Amazing experience with a wonderful guide who obviously knows and loves the animals you're there to see! Numerous times I saw other guides drive on whilst our guide stopped and pointed out various lizards, birds and animals hidden away in the trees. The food provided was home made and tasted great and they really made sure you were comfortable throughout checking for toilet breaks. Come closing time whilst every other driver was heading for the exit our guide took us to a beach in the hopes of spotting an elephant he knew passed there frequently which was amazing! As we stayed in Galle the guide arranged transfer for us there and back at a great price as well and it was seamless. Thank you for the experience! I highly recommend this guide and would book again without question!

We had an amazing experience on our full day safari. Within the first hour we were lucky enough to see a leopard, and we saw many other animals through the day, including elephants, monkeys, antelopes, water buffalo, and another leopard! Srimal was an excellent guide - he was knowledgeable about the animals and knew where to look for them, usually making us the first group to see something! He was also friendly, and made sure we all had a great day! Breakfast and lunch were provided and were delicious. Overall, I highly recommend this safari!

We did our research before booking as we had heard some tour operators chase animals around the park and don't have the best practices. Yala Osha Safari Jeep Tours did not disappoint. We had the most amazing guide Su who took his time to explain everything we needed to know before entering the park. With luck on our side and Su with his 25 years experience we saw heaps of animals. Two leopards, many elephant, crocodiles, bufflo, mongooses, peacocks, green faces bee eaters, two different types of king fishers and many more. Su kept away from the many other jeeps in the area and we had a lovely relaxing safari taking in all the sounds and beauty this National Park has to offer. We were only going to do the half day tour however it was that good we stayed for the whole day. Water, lunch and dinner were provided. If you are looking to do a safari in Yala national park I can highly recommend Yala Osha Safari Jeep Tours and ask for Su!

we had the perfect day! we chose the all day safari! (would highly recommend) and we were in luck because our safari tour guide was su! he took us to the best spots, away from all the other jeeps so it felt so special! we saw all the animals we were hoping for and even more. you could really tell that su cared for the animals and that gave us a good feeling. we had the most relaxed day and would definetly highly recommend!

We had a great day with Su. The safari was perfectly organised. We see all animals (cocodile, elephant, jackal. …) even a Leopard we spotted. due to experience of Su we could see so many animals, and we were often allone, not with 20 jeeps around us. We would defenitly recvommend this safari. Full day is better than half. you have more chance to see animals and the park is so beautiful anyway.

We went on a full-day safari with the guide Su. It was really great! We all really wanted to see a leopard. Su knew exactly when a leopard was in the area and tracked it down. So we were able to observe a leopard hunting monkeys. Su knows exactly what he's doing. We had a great time with him! Thank you very much!

Our Guide SU He was so kind and gentle. He explained every detail about the fauna and vegetation in the park as well as the way the park has been preserved for years. He also persisted on finding Leopards for us to give us the opportunity to see them and understand their environment. We had a great time thanks SU .

Sudu was our driver and he was the best, he is a skillfull driver, told us alot about the animals we saw and made sure that we always had the best look out position to see animals. We had a great Safari! We went with our Safari guide Su, Whois very experienced and respects nature as well as the animals. We rushed to the park entry and were one of the first three cars to enter. He explained everything he did very well and once we entered the park, was really careful to stay away from the crowds so we were able to enjoy the animals we saw mostly by ourselves. The provided breakfast and lunch was also delicious and overall would really recommend! It was one of the most memorable days of our month in Sri Lanka! Thank you Su and Janaka!!

We went on a full day safari and had a really inspiring experience. Our driver, Su is the most knowledgeable person and feels like home in the wild. He knew exactly where and when to look! We found leopards and many other animals based only on natural signs rather than information on the phone from other drivers. Because of this we could fully enjoy the natural environment, instead of piling up with the other jeeps! I believe this is the real purpose of safaris! Su is a wise man and stood as an example of how to respect nature and animals. Unfortunately many others are money-orientated and forget the most important - nature first, ego last. Our safari was much more than expected and will be remembered!

Get up early and enjoy a speedy drive to the national park in an open jeep. Our driver Su is very nice and endeavours to get us to the park as early as possible in order to be at the front of the queue. He explains different approaches to the safari and we quickly agree with our companions how to approach the tour. We had a great day and even though we didn't get to see the famous leopard, we saw lots of animals, elephants, crocodiles, deer and much more, even a sloth bear. Any time again!

