese dishes, dim sum, noodles, and congee. Everything looked and smelled delicious. Even though I only grabbed a quick coffee and a pastry on my way out, the quality was evident. Next time, I’ll make sure to wake up early enough to sit down and truly savor it. The staff were professional, polite, and always ready to help with a smile. English was widely spoken, which made communication effortless. The lobby is elegant, the location was convenient for my needs, and the overall ambiance was pure 5-star luxury. Yes, I regret not enjoying that amazing breakfast properly – but that’s on me, not the hotel. The Sofitel delivered on every promise. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Thank you for a fantastic stay!
Having stayed in so many hotels that I’ve lost count of, Sofitel Foshan definitely meets my high standard and expectations of a luxury hotel. I booked a junior suite and got upgraded to the french style suite (which was the highest tier) as an Accor Plus Platinum Member. The room: -Spacious, extravagant french inspired deco -Clean and comfortable. Satin slippers added a touch of luxe -Incredible view of the city from level 33 -Only downside is the air conditioning doesnt seem to be functional, it was too warm even when I had set it to 18 degrees. Food & Beverage: -Free lounge access at Club Millesimme, includes afternoon tea and happy hour. Basic bites and drinks, nothing too special. -Breakfast buffet was alright. There was oriental and western selection, with a small section of Indian cuisine as well (mainly butter chicken, prata, fried rice and samosa) Eggs and noodles live station were available. -We had the buffet dinner at Kwee Zeen on a Saturday night which costs about 488 yuan or something after our 20% hotel guest discount. 15% for Accor members. There was a wide range of seafood selection and also plenty of live stations! Pasta, grilled meat, oriental stir fry, sushi stations were available. Desserts included a variety of fruits, cakes, pastries and ice cream! Gym: -Huge, lots of equipments. Highly recommended for anyone and everyone to get a sweat in. Great views is a bonus. Managed to complete a little circuit workout! Service: -Staff were all hospitable and courteous, also eager to assist with anything and everything. I was offered late checkout even without me asking, and they also checked with me when is a good time for the birthday decorations and cake to be delivered. Thoughtful seevice which i really appreciate. Location: Attached to Louvre mall, a high end and luxury furniture mall. Next to it is Sunlink mall, something more mid-high tier furnitures. The whole city of Foshan is full of factories, showrooms and shops that overwhelms you. It’s highly recommended to find a sourcing agent or a local guide to bring you around. In addition, whatever you see in this hotel is available for sale as well - just approach the hotel staff.
Had a wonderful stay at Sofitel Foshan! The hotel itself is elegant, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, but what truly made the experience special was the exceptional service. A special thank you to Manager Asad, whose hard work and attention to detail really stood out. He genuinely cares about the guests and goes above and beyond to ensure everything is perfect. His dedication and professionalism made my stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Foshan—looking forward to coming back again!
This is an incredible Accor property. I have stayed at many Sofitels, Fairmonts, and Raffles and this property in Foshan was up there with the best of them. The staff was friendly and I had no problem with the communication barrier (I do not speak Chinese). The room was spacious and 5/5 on the amenities. The bed was incredibly comfortable, I'd like to have the same.one in my home. Location is great if you are in the area for the furniture industry but it's also convenient to many other areas in the Foshan area. I always felt safe in the general vicinity as well.
