We honestly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to get married. From the moment we arrived at Briery Wood Hotel, everything was completely hassle-free, and we felt so well looked after from start to finish. A special mention has to go to Sarah and Ellie, who were absolutely amazing throughout our stay. They were so friendly, attentive and helpful, and went above and beyond to make our day special. Ellie even helped us take loads of photos throughout the ceremony, which we are incredibly grateful for. They captured the moments beautifully and gave us some wonderful memories of our wedding day. The service throughout the hotel was excellent. Everything was ready and waiting for us, and all of the staff, from reception onwards, were incredibly friendly and attentive without ever being intrusive. For us, privacy was really important, and Briery Wood gave us exactly that. We were able to enjoy our special day together without feeling overwhelmed or surrounded by people. Our room was lovely too. It had a beautiful vintage feel, was incredibly quiet, and overlooked the gardens. The whirlpool bath was the perfect way to end such a special day and relax together. And then there was the food! Absolutely outstanding. The afternoon tea, dinner and breakfasts were all excellent quality, and there was certainly no danger of going hungry. There was plenty of it, too. My husband, who can definitely put away a fair amount of food, was finally defeated! 😂 What we loved most was how easy everything felt. We didn’t have to worry about organising or arranging anything on the day. Everything was taken care of, and we simply followed the instructions and enjoyed being together. It meant we could actually relax and take in the fact that we were getting married, rather than worrying about the little things. If I had to mention one very minor point, it would be that the lake is around a 40-minute walk from the hotel, which was a little further than we had expected. It wasn’t an issue for us at all as we drove, but it’s worth knowing if being right by the lake is important to you. Overall, we had the most wonderful experience at Briery Wood Hotel and would be incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make our elopement so special. We left with full stomachs, wonderful photographs and, most importantly, some very happy memories that we’ll treasure forever. She listened to every little detail we wanted, organised everything flawlessly, and completely took the stress away from us. Knowing everything was in such capable hands meant we were able to relax and enjoy every moment of our wedding. Nothing was ever too much trouble—even making sure the England match was on for our guests! It was those thoughtful little touches that made such a big difference and showed just how much they genuinely cared about making our day perfect. The venue itself was absolutely stunning and was everything we had hoped for. It was the perfect setting for our wedding, and our guests haven’t stopped talking about how beautiful it was. It created such an amazing atmosphere from start to finish, and we couldn’t have imagined celebrating anywhere else. We also want to say a huge thank you to every single member of staff who looked after us over both the Friday and Saturday. Every person we encountered was friendly, professional, and went out of their way to help not only us but every one of our guests. Their kindness, attention to detail, and willingness to do anything they could made everyone feel so welcome, and that is something we truly appreciate. Thank you all for giving us the most incredible wedding weekend. We will always look back on our time with such happy memories, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this venue to any couple looking for somewhere truly special.

You made the whole planning process so much easier, and we can’t thank you enough for everything you did to make our day so special. The wedding breakfast was absolutely outstanding! The beef was to die for—it literally melted in your mouth. We’ve had so many compliments from our guests about how delicious the food was, and it was one of the highlights of the day. A big thank you as well to the bar staff! You all helped make everyone’s night, kept the drinks flowing, and created such a fun atmosphere. Our guests had an amazing time, and that’s thanks to all of your hard work. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and beautifully presented. Waking up the next morning and enjoying the most amazing breakfast in bed as newlyweds was the perfect way to end such a magical celebration. Thank you to our wedding coordinator, Sarah and her team for making our wedding day everything we dreamed of and more. We can’t wait to come back and celebrate our anniversary with you. Had a wonderful stay at Briery Wood Country House Hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. The room was comfortable, clean, and very well maintained. The surroundings were fresh, peaceful, and relaxing, creating a comfortable atmosphere throughout the stay. The breakfast was an authentic English breakfast, freshly prepared and delicious. The waitress was especially kind, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. The warm hospitality and pleasant environment made the experience even more enjoyable. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
