Snorkel With Turtles & Kenepa Grandi Beach: Nr.1 Island Day Trip

High probability of seeing each. Easy going crew. Treated great. All of our needs were met. They even had snacks and drinks. Well prepared, well seasoned, and very experienced.

The guide was excellent, the pacing was good and the swimming with the turtles was amazing! I would definitely recommend!

We were really hoping to see turtles on this this experience, but that was not to be. We checked in on time at our pick up point but for some reason, the bus left the pick up 20 minutes late and then had issues at our next pick up site as well. The bus was a run down school bus. The first beach we went to was a lot of coral pieces, not sand but it was beautiful. They gave us unclean snorkel gear and we walked 25 yards to the beach and we were left on our own to try and find the turtles. We had 45 minutes at that beach and when we came back the guide asked who had seen turtles and only 8 people out of the 30 on the bus raised their hands. At the next beach it was sand and much more commercialized and crowded. We had a hour at that beach. The bus dropped us off and went to park in the bus area without giving us any snorkel gear. There were a couple people that had their own but no one saw turtles at that beach. Both beaches they took us to were not the ones mentioned in the description. The flamingos they mention in the description should be taken off. It is literally a drive by of where they live and it is day to day whether you are going to see them or not. It would be better to just leave it off and let it be a bonus if they are there and visible. Our guide was thrown into our tour last minute and he did ok. You could tell he was not in his comfort zone. Overall just a large disappointment. When booking through this platform and paying the price we pay, we were expecting to actually be taken to the places in the description and to see the turtles. What we got we could have hired a taxi to just take us to the beach for a lot less.

This was the highlight of our whole trip. The turtles were up close and personal. Anita was absolutely the BEST!!!

Enjoyed the turtle snorkeling and seeing wild flamingos. The guide provides a lot of local island history and information. I enjoyed learning about the holidays and school system in a lot of detail. I recommend this tour!

An absolutely negative experience and unacceptable service. We had a prepaid excursion, and once we disembarked from the cruise ship, the driver didn't wait for us and left, leaving us without the service we had regularly purchased. I find it absurd and unacceptable that a prepaid excursion could be handled this way. When organizing a service for cruise ship passengers, it is essential to respect schedules and, above all, to ensure that customers are actually present before departure. We wasted time, money, and, most importantly, an excursion we had planned and paid for. A truly disappointing experience and management that leaves much to be desired. I expect at least clarification and a refund for a service that was not performed. Marco

First off our tour guide Marsha and the bus driver were amazing. Give both a raise! This tour was so good. Went to turtle beach turtles were everywhere 2nd stop to the most beautiful beach ever!!!! You won’t be disappointed

This was a great tour. Our group only had 6 people, the guide was informative and even wrote a list of places to go during our stay.

10 outta 10 recommend! We had a group of 20 with our crew (family friends, 10 of them are kids. Ages from 2 to 15) Our tour guide lady was amazing. Once you get off the ship they are right on the pier holding signs for you to find, you check in with them get your wristbands and get on coach motorbus. It's about a 45-60 mins drive. We stopped on the side of the road to look at the flamingos for a few mins - then headed to the turtles for an hour- then to the beach for 1 hour and 1/2. Our tour guide talked the entire time giving us details about the area and what a everyday life looks like for them. The history was super cool to learn about.

Nice experience but the water gets murky and the turtles become hard to see due to so many people in the water.

This was an outstanding experience. Max was informative, humorous, and offered great tips to get the most out of our adventure. We could not believe how beautiful the beach was and snorkeling with turtles was bucket list material. The company was so accommodating, picking us up at the cruise terminal. They even adjusted our time because of the ship's schedule, so we would not miss anything. So glad we booked this adventure.

Apart from swimming with the turtles I got to learn history, culture, language, food, and several others from Marsha, our tour guide. The beaches the tour took were mesmerizing. I saw and swam with three different green turtles.

Wonderful guide Anita so friendly and knowledgeable gave us areas on the island to see and truly made us fall in love with Curacao. The world needs more people like her

The tour was so much fun! The guide and driver were both very nice and helpful. We were able to see multiple sea turtles and the kids also enjoyed jumping off the cliffs. I was also very thankful that the tour guides waited for our group as our cruise had been delayed into port due to a medical emergency. I was very thankful we were still able to participate in the excursion. Highly recommend!

