Tina was an excellent guide taking us through Terracotta Warriors, bicycle ride on the city wall, and the wild Goose Pagoda. Lunch was excellent at an authentic local Chinese restaurant!!

We travelled to this ancient city as a couple and booked a day tour to experience the highlights of this city. We met with Tina in the morning and travelled to Terracotta Warriors, Qing Emperor Musoleum and the Big Wild Goose Pergoda. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Tina as she was insightful, knowledgeable and patient with our needs. The day was action packed yet at a great pace, we had plenty of breaks and learnt a lot about the Chinese history. Admission fees were reasonable. It's good to go in September as the crowd was smaller due to school holidays ending just a few days ago. Tina's English was also very fluent to help my partner understand everything that was going on. I want to thank her for her time today and making great memories for my partner and I here in Xi'an.

We booked a private tour for 2 people to see the famed Terracotta Warriors with Cindy as our guide. Collected at 8am sharp from our hotel we headed to the archaeological site approximately 1 hour away. Arriving at the site Cindy lead us through the intricacies of the entrance process and used the time to explain in perfect English the history of the find, the historical background that lead to unification under the First Emperor and what we were likely to see and do inside. This is a must see historical site and nothing prepared me for the scale of the place and the enormity of Pit 1 in particular. Nor was I prepared for the huge crowds on what Cindy told us was a relatively quiet day! But don’t be put off, it was well worth the struggle through the teaming throngs. The Warriors are magnificent and the stories behind them intriguing. After seeing all three Pits and the museum we went to a restaurant with Cindy and enjoyed an excellent lunch of local specialities picked by her. The afternoon at the hotsprings was a welcome relaxation from the morning before heading back to our hotel. An excellent tour with a great guide who was informed and informative.

Judy and our driver were excellent guides. Judy’s English was very good and her knowledge of the places we visited was seemingly limitless. Her insights into the personal stories behind The Warriors and the Chinese Dynasties, brought the history and development of China alive and her commentary and our discussions were never dry. She provided a safe, no stress walking tour of the warriors, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, and The Muslim Quarter. With sites of the Bell tower and Drum tower on the way. She guided us effortlessly through the masses of people, taking short cuts to avoid the main crowds at The warriors. She advised on Chinese customs, food and history and helped us order a delicious local lunch. She continually helped us get the best views and best photo opportunities and made the day very special. Our driver whose name I unfortunately couldn’t spell, picked us up with Judy, promptly from the hotel and transported us with great skill, safely and efficiently through Xi’an’s insane traffic. They dropped us off at the theatre in the evening, seeing us to our table for the dumpling meal and were waiting in the foyer to pick us up straight after the show. The show and the food, by the way, were both excellent. In my opinion, unless you have a working knowledge of Chinese and previous knowledge of Xi’an, I would say seeing these sights without Judy and our driver would be difficult if not virtually impossible, you would waste a lot of time and certainly miss out on details. Well worth the money to have the personal guide and private car. We did a tour of Tian’anmen and the Forbidden City a few days earlier in a bigger group and while it was nice to meet fellow travellers from around the world we did lose out on the one on one experience. The tour was beyond our expectations from the Terracotta Soldiers, Muslim corner, the mosque to the City Wall, it was simply awesome and plenty of knowledge about the Chinese history. It would not have been as informative and thorough as well as an adventure back in the past with our guide Tina. Tina has an amazing bank of knowledge and delivers with such enthusiasm and pride ensuring every detail is mentioned. Her english is well spoken and accurate, which was very important for us. We had lunch together and explored the Muslim corner, the mosque learning as we go, expanding our knowledge on the dynasties, the silk road and the wide rich culture of China. We ended the tour at the City Wall which was the last exciting phase of our day.

