Luxury hotel for approximately 1/3 price of comparable Chicago hotel. Don’t miss the breakfast but at some point. Quite large rooms. Very relaxing. Good weight room and swimming pool. Great hospitality.
Mohan at the front door very helpful, also Russian redhead woman:-) Everyone else also very friendly and helpful. Not that English speakers are relatively rare there, but they will always find you someone on the staff who can speak.
Staff do not enforce the hotel’s own non-smoking policy. Guests have to escalate it themselves.
Checked in to find a guest smoking in their room with the door wide open. Called the front desk and was told my floor was a smoking floor, which was never mentioned at check-in, not posted anywhere on the floor or in the room, and contradicted by the non-smoking listing on the booking platform.
Went to the front desk, night manager upgraded me to the top floor. Problem solved, but only because I pushed it.
A five-star hotel should not rely on guests to enforce its own policy.
I had a wonderful 3-day solo stay at Kande International Hotel. As an English-speaking traveler, I was initially a bit concerned about communication, but the staff truly went above and beyond to make my experience smooth and comfortable.
While not all staff members spoke English, their willingness to help, patience, and genuine hospitality more than made up for it. They consistently made an effort to assist me with everything I needed, which I deeply appreciated.
The location of the hotel is fantastic—right in the heart of a very lively area, surrounded by busy streets filled with restaurants, shops, and plenty of activity. It made exploring the city extremely convenient and enjoyable.
My room had a great view and was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained throughout my stay.
A special mention goes to the breakfast team, especially Mr. Evan Hu, who was the only staff member I interacted with who spoke English fluently. He took exceptional care of me every morning and ensured everything was arranged perfectly with his team, who were equally attentive and efficient.
I would also like to sincerely thank Ms. Eugenia, who was incredibly helpful during check-in and assisted me with navigating apps and getting around in China. Her support made a big difference in my overall experience.
Overall, this is a very good hotel with an excellent location and truly dedicated staff. I would definitely stay here again.
Upscale, good location with easy access to transit and shopping malls. Room is spacious but bathroom design is odd with huge sliding door. AC receptacles accept different types of plugs, no need for adoptor in most cases. Other than a USB charger, no other USB charging port is provided. The small fridge is placed inside a small cabinet without proper ventilation, you can feel the cabinet top is warm.
Unbelievable amenities and quality at this hotel. Spacious lobby but noisy. Service is up to my expectations for local hotels. The linens are CLEAN and thick. Cozy beds. Definitely my top choice in Dongguan.
