"I booked three King Deluxe Suites with a clear request for adjoining rooms, as I was traveling with family. The hotel placed us in separate, distant rooms and did not inform us in advance that the pool was closed. Language barriers made even simple requests difficult—staff had to physically come to our room with a translation device to understand our needs. The property is marketed as being close to the port, but it is significantly farther and poorly located. Local taxis cap at 4 passengers, forcing our group of 6 to take three cars instead of two, and drivers could not locate the hotel unless we provided the Chinese name. While we appreciated the 2 PM late checkout, our experience was marred by early-morning construction noise, inconsistent air-conditioning, and the absence of complimentary coffee. These issues fell well below the standard implied by the booking description."

Having stayed at the Shenzhen Felicity Hotel, also known as Best Western Felicity Hotel, three times now, I can confidently say that it has become my go-to accommodation in Shenzhen. Each visit has been marked by exceptional service and a great overall experience. The hotel’s convenient location and welcoming atmosphere make it an ideal base for both business and leisure trips, and I’ve consistently appreciated the attention to detail and care from the staff.
the best is the 108¥ dim sum buffet. its actually a buffet with dim sum, caught my surprise, so there are bakery, deserts, hot made to order beef noodle and fish ball noodle, dried fried beef noodle. And the service is incredible
The room is spacious and with full amenities. The location is great, near subway (Line 1 and Line 9). Lots of food nearby and a 7-11 inside the hotel. It is also very near the border if need to go to Hongkong
I stayed at Best Western Shenzhen Felicity Hotel in Luohu for 3 nights in July 2025 Unfortunately, my experience was not pleasant, mainly due to the hotel's misleading location. Online maps made it seem like it was just a 5-minute walk across the road from the Luohu metro station, but in reality, you cannot cross the road directly. You must walk around a long detour, which is especially inconvenient in heavy rain and when carrying large luggage — as was my case. This made going in and out of the hotel every day a hassle. The walking route to and from the hotel was also very narrow, with no overhead shelter, so I had to walk under the scorching sun or heavy rain. Even worse, the path was shared with electric scooters, making it feel unsafe and uncomfortable every single time I went out or returned to the hotel. In addition, the tap water in the bathroom had a muddy smell, which made brushing my teeth quite unpleasant. This raises concerns about water hygiene and maintenance. On the last day, things got worse. It was pouring rain again, and I booked a ride-hailing car (¥9) online. However, I was shocked to find a sign at the hotel entrance saying ride-hailing cars are not allowed to enter the driveway. I had to wait at the entrance in the rain because the pickup point was far on the main road and the ground was slippery. A young hotel staff member at the gate kindly offered to help. He said he could carry my luggage and walk me to the border area (around 10–15 minutes) since the car couldn't come in. I was very thankful and offered him ¥20 as a tip to show my appreciation. To my surprise, instead of saying thank you, he told me ¥20 was not enough and insisted on at least ¥30. I was stunned, but gave him the extra money and left immediately. The whole experience left me extremely uncomfortable. This incident made me wonder — was he genuinely helping, or was this a kind of scam? Either way, this is not what I expect from a hotel staff member. I hope the hotel can look into this and improve both accessibility and staff training in the future.
