Renaissance Haikou Hotel

The hotel itself was nice, and the rooms were actually quite nice, but I did feel misled on the booking because lounge access, which was a main reason we booked this hotel, was not actually available as it was shut down for renovation. The replacement they opened on the third floor was really bad. Otherwise it was a very good stay.

It's a great hotel, definitely a 4 or 5 star. The rooms are large and comfortable, with nice views of the golf course from the balcony. The Ritz Carlton is next door and they share the spa (and maybe the pool area?) the pool area is lush and feels very upscale. They are having a refit of the club lounge, so elite members are invited to high tea and cocktail hour in the lobby bar - the small cakes were excellent. Breakfast was a little disappointing - we came about 7:15 and there were no staff. No kitchen staff to serve guests and the food on display was cold. Tables were very dirty with other guest dishes and no staff were there to clear them. I thought it was odd for a high class hotel.

Beautiful hotel with spacious clean rooms and great service. Unfortunately a very sour impression was left at the end beacause we have never been returned our deposit of 2000 RMB which we paid by card at the beginning of our stay. Neither have we received any explanation as to why the deposit has not been returned. We are absolutely sure we have not damaged anything in the room or elsewhere during our stay.

Perfect and very organized. The food in the morning for breakfast is worth the price of the room alone. You can imagine having every possible thing you could ever desire put out for you to eat then this is the place. Everything you could ever want is at your beck and call and they have plenty of staff to help you. Grab your table and somebody will bring you milk coffee and whatever else you desire why you go to the buffet and pick out your food. Nothing but happiness
