Huge, spacious rooms gave me and my family a comfortable stay in Guangzhou. Ended up getting a surprise upgrade (one more bedroom), which also added to our experience. Walking distance to Zhujiang New Town station, Flower City Square and Mall of the World, great for views of Canton Tower and a rainy day! The breakfast buffet was average, but the terrace just outside was gorgeous, with lush gardens and mini golf. Would love to stay here again if we come back!
The only good thing about this hotel is that the room is spacious. The housekeeping service is very poor. They don’t clean the rooms properly, and the room was still dirty even after they cleaned it. They treated us as if it were our first time staying in a hotel. It took them more than 30 minutes just to check us out. This is not what we expected from Ascott. We won’t be staying here again.

Stayed here from March 19–26, 2026, with my wife and our 10-month-old baby. We booked a one-bedroom premier apartment, and overall, it was a very comfortable stay. While there are some visible signs of the property aging, the room itself was clean, spacious, and well-maintained. The layout is excellent—especially for families—making it easy to relax and settle in. The location is truly unbeatable. Situated right in the heart of IFC in Guangzhou, it’s connected to three different malls via underground passages. Getting around is incredibly convenient, whether you’re commuting or exploring on foot—everything you need is within a 15-minute reach. If there’s one area for improvement, it would be the lobby and restaurant aesthetics. Enhancing these spaces would really elevate the overall experience and match the premium feel of the property. Lastly, the staff were wonderful—friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout our stay. Thank you for the warm hospitality!
We had a great stay at the Ascott in Guangzhou! It’s a very family-friendly property with spacious rooms, a delicious breakfast buffet, and genuinely kind, helpful staff. There’s a fun outdoor play area for kids and also an indoor playroom that includes a ball pit — a big hit with our little one! The pool area is also very nice, and the locker rooms feature both a dry sauna and a steam room, which made for a relaxing break during our stay. The only real downside was the bathroom design in the room — outdated and poorly laid out. It definitely needs a remodel and was the least comfortable part of the stay. Still, overall, this is a great option for families visiting Guangzhou, and we would gladly stay again.
