I don’t normally write hotel reviews but I had a wonderful stay at the hotel! The overall experience was great, and I especially want to give a big shout-out to Varka Sun at the front desk.
Varka was incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout my stay. His warm and professional service really made me feel welcomed and well taken care of. It’s always the little details and genuine hospitality that make a stay memorable, and Varka definitely made a difference.
I’ll definitely consider staying at MO again the next time I’m back in Guangzhou. Hopefully I’ll get to see Varka again! Thank you for making my stay such a pleasant experience.
I had such a lovely experience at The Loft Bar at Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou, and a huge part of that was thanks to Crystal. She was incredibly friendly, warm, and accommodating throughout my visit, and genuinely made me feel very welcomed and comfortable.
She was attentive without being intrusive, always checking in at the right moments and making sure everything was taken care of. Her hospitality felt very natural and sincere, and she really added a personal touch to the whole experience.
Crystal is definitely an asset to The Loft Bar and Mandarin Oriental. Thank you for making my evening such an enjoyable one — I’ll definitely be back!
The Mandarin Oriental was truly the highlight of my stay in Guangzhou. From the moment you walk into the lobby, you feel like you’ve entered another world. The hotel is absolutely spectacular, and the rooms are beautiful.
What stood out most, though, was the impeccable service. I hurt my foot during my stay, and the staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. They went above and beyond to help me with everything from medicine to a wheelchair and made sure I was comfortable and taken care of throughout my stay.
The level of personal attention here is exceptional. A beautiful property made even more memorable by an amazing team.
We really enjoyed our stay at Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou. The hotel itself is beautiful. I particularly loved the design, with so much wood, high ceilings and art throughout the property. It feels warm, sophisticated and very comfortable at the same time. We actually enjoyed the atmosphere here even more than at Mandarin Oriental Singapore.
Breakfast was another highlight. There was an excellent combination of different cuisines, but also plenty of genuinely healthy options.
Service was excellent throughout our stay, but what I appreciated most was how helpful the team was beyond the usual hotel service.
My friends and I stayed in this hotel for three nights. The service here is absolutely impeccable and we all agree that we should specifically mention stephen the concierge who was enormously helpful to us at one point during our trip. He even took the opportunity of assisting us on his day off.
The rooms were absolutely superb, and we really enjoyed the very modern toilets!!
The presentation of breakfast was superb and the service was beyond anything that one could possibly expect.
The only slight issue that we thought was wrong - was the fact that there are only two seats in the whole of the ground floor near the reception area. This means that people who are waiting for taxes have to stand for 10 or 15 minutes as the two available seats are always taken. On one of the nights I saw three ladies had to sit on the ground!
I did mention this to the manager and he acknowledged that while having no proper seating is very “cool” - it is nevertheless uncomfortable for those who cannot stand for long periods waiting for cars or Taxis.
This is just a small thing. I hope it will be put right. This is an excellent Hotel and truly five star.
