Activities & Attractions: In the morning, vist the Terracotta Army. Our guide and driver will help you avoid the overcrowded tour buses and slow-moving tour groups. Prepare to be amazed by 7,000 life-sized terracotta warriors laid out in an actual battle formation, which have been buried underground for more than 2,200 years. (The recommended visiting time is 2.5 hours, and the area is mainly flat.) The museum tour covers three original pits: Pit 1, which represents the main force; Pit 2, known as the Flexible Troupe; and Pit 3, serving as the Command Center. Undoubtedly, this is a valuable resource for exploring the history of China's first dynasty, the Qin Dynasty.

Warriors were awesome site. Our guide, Danny was terrific. Lunch at his Aunt’s home was also terrific.
Our guide Endi is simply amazing, he always is helpful and careful of the group in every moment and he explains very well the history of the place. Also, he had said to us the best spots inside to see the Terracota Warriors. Besides, the group have had lunch in Endi's house where his familiy lives and all of them are very loving and kind. No need to say the food was delicious. I would strongly recommend this activity
Andy was the best guide ever! Very passionate, knowledgeable, and generally a nice guy. He showed us the best spots during our terracotta visit and included many interesting facts. The local lunch was delicious and the people were very kind. The city tour (with the pagoda and city wall) was also perfect and insightful. We highly recommend doing this experience with Andy and his driver.
Everything was excellent! The Terracotta Army is truly impressive, and our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience enjoyable. The absolute highlight of the day was having a homemade lunch with the guide's parents. It was authentic, delicious, and a wonderful opportunity to experience genuine Chinese hospitality. I highly recommend this tour!
My family throughly enjoyed the Xi’an Terracotta Army tour with Andy. The pickup was on time and comfortable, Andy was knowledgeable and his English was excellent in communicating the history of the site. The attraction itself is EXTREMELY busy, with tens of thousands of people visiting each day, but Andy does his best to steer the tour group through the various pits and museums to get the best experience possible for the group. We also had the pleasure of going to Andy’s parent’s house for lunch where we experienced delicious home cooked Chinese fare and warm hospitality. I highly recommend anyone visiting Xi’an to do their tours with Andy. Thank you to you and your family for a memorable trip Andy!
Having a guide who can move easily through the crowds at the Terracotta Army site is very helpful. He gave us a lot of information, and lunch at his house was wonderful. High levels of quality and cleanliness, but not a super touristy experience. Real, home-cooked food. I 100% recommend the activity
Andy was a phenomenal tour guide! He gave an in depth tour about the history of Xi'an and the each exhibit of the Terracotta warriors. It was easy to understand and follow, and he was able to answer many questions from the tour group. We learned a lot and also had time to look at the exhibits on our own. He and his family also very graciously hosted us for lunch. This was delicious and very special. Highly recommend Andy as a tour guide when you are in Xi'an!
Small group, pick up and drop off from hotel, Andy the tour guide speaks very good English and he communicates with us very efficiently.
Great experience! Andy is very kind, and his family is too. He picked us up directly from the hotel and took us back there. Thanks to the guided tour, we were able to speed up the entry, which would have taken a long time on our own. Highly recommended!
Visiting the Terracotta Army was an unforgettable experience, and Marian made it even better. She was energetic, passionate, incredibly knowledgeable, and spoke excellent English, making the tour both informative and fun. A special thank you to our driver, Mr. Lu, who got us everywhere safely and comfortably. He was professional, friendly, and an excellent driver who made traveling between each stop completely stress free. The highlight of the day was having lunch at the owner’s, Andy’s, parents’ home. It was hands down the most authentic meal we had in China. They welcomed us into their home with such warmth and generosity, and every dish was absolutely delicious with fresh vegetables, flavorful proteins, homemade noodles, and tea. Sharing a meal in their home was a truly special experience and gave us a glimpse into genuine Chinese hospitality. It’s a memory we’ll always cherish. Thank you to Marian, Andy, Mr. Lu, and Andy’s parents for making this such an unforgettable day.
