I have stayed at the Foshan Marriott three times and have been impressed on every visit. My Marriott Bonvoy Platinum status has always been recognized well, and the modern rooms are comfortable and thoughtfully designed. Of the two brands sharing the building, Marriott guests also receive the better breakfast offering. The main weakness is the location. The hotel is attached to a nearly deserted mall and feels somewhat isolated within Foshan, with little to explore immediately nearby. The concierge team has consistently been helpful and resourceful. English can be limited, but staff members readily use translation apps and make a genuine effort to communicate and solve problems. Despite the location, the combination of reliable quality, good status recognition and proactive service has made the Foshan Marriott a consistently positive choice across all three stays.

We booked for 3Nights in here. Room service was prompt n fast. Breakfast food variety was ok but slightly lacking as compared to Marriot in Beijing. Location was good as it is walking distance to next mall.
One of the best Marriott chain. The staff living up to traditional standard. The breakfast is probably the best among Marriott chains in China
I visited Guangzhou for the Canton Fair and stayed at the Marriott Foshan. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service to the fair, which was very convenient. The property is modern and well-maintained, featuring excellent facilities consistent with Marriott standards worldwide. There are numerous dining options nearby, including Thai, Japanese, and German restaurants, as well as food trucks. The only minor drawback is that few staff members speak English, though this did not cause any major issues. The hotel also provides a convenient currency exchange service with competitive rates.
The hotel is in the northern part of Foshan, near a mid-size mall, a lively night market, and a long canal with manicured gardens on both sides, scisscrossed with bridges. The area lights impressively at night, pleasant to be there day or night for walking and relaxing. The room was spacious and clean and service was friendly. The only problem was that the hotel shared the same building and elevators as the Courtyard, with check-in for Courtyard on level 1 and Marriott on level 2, with no visible indication of difference. Our taxi dropped us at the building entrance, we queued up behind a large rowdy group for nearly 30 min and was then told we had no reservation. On showing our reservation, we were directed to the Marriott check-in level, a completely avoidable hassle.
