Ascott Guangzhou

Our big family visited Guangzhou last month and stayed at Ascott Tianhe Guangzhou. Since we were traveling during my mom’s and niece’s birthdays, we were pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful gesture from Vivian, who prepared special birthday gifts for both of them. They were truly thrilled and happy, which made our trip even more memorable. The room was spacious, featuring a comfortable living room and a fully equipped kitchenette—perfect for a family stay. We really appreciated the comfort and convenience. We will definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit to Guangzhou.

We stayed here as a family of 11 and had a fantastic experience. We booked two of the 2-bedroom apartments and one additional room with an extra bed. All three rooms were incredibly bright, clean, and felt brand new. One thing we really appreciated was the ample storage space—though there was so much of it that I actually managed to leave something behind! The facilities were top-notch; the in-room washer and dryer worked perfectly, and the staff were proactive in replacing the detergent as soon as it was used. As for breakfast, it was a sufficient and acceptable start to our day with no complaints at all. What truly set this stay apart, however, was the service. After realizing I’d left an item behind, I coordinated with Ms. Linda Liao from the service team. She and her team were incredibly helpful and managed to arrange for my belongings to be sent to a friend’s house for a very minimal cost. We are so thankful to Linda and the entire team for hosting us and making our family trip so memorable. We would definitely stay here again!

Breakfast : Not a lot of variety but serves the purpose. There is something for everyone. Has the usual staple food but efforts were seen in changing menu for other dishes everyday. Like the environment at the dining area. It was not crowded and people from diff countries respecting others' privacy. I am impressed. Thumbs up. Rooms: Newly renovated and furnished with quality appliances ( Siemens fridge, washing machine, kettle that can keep the water warm, dish washer and many more such as clean utensils. Only thing is housekeeping needs to be improved becauae the same roll of hair was still seated at the corner of the carpet for room 1209 for a few days. Rooms are spacious. Would be great if occupants do not smoke in the service apartment but this is gz wide issue. The second hand smoke everywhere is a deterrent for repeated visits to the country. Location : not the perfect spot though very near one high end shopping centre. Service: Booked 3 rooms, 1 was given earlier than the check in time, 1 at 2pm and another 1 at 4pm. That's why a 4 star. I understood that you have constraints but please settle it at your end. Don't tell me your problem. . Near main road and can hear horning from impatient GZ drivers, but bearable and beyond Hotel's control. Another suggestion is to make the entrance more wheelchair friendly. On the whole, Ascott Residence made my stay in GZ a pleasant one.

⸻ The hotel is clean and well-organized, but be aware: I was asked to pay a 1,000 CNY deposit, which they said would be refunded. Unfortunately, I still haven’t received the refund, even though I didn’t use any of the hotel’s facilities. The same thing happened to my colleague, who made a separate reservation at the same time. He also hasn’t received his deposit back. We’ve contacted the hotel in both Chinese and English, but there has been no response from management. Very disappointing experience.