First of all we have to share that everything with Yala Osha Safari was just perfect from start to finish. I would recommend to do a full day and if possible few days. We did 5 days in total my sister and I. The owner and guide are amazing personalities with beautiful life experience to share. Very nice and sweet families it was really inspiring to play a small part of their successes. Our guide Sudu has 23 years experience in the park and he was truly incredible always putting the car in great position, anticipating leopard and bear crossing. He is a senior and we could see that he is both friends with many other guides who call him for sightings and highly respected in the community. Sudu was a very kind and caring person ensuring that we always get the best out of our journey. Great sense of detail. Base on what you want to see he will make the best possible plan I am a very experienced safari guest and I can normally judge the quality of a guide in a day. Sudu will be in the top 5 guides I had in my 20 years experience. We saw multiples leopard every day, sloth bear twice and multiple sightings of other wildlife. We had really good sightings of leopard on trees, on rocks and on the roads. We did Bloc 1 4 times which is definitively the best and block 5 which is beautiful and has a lot of birds of prey along the canal and a big group of hornbills. The owner also an experience guide help us plan the next day each evening giving us a lot of flexibility. Their cars are in perfect working conditions and we did not have any issues for the whole 5 days. One more point worth mentioning may be because that was a big question mark is the weather. We did 5 days at the end of July and did not encounter any rain. I take this opportunity to thanks them dearly for all they did and by the way my wife did love the wild honey and sambar I brought back

We had the best time on our safari! Our guide Ish was very informative, 13 years of experience and it is almost like an animal whisperer! We stayed in Yala section 1 and relied on him and his friends intel to find the leopard and other animals. I kid you not, within the 1st hour, we encountered Lucas, their largest leopard, 2x and it was phenomenal! We did the all day tour and throughly enjoyed every moment of it. There is a two hour break by the beach for lunch and honestly, it’s the hottest part of the day so you rest/nap as the park is closed during these hours. When 2 hits, you get back into the park. There is a definite lull in the heat of the day but you still see lots of birds, Buffalo, and random animals. The best times to see all the animals were in the morning after sunrise and just before sunset, an hour before leaving the park. At 5, we start heading back because it takes a long time to drive back to the entrance. The best part is we were able to see elephants just before leaving because they were out grazing again. With this tour, you don’t get out of the truck, so make you can wear comfortable clothes and shoes as you’ll be there from sunrise to sunset - except at lunch. Bathrooms are far - I think the only ones are at the lunch break so make sure you use the bathroom before getting in the truck and definitely during lunch. The guides will provide you with water all day, food for breakfast around 8am and they provide lunch as well at 12. Also don’t forget sun screen, but I also recommend a towel or shawl because one side of you will be in the sun all day so you’ll want to physically cover your arm or neck if you are sensitive. A sarong and hat but definitely bring that bottle of sunscreen. I personallY had a washcloth or hand towel that I would wet to keep me cool as the side of the vehicle is open like a hero - no windows except in the front that opens and close for viewing. It’s bumpy and you only have the railing/bar at the side to keep you in place so make sure you have great strength in your arm to keep you in your seat during the drive. I would not recommend this activity if you have major back injury or any injury that huge jostling will aggravate. The road is not paved and is very much an off reading experience. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend this if you have babies or really small children, but you do you. Keep a backpack or something to hold your smaller items because of jostling is intense and we were told that things go flying out - definitely have a strap on thinks like cameras, phones and anything you will use. No selfie sticks were allowed at all. Only what you can hold at arms length. I highly recommend Yala OSHA Safari as they did an excellent job fulfill our wishlist and more.

Yala Osha Safari provided us with one of the best experiences of our lives. Our guide, Ishara, was incredibly knowledgeable and experienced. We departed from the hotel at 4:30 in the morning and unforgettable journey started. Throughout the safari, we encountered elephants, crocodiles, monkeys, leopards, and many more fascinating animals. The organization of the safari was flawless, thanks to Ishara's professionalism. His ability to locate a leopard and point out details we would have otherwise missed was remarkable. I fully recommend going with yala osha safari for your trip to yala (and booking through their website). Sudu, our driver, was experienced and knowledgeable regarding the park and its inhabitants. The food provided was top notch and we were able to see a variety of animals close up including a leopard. Overall I found the full day safari to be a throughally enjoyable experience.

My partner and I went on the full day safari tour, and it was incredible!! Sudu, our host, was knowledgeable, friendly, kind, and a wonderful guide who prioritised his guests. He gave us the option to travel closely with a group of jeeps, and when they called on their group chat to inform that they saw something (eg, a leopard), we would all go to that location. Alternatively, he said we could drive around and do our own thing, using his knowledge of the area to show us what we would like to see. We opted for option 2, and it was an excellent choice! This way, we could travel around and appreciate the scenery and wildlife without sever other jeeps obstructing the view. We were fortunate enough to see a leopard and elephants close to the jeep, and Sudu did his best to help our chances at seeing leopard cubs too. As well as these, we saw water buffalo, jackals, spotted deer, mongoose, crocodiles, lizards, wild boar, monkeys and an array of birds. Sudu also provided us with a delicious traditional Sri Lankan breakfast, lunch and snacks throughout the day. Even if you don’t manage to see leopards, elephants or sloth bears (the three hardest to spot), there are plenty of other animals to see and the scenery is breathtaking so I definitely still recommend visiting!!

