The beachfront location is exceptional, complemented by excellent front desk and concierge services. However, the kids' club and the hotel itself require upgrading. Ella & Flora plus the entire concierge and little robots provide excellent services to make my stay with my 7 year old unforgettable😉
Not really a 5 star hotel which i used to have for a Marriott hotel. The king size bed was all sagged as too old , need to removed asap. Got back pain after sleeping! Room looks like outdated. Overal this hotel needs a mayor renovation ! Outside the hotel nothing to do besides is next to a exposition hall
Very friendly staff. The whole place just feels unnecessarily massive and empty. As it's linked to a huge convention centre it lacks any kind of atmosphere. Beach is also hard to reach across and road and very industrial. Lounge had very average stale food. Breakfast was fine but again nothing at all special. Also very isolated with nothing around it except the massive exhibition centre attached
It’s my favorite hotel in hainan! Out of all the Marriotts I’ve stayed here and there, Haikou Marriott is the best and the one I’d love to come back again. Service is outstanding, from front desk to staff in the restaurant/ pool they always greet you and ensure your requests are handled immediately. Esp 小國from front desk and Jo Jo from restaurant are really impressive and made my family feel very welcomed. Thank you! Room/ balcony are spacious and nicely designed. Beds and pillows are comfy. They’ve got huge swimming pools and natural spring which is a good added value. It’s a bit far from city center but if you just wanna relax and enjoy the beach it’s a great value. Definitely will come back.
Overall, my experience was satisfying. However, I noticed that the hotel is in need of some repairs and appears to be short-staffed, particularly with experienced staff. There is a lack of proper maintenance, and the overall condition feels somewhat dated. On a positive note, the building and its surroundings are beautiful. While there is significant room for improvement, I understand that achieving these goals might be challenging due to the current staffing and management issues. The buffet offers a good selection of tasty food, which was a highlight of my stay.