This Tour is the best way to enjoy the main attractions in Xi'an in one day! We had an intense and beautiful day with our Tour Guide Linda. Her advice and explanations were really valuable. She first took us to visit the Ming walls of the city, taking advantage of the morning and therefore the mildest temperatures. Next, Linda led us to the Goose Pagoda and then to the Terracotta Army... the eighth wonder of the ancient World! Linda was really helpful and answered all our questions. Lunch was a refreshing moment and Linda helped us choose the local dishes: lotus root is a must try, delicious! In the afternoon she recommended an "extra" tour that was absolutely worth it: the show on the Silk Road! 5 stars to Linda and a mention also to the Driver available too. Tour recommended!

We took a private tour of the terracotta and huaqing hot springs. The tour was fantastic and our guide, Eddie was very knowledgeable about the history of the terracotta. There are lots of people there but it was relatively easy for us as all the tickets were purchased before hand. We had our tour in English which was a huge plus point as neither of us spoke very good mandarin, let alone reading. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an English guide and wants to maximise your day in Xian

This one day tour was excellent. We had plenty of time to visit the warriors and the other sites. You get to see a lot in just one day. Our tour guide, Celine, was wonderful. She speaks English very well and was a wealth of knowledge. She was extremely helpful and willing to go the extra mile. I would highly recommend this tour.

We first met our frantic tour guide, Rosa, as we were having breakfast at out hotel. The Xi'an Marathon was that day and she was very concerned that they might close the street in front of the hotel thus depriving us of the tour to the Terracotta Warriors, the City Wall and the Muslim Square. Not to fear, we got on the road without incident and spent a splendid day with a very charming and knowledgeable Rosa. She knew many shortcuts to sights and had a very well thought out approach to how to structure the day. Rosa was disarmingly funny and all 5 of us commented on how much we enjoyed spending time with her. We have done many tours in many countries and Rosa was one of our favorites.

Eddie our guide met us at designated time in the hotel lobby. We set of to see the terra-cotta warriors and Eddie provided us with a brief history. On arrival Eddie knew all the short cuts to whisk us around the museum a head of the crowds. The next stop was the old goose pagoda followed by a fantastic authentic local cuisine lunch. We then had a wander around the wall prior to returning to our hotel We throughly recommend this tour. Eddie was a great guide.

My family and I chose to visit Xi’an so our children would get to see the Terracotta Warriors and experience Chinese culture and learn more about Chinese civilisation. Tina was our guide who met us early in the morning and stayed with us all the way till the end of the day. She was flexible and gave us the choices of what we could cover during the tour, helped us understand the key events in Chinese history during the tour, and provided us with translation help when we needed it. We were especially touched that she went the extra mile and advised us about the importance of collecting our tickets in advance for the bullet train that we were taking early the next day. Fantastic day tour of xi,an with maggie. We went to huaqing palace, the eastern gate of the 14k old city wall and the fabled warriors museum. Maggie is knowledgeable, a good storyteller with a wicked sense of humour and a really excellent conversationalist. We recommend her very highly.

We paid an English speaking guide 200 RMB for two hours to take us through the area. It is well worth it. We had to wear earphones so she doesn’t need to shout. She explained the history, how the site was discovered, how the pieces were restored, the fengshui, the different soldiers & their beer drinking belly, etc. I highly recommend it so one can have a better understanding of the amazing history and the worldview of ancient times.

She met us as we got off the overnight train (recommend!) and proceeded to show us around Xian with such pride and enthusiasm. My wife and had planned a one day excursion in Xi'an, mostly to see the terracotta army. As we were going to be in the city for only one day, we decided to book a private tour. Our tour guide, Wendy, was absolutely terrific. She organized our itinerary such to accommodate the things and places we wanted to see most and even planned to take us directly to the airport at the end of the tour to maximize out time. Wendy is very knowledgeable not only about Xi'an but many other historical events. We went to the folk village, terracotta army museum, had Biangbiang noodles for lunch (a must), the Muslim quarter and bazaar. Wendy was a great tour guide and it would not have been possible to visit as many places or learn about the historical importance of this city without her knowledge and expertise!