We booked 3 safaris with this provider. Sudu is a very smart and kind driver and guide. He knows the Yala National Park extremely good. Before the start, he asked about our expectations so that he could fulfil them as far as possible, which he did very well. On each day we saw at minimum 2 leopards and we were the first car at the gate. The food is also very good! Sudu cares about his guests and we can highly recomend this provider. We started on time with the driver picked us up at 4.30am, we waited in queue to enter Yala National Park at 6am and came out at 5pm. He is experienced driver knowing where to look for animals. The first few hours were driving searching for leopards and we managed to see 2 of them on street! The jeep is okay as it should be, we sat on the first row which is said to be the most comfortable seat and we enjoyed 270° view, the road was bumpy and at end of day our legs and back are sore. It was smooth and great day for us. Highly recommended

Tour was a success, Sudu our driver and guide managed to get us the best spot for the first leopard sighting even though it was crowded with jeeps. Second leopard sighting it was just us so pretty cool. Rest of the day we saw plenty of other animals, park is beautiful and the guide was passionate.

Our guide Mala was just tremendous. He picked us up at TARA Warergate Hotel in Tissa at 4:30 am and returned us there by about 7 pm - a 14.5 hour experience well worth it, including the maximum time in Yala: 6 am - 6 pm, allowing us to see dawn to dusk. Saw elephants (including baby elephants), a leopard, monitor lizard, deer, water buffalo, foxes, peacocks, mongooses, crocodiles, wild boar, several kinds of beautiful birds, gorgeous sunrise and sunset, amazing landscapes, and a lovely beach where he served us a good breakfast and lunch. His English was good which helped a lot. Mala really worked hard to give us a great experience. Be sure to tell him what you want to see and he will help you find it. He’s also good with taking photos for you and of you if you want that and with helping us find things using the binoculars he provided. I loved this experience and I highly recommend this guide and thiis company.. Yala and Mala rock!

We had a wonderful day. Our driver, Sudu, spoke very clear English. He had a lot of knowledge about the wildlife in the Park. Where and when to go. The lake views were stunning. We had the best time in Yala National Park with Osha Safaris. Our guide and driver Sudu was so knowledgeable and fun. He toke us into the quiet areas so we weren’t surrounded by other jeeps. We saw 3 leopards and plenty of elephants. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

We had an outstanding experience with our guide Sudu! Tour was super organized. Booked via WhatsApp with an answer within a few minutes confirmed for the next day. Our guide Sudu did an amazing job. First of all he explained us a lot about the nature, wildlife and also about the park. He had a good eye to spot any kind of animals and avoided to go to the crowded places. His experience allowed us to see 4 Leopards 🐆. Also, and for us the most important thing, he was totally careful about the environment and the animals, to not stress them and also let them space. Also we had 6 people in our jeep about same age, which makes it even more enjoyable to do the full day. We highly recommend to do the full day tour. It’s amazing in the morning to be first in the park and also to NOT need to rush through the park. Sudu took his time and did it the slow way. I think if every other guide would do like him this would be a win for the national park. All over all we give it a 12/10 and again highly recommend taking a tour with Sudu!!

We enjoyed this tour very much! Our guide Sudu was excellent. It was obvious that he genuinely cared about the animals and the jungle. He was so knowledgeable and could answer any question about anything. While other tour guides seemed to group up and try to corner the animals, Sudu took us to beautiful, serene places that allowed the animals to come to us. I would highly recommend this tour! There are many choices for safari guides, but Sudu is the best. We saw lots of birds, water buffalos, deer, crocodiles, mongooses, and monitors. We also saw a leopard and an elephant.

We were picked up on time at 5am for the full day safari. Before coming to Yala, we had read a lot of reviews citing 2 or 3 leopard sightings in one day, so we were very hopeful. Upon arrival in December, however, there was water everywhere, so we knew it could be tough. Our driver did his best, and we did see one leopard (though he was very far away in a tree). We also saw a sloth bear, which is even more elusive and a few elephants. I would certainly recommend other travelers to do a minimum of 2 or 3 safaris to maximize their chances of seeing everything they want. It was pouring down for most of our first day, so we were very glad to have more safaris with a nicer experience and even better sightings. Despite the rain and horrendous road conditions, we felt safe at all times thanks to the experienced driver. The food for breakfast and lunch was great. The one thing we didn’t like is the place where everyone gathers for lunch…there are no working restrooms and very few seating options. The park closes for 2h and it’s just too long to stand around. I would advise all tour companies to either bring picknick blankets, chairs or at least message their clients to bring a beach towel to sit on. However, this is a problem for everyone, not just this provider. Overall, we were happy with our experience and would recommend this tour and company.

Oh my god, what a day! I took a private safari, just me and the driver/guide and it did not disappoint 🙂 I went wanting to see one of the leopards that Yala is famous for, I saw two! 😀 One came within 20 feet of my jeep; super made up 😀😀😀 I also saw elephants, crocodiles, deer, buffalo and many types of bird life and much, much more My guide was exceptional and very knowledgeable of the park and animals in it. I really cannot recommend this company enough, they went above and beyond my expectations and if I could have given more than 5 stars I would 🙂 So once again, thank you, thank you, thank you Yala Osha Safari for a truly red letter day 🙂👍