Andy is an outstandingly hard-working, trustworthy, and reliable guide. Always on time to the minute, and striving to make everyone in the group feel comfortable and included. The food we had at his parents house was straight out and by far the best I had in over a week of being in China. Couldn’t recommend more highly!
It was a great tour, Andy the tour guide was very knowledgeable and took Fantastic care of the whole group; he was always looking for the best of the group. Lunch was exquisite, home made food was incredible and the service was impeccable.
Andy, our tour guide, gave us a wonderful day out. We were picked up on time from our hotel in Xi’an and then joined our small group to drive a fairly short distance out of the city to the site of the world famous Terracotta Warriors. On the way Andy gave us some background on Emperor Qin Shihuang and the discovery of the Terracotta Warriors. Andy took us to all 3 pits at the site and made sure that we always found good spots to take our photos. We were fortunate that it was not too busy there that day. We then drove a short distance to Andy’s parents’ home, in a village nearby, where we enjoyed a delicious lunch cooked by his father with assistance from his mother. We cannot than Andy, his parents and our driver enough fur this very special day out in Xi’an. We recommend Andy’s tours to everyone!
The guide Andy was exceptional; he was able to accompany us in the best possible way during the visit to the Terracotta Army. He was very knowledgeable and guided us through the visit with his explanations, without ever being overbearing or boring. He knows the place well and knows the best places to stop. Without him, it wouldn't have been the same. The family lunch at his parents' house was very pleasant; we had a great meal. The transportation was perfect. They picked us up right on time according to the schedule agreed upon the day before. Highly recommended!
We had an amazing day with Andy! The pickup was smooth, the terracotta army was not rushed at all, gave us information about the history of Xi An but also the everyday life of people here. We didn’t have any problem understanding his English. The home-made meal was a great one with lots of vegetarian options! I also continued with the Giant Goose Pagoda tour with him and we went up to the wall. We also had a great tour, talking about buddhism and Xi An. Overall it was one of the most amazing experiences and I highly recommend taking this tour! Thank you Andy for a great day!
This was a really wonderful tour! Our excellent tour guide, Min, was extremely knowledgeable and so interesting and helpful. We saw the city wall and the Pagoda, and had a really delicious lunch with a local family. We then went to Terracotta Army and it really helped having a very experienced guide like Min. It really made all the difference! What a wonderful experience! I'd definitely recommend this to everyone!
Wonderful. We arrived from Shanghai, and our guide Andy arranged our hotel pickup, our itinerary, and our lunch. Everything was well organized. Lunch, which was hearty and tasty, at his parents' house, who were there and were very friendly and helpful, was one of the highlights of the day. Highly recommended.
Our guide for the day was Andy.. ....and he was excellent. Extremely knowledgeable with very good English. I cannot recommend this trip highly enough......a truly fabulous day.
The Organizer Andy is very responsive, I sent message through GetYourGuide app and he responded in 10 minutes, he sent picture with the pickup vehicle and our hotel entrance so we know exactly where and what vehicle. The tour lady Min is lovely, she guided us very well through the whole tour; the driver is also very on time and drove safely, Min and the driver communicated for each pickup timing after the stop so we can walk to the vehicle and get on without waiting. It was a heavy raining day but we had a very smooth and pleasant tour. Highly recommended!
Andy, our tour guide, was absolutely top. He clearly has a real vocation for what he does, he went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt comfortable at all times and he took special care of our baby daughter which we are extremely grateful for. His passion for the Terracotta Warriors and the history behind them was evident throughout the entire experience, which made the tour even more engaging. On top of that, the meal prepared by his family was one of the best we’ve had in China. Excellent tour!
Communications regarding pick up were efficient. Christina was a good tour leader, informative and maintained the schedule without being too strict. She kept the tour on track and regularly consulted to make sure that we were happy. Lunch at Andy's parents was a delicious window into Shaanxi home cooking. The tour itself covers a great deal without you ever feeling that you are on the bus too long. Recommended!
