Nice, clean, comfortable but a little bit old hotel

We had a very pleasant stay at the Ocean Hotel in Guangzhou. The standout feature here is definitely the service—the staff are incredibly polite, helpful, and attentive, making check-in and check-out smooth and welcoming. The rooms are clean, well-maintained, and provide everything you need for a comfortable stay. Free laundry service as well! The breakfast servings are also decent, offering a wide spread of options to start your day. The only downside is the location, as it is a bit off from the main centralized shopping districts. However, if you don't mind being slightly away from the shopping hubs, it's a reliable, comfortable hotel with excellent service. Great value for money!

They bought the old building behind the hotel and incorporated it into the hotel. It's like a 1-star guesthouse. If there are no rooms left in the main building, they give you a room from the old building. The rooms smell of chemicals. Terrible.
