Paco Hotel (Canton Tower Pazhou)

They gave complementary breakfast to our daughter as we booked a room for 2 and that came with 2 brkfst vouchers. Very clean & cozy rooms. Kind and helpful staff. We asked a lot of questions about places to visit and shopping options and got what we were looking for. Not the best location as a tourist but not too far with taxi/car

⭐☆☆☆☆ 1.5 / 5 This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had in China. First issue — the listing is misleading. The photos online make the place look clean and modern, but the actual property is nothing like that. It feels heavily edited and does not reflect reality. When you arrive, the front entrance already smells bad, almost like a mix of mold and a cat odor. That alone sets the tone. The building feels like it was something else before being turned into a hotel. Inside the room, it gets worse: Strong mold smell AC blowing out dirty, unpleasant air Overall environment feels unhealthy After staying, I actually got sick for about a week, which says a lot about the air quality. Another major concern — there is a large telecom tower on the roof, which is not something you expect directly above your room. I originally planned to stay a week but couldn’t even last 24 hours. Had to leave early. The surrounding area also doesn’t help — it doesn’t feel clean or comfortable. Bottom line Misleading listing, poor hygiene, bad air quality. Avoid.

First time visiting China. Great experience, very friendly and helpfull staff. Even with the language barrier they went out of their way to assist with any equiries. Would definately stay here again.
