My family and I have stayed here twice now and had a great experience on both occasions thanks to the wonderful hotel staff, led by manager Dafne. On our first visit, we had a lot of trouble with our travels and upon arrival, there was an issue with the room booking (my fault). Dafne saw that we were distressed and stepped up without hesitation. She took my wife and child to eat and rest then promptly returned to helped me resolve the booking issue. She made us feel completely at home and turned a very stressful trip into an unforgettable experience. The staff at this hotel are all generally helpful and professional. Everyone is polite and patient despite this being a very popular hotel with a large number of guests. We also left one of our valuables at the hotel and it was found and promptly turned in by the staff. This is also a great place for kids (my daughter had the best time).

The Intercontinental Shenzhen is located right between Nanshan and Futian cbd areas - so location wise it is perfect if you want to explore both areas as they are only 10-15 minutes away by car. There's also a subway station right in front of the hotel. I love this location in particular because it is very lush and green, which provides a respite from the hustle and bustle of the city areas close by. The hotel has a Spanish theme with a Spanish ship as part of the hotel swimming pool area. The swimming pool is extensive in size and has an artificial beach area which is very welcoming. This is perfect for families and our kids enjoyed the pool. We were promptly upgraded to a suite as our original room had some issues, which showcases the excellent service shown by Dafne Lopez, the guest service manager. Our suite room was very spacious, clean, comfortable and well maintained. We were happy with this room. We had buffet breakfast at the hotel and it was a generous spread of food and drinks. We would definitely return to this hotel in our next visit - especially with such attentive service!

It’s a lovely property that offers a wide range of fantastic facilities, including a water park, an indoor swimming pool with a jacuzzi, a steam room and a sauna! But mostly I wish to commend the Guest Relations Manager, Dafne Lopez for her exceptional service to ensure we have a memorable stay. She was prompt, proactive, and followed up thoroughly! She strived to deliver a truly personalized experience, making us feel well cared for! I also appreciate Sirius at Club Intercontinental for arranging the suite with a private terrace, a real treat for my mom! Housekeeping, Crystal helped ensure our room was perfectly prepared. We absolutely enjoyed the luxury of an ensuite room complete with a private sauna for ultimate relaxation! I also would like to recognize Ellie, Tiki and Freya for working tirelessly during afternoon tea and cocktail service to provide all guests with a delightful experience! Finally, I must mention Jason Chen at Reception. He greeted us with genuine enthusiasm, setting a positive tone for our stay! Thank you everyone at InterContinental Shenzhen. We will be back soon!!

Usually our go-to hotel when visiting Shenzhen. Service is great and lots of things to do for the kids including beach area, huge swimming pool and water play areas, indoor and outdoor kids play etc. The staff are also great especially Dafne (guest relations manager) who is always on hand and super friendly.
