We were going to have snacks in the afternoon in the restaurant in the lobby.
We told Mr Law (lobby restaurant) that time that we need to take the bus at 14:30 and we didn't have much time left.
After some time , our foods were not ready n we told Mr Law that we didn't have time n to rush the foods.
He was very helpful n he went to the kitchen to help with the making of our foods which we found out when we tried to push them again n Mr Law brought the foods to our table himself.
It was so good of him to help with preparing the foods himself so that we can have them in time for our bus.
We were very grateful to him for his hospitality.

The staff here are incredibly well-trained, paying meticulous attention to every service detail—they even went out of their way to arrange our room exactly as we requested.
Stepping into the lobby, you're immediately struck by its grand, high-end luxurious vibe. However, given that this hotel has been around for quite some time, the decor definitely carries that unmistakable vintage charm.
The guest rooms follow suit with that old-school aesthetic, but they still retain a classic, refined elegance. The upkeep is immaculate—everything is maintained to a tee, which is seriously impressive for a property of this age.
Breakfast isn't a massive spread, but it covers all the standard international hotel bases you'd expect. The real highlight, though, is the Executive Lounge—it's perfectly positioned, offering sweeping views over the city. Catch it during sunset happy hour, and you'll find a great selection of light bites and drinks to unwind with.
Location-wise, it's super convenient, right on the bustling Guantai Road. If you're driving, there's a huge parking lot available, and the best part? It's completely free for hotel guests.
Sheraton Dongguan is an excellent choice for foreigners staying in the area. The hotel is comfortable and offers great service, but what makes it stand out is its location. You have easy access to the metro, plus several international pubs and restaurants nearby that cater to travelers and expats. It’s the ideal spot if you want convenience, comfort, and familiar options while exploring Dongguan.
Visited in 2019 when it was a great hotel. Coming back in 2025, as the city evolves, this place could use a refreshing update to keep up with the new vibe.
This hotel is for sure past it's glorious days!
Everything is quite old but much worse is that the room was really not cleaned very well. It should be no problem to use a vacuum cleaner to clean the hard food floor, but there was dust every where. Also the bath room had a strange smell (of diesel) and this was even mentioned by someone else for the exact same room (3001) some years ago!
Then there are no available outlets for the computer at the working desk, so you have to unplug something else.
The TV is a joke for the year 2023 (32 inches I guess).
The SPA is closed and the changing room for the pool and gym is a mess.
I think they have more or less given up on this hotel and hopefully it will be remodeled soon.
The breakfast is ok.
The Internet connection was not bad and even with a VPN installed, so that you can use Google and Whatsapp on your phone.
I guess I won't stay here again unless they do some remodelling.
