We came and ate on a Sunday menu. It started with a canopy which was nice enough (honestly can't remember what it was) then came the bread, and 2 butters with three pickles... the pickles were raw vegtables, swede, cabbage and I cant remember the 3rd one, it was very unforgettable.. I had the cod as my main which was nice, the pearl cauliflower was on the salty side but the rest was nice enough, nothing outstanding but nice. The treacle tart was nice, again nothing memorable but ok... its a shame as we had high expectations and were genuinely looking forward to our meal. I have to say though the waitresses and the rest of the staff were lovely and very accommodating.. this is an honest review. Would I come back ? ... maybe for an afternoon tea outside as the views are lovely, ... but to Henrock? ... No, I wouldnt to be honest

They say location, location and location. Just with that, this place is awesome. But then you add the beautiful building and the most attentive staff you can imagine. That makes this place a vacation to dream of. Beautiful English countryside serviced by, mostly, Italians. It doesn’t get any better than this!!!
We stayed for two nights and had a wonderful experience. We enjoyed a lovely dinner at Henrock, which was excellent. The breakfast selection, although not extensive, was of very high quality and everything we tried was delicious. Most of all, the staff were fantastic. We did have an unfortunate experience with a young man at reception, who made us feel unwelcome. However, the lovely lady at the front desk completely turned things around with her kindness and professionalism, leaving us with a very positive impression. The staff at the restaurant were much nicer and more professional than the young man at the front desk. Overall, we had a really great time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would happily return.
We had the afternoon tea, and can quite honestly say that we've never had better. The setting, the staff, the food; all absolutely fantastic. Delicious! Highly reccommed that you try for yourself, you won't regret it.
We had the most beautiful weekend at Linthwaite. The grounds are both spectacular and quirky, the views are lovely, our room (with a view) was comfy and luxurious and the staff were honestly great - helpful, friendly, and very welcoming (and often entertaining!). We ate in the bar one night, which was good if a bit overpriced, and Henrock the next, which was genuinely brilliant. We loved it, and are very much hoping to come back.