I visited the terracotta soldiers with my husband. My guide Andy was great! He had so many great suggestions and took nice photos for us. He also allowed us to choose if we wanted to extend our tour or book discounted options through him. Very useful because we did a day trip in Xian. We also ate lunch with his family in the Xian village. This was a very good tour. We really enjoyed it and Andy is so welcoming. I'm happy to support his business. He's an honest and kind guide and also extremely knowledgeable. I could tell he's definitely an expert!! He's also originally from Xian. Perfect! Thanks again Andy. 😊
Highly recommend this trip. I travelled with my two young teen kids and we had a fabulous time. Andy was a great communicator so we knew exactly when he’d pick us up. He knew all the good spots to stand in the pits for the best views, had great knowledge of the site and history, and shared interesting insights into Chinese daily life. Lunch was absolutely delicious - Andy’s Dad cooked about ten different dishes, all local and fresh and healthy and delicious. A mix of vegetable dishes, chicken and pork. His mum was lovely and it was clear they were a genuine family business who wanted to share their culture and history with visitors. Don’t hesitate.
We had an amazing experience. the tour was extremely prompt; hotel pick up was exactly at the time indicated. the drive from Xi'an to the Terracotta Warriors site was straightforward, with our guide Andy regaling us with tales about growing up in China, and also pointing things out around the city of Xi'an as we drove by. The tour itself was incredibly fun. we had nice spots to take pictures, and good view points. The place was crowded but we could still see things. Andy had an extensive knowledge of the history, discovery, restoration of the terracotta warriors and lots of anecdotes. sidenote- get the earpiece to hear him properly. THE FOOD AT LUNCH!! oh my goodness the food was excellent- it was some of the best food we had this trip. Simple fare with fresh vegetables, so tasty. We all loved it, Kids and adults alike. I highly recommend this tour. thank you so much Andy for being such a great guide and also such a great host. Greetings and thanks to your family.
Andy was fantastic. The whole trip was well organized, informative and fun. Lunch at Andy's parents home was amazing. A very unique and highly recommended experience.
this tour is a must. The tour guide, Andy was truly amazing. He explained so much about the Chinese culture and his information while at the terracotta army was very informative. We then went to his families home for a traditional Chinese meal and it was amazing. highly recommend.
Andy made an amazing tour! It was just on point, only the most interesting information. At the end of tour, a huge highlight of the tour is meeting his family at the house and eating delicious home-cooked meals that were accommodating everyone’s food preferences. Highly recommend!
Andy was fantastic so knowledgeable and great fun We had lunch at his mother’s house, the food was amazing He knows the exhibit very well and guided us to the best viewing points so we could get the opportunity to take great photos. Would highly recommend this tour with Andy. Had a fantastic day
Andy , great tour guide that explained and show around terracotta well. Had delicious local lunch in his home. Great experience. Thank you.
Terracotta warriors are really a wonder of the world and are a must see in China if you are interested in China’s extraordinary history. Out fabulous guide Luna brought this life with her knowledge of the warriors. She even taught us some Chinese characters on the drive back. We got picked up and dropped off rights outside our hotel and lunch in the local village was delicious. I couldn’t recommend Luna and this tour highly enough.
This was a fabulous tour and just perfect for a trip to the Warriors. Irene was fabulous, very knowledgeable and her English was perfect. Irene gave us a history of Xi’an and the dynasties and lots of details about how the warriors were found, and the restoration work. We had plenty of time in each place and Irene was happy to answer our questions, lunch with the family was also really good. So many wonderful dishes and great to chat with the other travellers. Bus was comfortable, driver was excellent too. Would highly recommend.
Excellent experience in Xi'An and at the Terracotta Army. Andy guided us around the city and the archaeological area, engaging us with interesting explanations. We also really appreciated the hospitality during lunch. Highly recommended!
What makes the difference in a tour is the guide's knowledge, charisma, and care. A perfect day. Andy took us deep into the history and kindly opened his home to us for a lunch prepared with great care. You can trust that this tour is really worth it!
Picks you up at tge hotel. Drives to site and provides good commentary. The Terracotta warriors is a must to see. Goes to parents restaurant for lunch. The lunch as many dfferent dishes.
