I don't recommend it. It's an old hotel, not worthy of a 5-star rating. 3 stars is a stretch due to its generosity. Everything is old and run-down. The only good thing is the location, but there's construction going on all around. Terrible internet quality. Breakfast is a 3 out of 5.

A good, affordable hotel in Sanya Bay. The rooms are a bit dated. They don't take a deposit.
We stayed at this hotel from March 12th to 19th. Before the trip, I read a lot of reviews and was scared because some reviews mentioned the hotel's location opposite a cemetery, that the breakfasts were terrible, that the hotel's location was bad—in general, there were a lot of negative things. Personally, I think the hotel's location is very good. It's a 15-minute taxi ride from the airport. Planes taking off aren't annoying, although you can hear them (with the doors and windows closed, you can't hear any noise). Shops, fruit stalls, and cafes are within walking distance, literally 3 minutes. A large grocery supermarket, an evening and night food market, and a bus stop are about a 15-minute walk away. There's plenty of walking space if you walk toward the Pullman Hotel; there's a beautiful pedestrian and park area. Our room was on the second floor with a balcony overlooking the garden. You could see a construction crane from the window, but there's no construction going on (they're building a new hotel across the street), so it was quiet. The room was nice, with a huge bed, comfortable mattress, and pillows. Everything you need was there, including a good hairdryer (important for women), a fumigator, a kettle and tea accessories, robes, and flip-flops. There was a table and two chairs on the balcony. The breakfasts were also good, with a large selection, mostly Chinese food, but even those who don't like that kind of food wouldn't go hungry. There weren't many types of fruit, just three to choose from, mostly watermelon, bananas, tangerines, dragon fruit, and melon. The selection changed daily. The hotel grounds were small but well-maintained, and there was a pool, although we didn't swim. There was a coffee shop on site where you could order alcoholic cocktails. The beach was nice, wide and endless. There were no sun loungers or umbrellas, so we bought a special mat (sold on every corner) and lay in the shade of the palm trees. There weren't any sand fleas (I've read a lot of reviews about them being found on this beach), but maybe it depends on the season, but we weren't bitten. The sea is clean, the water is warm, the waves are small, and the weather was mostly windy, but that didn't bother us at all. And most importantly, those writing about the cemetery across from the hotel, don't scare people! If you don't know it's a cemetery, you'll never guess. It's located across the road from the hotel, along the beach area, in the thicket, with some mounds. Some graves have tombstones, but there are no inscriptions or fences. My husband didn't even realize what it was until I told him. There's a well-equipped entrance to the beach: if you leave the hotel along that road, go left a few meters, down some steps, and then a wooden boardwalk leading to the beach, so no one walks through the cemetery. Overall, this fact didn't bother us at all. It's quiet in the evenings; there are no discos or noisy cafes nearby, and no one was making noise on the hotel grounds either, so it was comfortable. I definitely recommend this hotel and Sanya Bay beach.
The hotel is great. I highly recommend it. There is a restaurant outside, a cafe, a large swimming pool, sun loungers, you can leave your luggage in the locker after leaving the room without any problem. If we have a late departure, there are restaurants and shops nearby.
Staffs are polite and nice. Hotel environment so comfortable and will recommend to friends who wanna travel to Sanya
