We absolutely loved our stay.. the location was great ..the rooms were spacious and clean and more importantly the service was amazing. The front desk receptionist Connie and the manager Alli were very helpful and friendly. They assisted right away when we needed help. Special shout out to them. We will definitely come back again and thank you again to the Hotel.
Great hotel, I've stayed here twice. The rooms are great, though probably are at least 5 years old I feel, some furnishings show a bit of wear. There's a massage place on the 2nd floor which is great if you want to get a massage. Gym is also pretty well specced with a bunch of machines and dumbbells, though no barbells/squat rack. Minor complaints: minor smoke smell in hallways at times, the gym can get kinda hot as the AC doesn't seem to be on full blast. There's 4 delivery robots so you won't ever have to wait too long for delivery unlike at some other hotels with just 1.

If you don't speak Chinese, this place probably isn't for you. No staff speak any english, and getting any kind of assistance is very difficult. Check-in is done via a translate app, which made it time consuming and harder than it needed to be. If the other staff around the hotel can't be bothered to get their translate app out, they tend to just stare at you without bothering to try and help. Swimming requires a swimming cap, so the pool is kind of rendered useless... As who in the world travels with a swimming cap unless they're an athlete!?! (and I was really looking forward to it as it's 36 degrees here in the summer). The location isn't great. Next to a major road and to get in and out by foot you need to walk along food paths with silent electric scooters whipping past you. I've almost been hit 3 times in the 24 hours I've been here. The rooms are nice, but the service, location and language barrier make this hotel a hard pass.

Where the hotel truly excelled was their service (4 stars) - the staff was exceptionally attentive, professional, and quick to respond to our requests, making us feel valued throughout our stay. The location (3 stars) proved convenient for our business meetings, with reasonable access to transportation options, though not directly adjacent to major attractions. The hotel's garden-themed common areas were a refreshing touch, providing a peaceful atmosphere after busy workdays. The breakfast buffet offered decent variety with both Western and Asian options. While not quite a luxury experience, Grand Skylight Garden Hotel delivers reliable accommodations with above-average service at a fair price point, making it a dependable choice for business travelers seeking comfort without extravagance.