We really enjoyed this tour and was one of the best we have had so far. Andy was awesome and gave us a lot of information about the terracotta warriors - not to mention the local lunch was delicious! Thanks Andy - we will hopefully be back again
Amazing experience and great value for the money spent. Andy was a perfect guide and the traditional lunch at his family’s place was very nice also. Recommend 100%

Everything was very well organized and we had a great time. All of the attractions we visited were memorable and the lunch was amazing with delicious food and friendly hosts. Our guide, Min, was amazing - very friendly & knowledgeable and she made sure that our trip ran smoothly. Our driver Lu was excellent, polite and always punctual. The car was extremely comfortable. We definitely recommend this tour.
Our tour operator (Willow) was very clear in her communication before the tour and picked us up at our hotel at the exact time that was communicated to us. the tour itself was great as well with plenty of locally prepared food afterwards for everyone to get their fill.
I had an amazing day visiting the terracotta warriors. Andy was a fantastic guide, with interesting stories and history to share. It was very helpful having a guide to explain context to the fantastical warriors and help navigate the busy venue. The lunch was delicious and his parents were lovely and very hospitable. Overall I highly recommend this guide if you’re interested in history, a friendly tour, and authentic tasty food!
Our guide provided a lot of both historical and practical information, I feel now I understand Terracota Army and why Chin dynasty lasted so short. He was very friendly and hrlpful, a family lunch was good, also vegetarian-friendly. If you are picked up from the hotel it's super easy, but if your accommodation is, for example in Muslim quarters, and you got a link with the meeting point, just ask the organizers which map you should open it with Google Map or Amap (Chinese map). Overall, it was a good experience.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude for Andy’ exceptional service. I’m truly glad I found him and chose as ourguide. Our visit to the Terracotta Warriors was not only highly professional and well-structured, but also wonderfully informative and engaging. I learned so much, and you presented everything with such clarity and passion. I also greatly appreciated the additional stories and insights you shared about Xi’an and China. For visitors who are not familiar with the country, this kind of context makes the experience far more meaningful. His flexibility, attentiveness, and understanding of what foreign guests might need made us feel very comfortable. His English is excellent, and communication was smooth and effortless. The lunch at his parents’ home was a truly special highlight. The dishes were delicious, healthy, and beautifully prepared. I was genuinely touched to see his parents putting such care into the cooking — it added a heartfelt, authentic dimension to
This tour was exactly what I was hoping for. My main goal was to see the Terracotta Army, and it was a good experience. Afterward, we had lunch with a local family, which was a great way to end the tour. I was really lucky with the group — there were only 9 of us, and everyone was friendly and kind. A special thank you to our guide, Willow. She is a true professional, very attentive, and always ready to help. She answered all our questions, and thanks to her, the tour was comfortable and informative. I would definitely recommend this tour
Such a well organised tour from start to finish. Our guide Andy was amazing - his knowledge and enthusiasm made the whole experience. That’s what a person who truly loves their job looks like. But the best part? Lunch at his parents’ house. The home-cooked local food was delicious! And meeting such a warm and friendly family was the cherry on top. We loved it all. Thank you!
This was honestly the best part of our trip! Andy is so friendly and an amazing tour guide. He helped us locate the least busy parts to enjoy the terracotta warriors on an extremely busy day. He even gave me and my friend miniature terracotta warrior souvenirs for free to thank us for traveling far from our hotel to get to the meeting spot. The best part was the food that was cooked by his wife and parents. This was some of the best food we’ve ever eaten and it was so nice to enjoy a home cooked meal not from a restaurant. Would highly recommend this to anyone who has the chance!!
We really enjoyed having Andy as our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and gave us good insight into the city of Xi’an and the terracotta warriors. His family was also very hospitable and we enjoyed their home cooked lunch very much.
This tour was amazing, Andy was a great guide with so much knowledge about the Terracotta Warriors. He gave us enough time to enjoy and take it all in. The tour needed with a lovely lunch at his parents home which was a special experience to have a home cooked Chinese succulent meal. Highly recommend!
Great guide, great experience
