Blue Curacao Factory And City Tour

Javier was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot of the history of Curacao. Javier was courteous and flexible with our time.

We were very excited about this tour and being assigned to our tour guide, Poppi, as we had read so many excellent reviews about him. However, when we arrived at the meeting place, we were told another group had requested him and we were being moved to Francesco’s group. This group was a bilingual tour. There were six of us total. My husband and I and two couples from Argentina that spoke zero English. Therefore, our tour guide had to explain everything to my husband and I in English and again to the other group in Spanish. This took so long and made for a long day. In addition, Francesco and the other group would all be in conversations throughout the tour, laughing, saying “ohhh”, etc., while me husband and I just sat there invisible. My husband and I always look forward to meeting new people on these tours and having conversations, ask questions, etc. this was not the case. We should've never been moved to this group in the first place. We spoke with other cruisers that booked this tour and they indicated they visited the distillery later in the day and it was very enjoyable to hear how the Blue Caraco was made and the story behind it. When we arrived, our tour guide indicated he had never seen it this busy. There had to be at least 8 tour buses, it was so crowded you couldn’t even walk around or hear anything about the processes of how the liqueurs were made. I would recommend if you purchased an English speaking tour guide through Viator, you make sure they do not add you to a bilingual tour…very disappointing.

This was an amazing tour experience. Papi kept the tour interesting and shared several historical facts about the island. I enjoyed this so much, it was a great way to spend my birthday morning.

Francisco was our tour guide today for the city tour. He was knowledgeable of the history of the city and did an amazing job of driving us around to points of interest. He was attentive to others as well. Some taxi drivers dropped off two people for a tour of the Curacao liquor, and they were struggling through. He brought them into our group to help get them through. His customer service is top notch!

It was very informative and fun. Papi was an amazing guide. Our entire family enjoyed every minute. Good option.

We saw a lot of the island. Our tour guide was VERY energetic which made it fun. The tour lasted much longer than the listed 2 and half hours which was great because we would not have experienced as much as we did in only 2 and half hours.

Our driver Francesco was fantastic and really made the tour enjoyable. He was very informative about the island, helpful getting us in and out of the van, and was also our guide at the distillery, which was a really cool bonus. The main downside was that our initial driver was about 30 minutes late, and we were dropped off at another location to transfer to Francesco’s van. Aside from that, everything went smoothly. The only entry fee I noticed was at the distillery, which was reasonable. Overall, I would definitely do the tour again. Francesco was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience worthwhile. My only hesitation would be the price—I’d definitely recommend it at a lower price point.

Papi was an excellent guide!! Up beat and knowledgeable about the island, and obviously had a great repore with the locals. If you're planning a tour ask for Papi!

Fun city tour! Curaçao liqueur facilities were interesting and tasty. Our guide Papi was excellent! Great sense of humor and so much energy! We had a awesome time!

Poppy is an absolute blast. He is super energetic and knows his country! He had us laughing the entire time. He drove very safe and made us comfortable to be out and about in a different country. Was so glad we decided to book through Viator instead of through the resort. Would 10000x recommend booking this trip. You won’t regret it.

Great combination tour you are interested in historic Curacao distillery and want a general historic overview and exposure to different parts of downtown. Two hours built in for lunch and free roam. Papi, who was very energetic, informative, and amazing was very knowledgeable and provided good recommendations. It was a good approach to drive around different parts of city first to develop a better idea of where you want to spend free time. Pick up from hotel went smooth as well

Papi pulled into the resort with his music blaring and dancing and as he got out of the van his energy was off the charts. We had the best time with him. He is an entertainer for sure. We were laughing so hard we were crying. We toured the distillery and got to taste test the different liquors. We went downtown by the cruise ships and back around to the other side to go across the floating bridge and take pics of the colorful buildings. We walked around and had lunch and Papi was more than happy to take our photos anywhere we went. I liked that it wasn't an all day trip but it gave us enough time to explore the city. We all had a blast and it was all because of the tour guide. Papi was AMAZING!! If you are looking to have a great time and laugh alot, I would request Papi. He may not be for everyone but he was perfect for our group. THANKS AGAIN PAPI! You made our trip one to remember!

Great tour guide....we never felt rushed and we weee the only couple on the tour so it was informative and fun. Free time to explore was a bonus.

Francisco (Georgie) was a delight! He grew up in Curaçaos and was very knowledgeable about the island and island life. The one thing I wanted was postcards for my dad and granddaughter along with postage stamps so they could be mailed from the island. Francisco thought it was funny that it was my main concern but he made sure the mission was accomplished! Would definitely use this company and Francisco again.