We visited Playa Piskado (Playa Grandi) to snorkel with the sea turtles, and it is cool to see them up close. The fishermen were tossing fish guts into the water, which definitely attracts the turtles — amazing for photos, but also a bit smelly. There was also a man walking around with a sign aggressively asking people for money, which took away from the vibe. Chair rentals run $15 USD, and you only get about an hour here before moving on to Kenepa Grandi. Kenepa Grandi was lovely. The water is unbelievably clear, calm, and full of beautiful fish. It’s one of those beaches that looks exactly like the postcards — bright turquoise water and perfect swimming conditions. Also, only an hour here. The majority of the time was spent on the bus, with about a 45 min. drive each way. Bring your own snorkel! 🫠

Our excursion was absolutely unforgettable, and a huge part of that was because of Ms. Anita. From the moment we met her, she treated my husband and me like family. Her warmth, kindness, and genuine care made us feel welcomed, comfortable, and valued throughout the entire experience. A couple of things. First, it’s a LONG drives. Good news is the tour guide was awesome and told a very detailed history of the island nation. It was at times funny and sad, but always fascinating. The second thing is a lot of people do this excursion and the beach is crowded. You still see turtles (I had two come up right beside me and didn’t realize it until I saw them) and we were able to get some great pictures and video. So as a whole, it’s a good experience.

Anita was friendly and very informative - there wasn't a dull moment on the journey. My dismay comes from the snorkeling activity and the flamingos were going to see. We visited a spot with 1 turtle and there were 0 flamingos about. Of course, this is not within the guide's control but it was very disappointing

Our tour guide and driver were phenomenal. The water at the beach was crystal clear. The beach was uncrowded and so peaceful. The views on the drive and at the beach were amazing. This would have been a 5 star reviews had it not been for the condition of the bus and the fact that the snorkeling mouth pieces were used. The site stated snorkeling equipment provided. On other excursions the mouth pieces were all new. This tour didn't provide the option to purchase them new. We didn't find out until we arrived at thw beach

i have done a few turtle tours . this one is very good if you wanna me up close and see a few turtles. other ones ur lucky to see 1. be prepared for a long bus ride but the guide is nice and gives a very informative tour

Amazing!!! We decided to not do the excursion on our boat and chose this adventure instead. It was the best decision I've made on a cruise ship! We got lots of information about the island as we drove to the two beaches. Plus we made it to turtle Beach in the morning before everybody else. 100% totally worth it!!

Anita made this tour the best and unforgettable. She was so knowledgeable on the culture and history! I had trouble spotting the turtles but her expertise helped me find them. She strongly protects the turtles and therefore this tour felt even better! Anita made curaçao stand out, the best out of the “ABC” islands. 100% would do again and I would encourage you to book this if you are on a cruise. The driver and her made it one of their top priorities to make sure we got back on time. Which was never an issue, we got back almost 3 hours before departure.

Dahaina was our guide and she was such a delight!! She was so knowledgeable about this lovely island, its history, and shared personal stories as we drove to the turtles. We had fun interacting with the turtles, quietly watching them in their environment! Plus, the fish and giant pelicans were also great to see!

We actually did not do this trip as there were not enough participants. So the tour operator - Amauri tours- offered us. An upgrade to a different tour. So we switched to the 9 am Tour. Totally worked out for Us. We did the flamingos, hate cave, turtles snorkel at Oscar or and then the 2 hour beach stay. It really was so fun and we had Ana as our guide. She was awesome. The flamingos were close to the road The harp caves were really interesting. The turtle swim was at the more popular beach where a guy throws / gives fish to the turtles so they come closer. Some Comics with turtles on their stomachs and backs. Not recommended as no one should be touching the turtles. Anyway. Saw at least 7-8. Snorkels provided were good. Them I thought the beach would be boring but it was also so fun. Great place to eat at castaways and the swimming area was calm. And a real beach! Our hotel had a bulkhead beach- really a saltwater infinity pool. Which was very interesting and relaxing. Pick up and drop off at the hotel was perfect. Our tour bus ended up With a flat tire at the caves and 30 mins later We Were On our way again in a different bus. All handled very well. Anyway bring water shoes. Curaco is very rocky

Our driver Leo and our guide Anita were great but it wasn't the best day for turtles, except for one person in my group I think most people saw at least one but they were pretty scarce.

Great tour guide. Hato Caves were cooler than I was expecting. Wish we had gone to the turtle beach first though because by the time we got there there weren’t many turtles. I saw one and we only spent 45 minutes at that beach.

First off this tour was amazing because of the tour guide name Marsha. 23 years old and full of energy, passion, and knowledge of curaçao. Due to our group only having 6 people in it, we went to a smaller turtle beach called Daaibooi beach instead of the regular one. We had the beach area pretty much to ourselves and a couple of turtles hung around. With tons of fish. The tour offers snorkeling gear… we brought our own. Thou you will need water shoes for the first couple of feet getting into the water. After about 90 minutes we left and went to Kenapi beach. Amazing beautiful. There are stairs or a steep ramp to get down.

We had a great experience from beginning to end! The tour group picked us up on time. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining as we traveled through the island. Swimming with the sea turtles was an absolutely amazing experience! I would recommend it to anyone.

Took us to less crowded beach area to snorkel with turtles; excellent location and no other tour group there. 2nd beach stop also was great. Overall great experience. Would do it again. Tour guide and bus driver made this tour very enjoyable.
