Wow, Rocky really was the most kind, caring guide I've ever come across. As well as that, he was incredibly knowledgeable, polite and friendly. I was with my 76 year old mum and he really looked after us. Everything was done at her pace and he checked on her and helped her constantly. The warrior experience was unforgettable, but Rocky made this even better by being our bodyguard and standing behind us so we weren't pushed and shoved constantly. We had a choice of places for our itinerary, so we chose the stunningly beautiful winter palace and had plenty of time to enjoy the surroundings. Then the wild goose pagoda, where we learnt about the origins of Buddhism in China. It was a truly memorable day with a wonderful guide.

My husband and I had a truly enjoyable and memorable trip in Xi'an with Wendy's Xi’an Tours. Wendy was our guide for the Terracotta Museum and Huaqing Palace tour. She is very knowledgeable and her commentary was clear, detailed, and engaging. We're especially grateful to her for suggesting we bring our Huashan trip forward by a day because the weather was not looking good. It turned out to be excellent advice — the next day was very cloudy and we heard that those who went up couldn't see the views at all. Although we had to forfeit our history museum tickets and buy them again, it was definitely worth the change. It really shows how dedicated Wendy is — she even checked the weather forecast to make sure her guests get the best experience. Our driver John was also very friendly and helpful. On our way back from the Camel Bell show, we asked to be dropped off at the food street instead of our hotel. It was drizzling and when he noticed, he offered us his umbrella. I felt bad taking it since it was our last ride with him and we wouldn't be able to return it, but he kindly insisted and told us to just leave it at our hotel reception — he would come to collect it later. Knowledgeable about both substantive historical issues and navigating minor Chinese bureaucracy advantageously (maximizing ticket discounts for kids, etc) as well as good with families. Learned a bunch and enjoyed ourselves as well. Strong recommendation.

Wendy is an absolutely fantastic tour guide. We’re a family with four kids, with different energy levels, hunger levels, and attention spans. Wendy was so patient, kind, resourceful, and interesting that everyone - even my neurodivergent hormonal teen and my crankier youngest loved her. She explains things very clearly, tells fantastic stories, and is sufficiently engaging that my kids absorbed more in a day than they do in a month of school. She taught us all so much even just on the ride from the hotel to the Terracotta Warriors - and her knowledge base is vast, so she answers questions about much more than just the sites we were seeing. The full-day adventure was excellent. Our guide, Wendy, and driver picked us up from our hotel and everything was handled from beginning to end. Wendy has an great energy and deep knowledge of the sites. She was very receptive to all our questions. During our tour, a member of our party had a health issue that required extra attention. Wendy was very helpful and patient. She knew the sites well and was able to arrange for a wheelchair and places to rest until we could return to the vehicle. We were all very grateful for her thoughtfulness and experience. Would highly recommend her services.

A wonderful visit to a wonderful city! In just one day, we got to experience all the must sees of Xi An, including the great terracotta warriors. Wendy, our guide, was very educated and experienced, and absolutely charming throughout the whole journey. We even got insight on the local cuisine, and had lunch at a famous “biang biang” noodle restaurant, that was delicious. We definitely recommend for all wanting to discover the beautiful city of Xi An!

We had a great day with Wendy, after being recommended by a friend who did a tour with her last year. It was easy to organise with great communication through WhatsApp. The day was very relaxed with no time pressure at all. We were very glad we took the tour as it added a great deal to our understanding of the history and context of both the sites we visited, but also in the car and over lunch, of modern China. We were also very grateful for her recommendations for restaurants and massage spots in Xi’an which all proved to be exceptional and helped make our trip to Xi’an that much better, (And for helping us get some laundry done!) Wendy has a great approach, manner and excellent knowledge so we happily recommend her.

My husband and I did the private tour of Xi’an with our tour guide, Wendy and we had an amazing day! We were picked up promptly from our hotel and met our guide in the hotel lobby. First we went to the terracotta warriors. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history behind the site and pointed out so many details that we would have missed if we went alone. Then we went to the wild goose pagoda which was STUNNING! Wendy took such amazing photos of us while we were there. We stopped for biang biang noodles half way through the tour and she helped us order off the menu. We also had a separate dinner show booked for the evening and they offered to drive us there. Our driver for the day surprised us with a snack that we said we liked earlier in the day. This tour provided excellent service that went above and beyond our expectations. We had a great time today learning about Xi’an

Superbe Tour - great guide and extremely knowledgeable

I had a wonderful time with Wendy. She is so knowledgeable about the site, its history, and its philosophy. I enjoyed every moment of my time with her. We started at 8:30 am with a personal driver and visited the Bell Tower, the Drum Tower, and had a walk on the ancient city wall. Then, we headed to the main attraction: the Museum of the Terracotta Army. On our way, we watched an hour-long live show on the history of the terracotta soldiers. I have never seen anything like that before in my life! Watching that show before finally visiting the mesmerizing terracotta site allowed me to truly relate to the history, the human suffering, the consequences of war, and how an autocratic ruler can bring so much pain to people's lives. On the way back to the hotel, we also visited the Wild Goose Pagoda and the Muslim Quarter in Xi'an, where I tried some traditional Muslim food. It was truly a memorable tour!
