Our second trip to this establishment. Speedy check in process. Mr Arturo greeted us on the elevator and made us feel welcome. He has been here 21 years!

Ummm yeah Zero Air Conditioning was a bit of a shock to us! We adapted and found that if we put the tower fan outside blowing cold air into the room thru the screen door it actually did help lower the room temp! Facilities were nice. They need a bar. Pool could be improved & used to draw more travelers! If it was too hot in our room we jumped in the pool! Idea! Expand the pool hours in the hot Summer months!
The only reason they’re getting two stars is because the refunded us. Otherwise they’d get no stars. 90 degrees in the room and non functional toilet after paying ~$700?? I just finished a 120 mile bike race- this is absolutely unacceptable. Appreciate they gave the money back but I sincerely wish I had booked elsewhere. Weekend in Avon is being cut short because we don’t have acceptable accommodation.
It’s June 18 and it’s 80 outside. There is NO AIR-CONDITIONING!! We were not told this when we booked our room. We drove approximately 1800 miles to get here and are exhausted. It’s hot in this room. We were given a sheet of paper that said there are box fans, tower fans and ceiling fans. Open the windows at night but keep them closed during the day. I would love a nap but it’s too hot to sleep. I feel like not having air conditioning in the summer is something that should have been conveyed when we booked the room. We would have chosen a different place. To say we are disappointed and will never come back here or recommend this hotel is an understatement. When we called customer service we were told there was nothing they could do. There is a hotel that is part of Marriott down the street with available rooms but it is a no go apparently.
No A/C in the rooms, water pressure in shower was minimal, elevator issues, reservation issues, housekeeping didn't clean my room after I requested it, no breakfast, had to pay extra for parking, had to listen to the carpets being cleaned on a Saturday, they were changing all the door locks, so I had to deal with someone in my room. Back to the elevator situation, it was a joke. The elevator would barely give people time to get off and no time for people to get on before the doors started closing. Once they started closing, there was no stopping the doors. The sensor to reopen the doors wasn't working. I got my arm stuck in the doors several times trying to stop the doors from closing and had to manually force them open. I also watched the elevator doors close on several people. I had to warn people not to stick their hands between the doors as it closing. Then once on the elevator is was a huge pain to get to the floor you wanted. I got stuck in it several times just trying to get to the first floor. The staff was ok, although at the end of the day, I feel like I was discrimated against for being a blue collar worker that decided to try to stay somewhere that I thought was going to be nice. When I had to extend my stay, I was basically told that they usually only cater to owners and high end clientele that know how long they need to stay. If I had know I was going to be treated like this, I would have never made reservations here. I checked out and went across the street to the Comfort Inn and have had such a better experience. I will never stay at a Sheraton property again.
