Stayed at Elements recently and had the most amazing experience! The staff were super courteous and facilitative, especially Armondy (hope I got his name right). I really appreciated their attention to detail and cleanliness. Will definitely recommend & revisit soon!

Unfortunately this was not a good experience. We ended up leaving this hotel and booking at the Art Hotel. Our reservation was not refundable, but we chose to eat the cost. They have the potential to be a great hotel based on the location, which is amazing. However, the carpet in the hallway looks as if it's been glued to the sub floor with leftover sections of carpet from a different project.. There's dirt all over the halls and carpet. There was a hole that had been filled with some yellow patchwork, where the fan appeared to have fallen out at some point. The furniture had stains everywhere..we didn't feel comfortable sitting on the furniture. There was a cheap plastic liner in the shower [no curtain] that was too short for the shower, so water spilled all over the floor. And lastly there was some type of tiny water bugs around the sink in the bathroom. The only positives were the location and that there's no carpet in the room.. and the windows are tinted so that helps with the heat. I would equate this to some a cheap motel.
I can't say enough positive things about this place. We had an excellent hotel stay!! There's an awesome rooftop bar called Cascada with some of the most stunning sunsets and incredible ocean/city views- drinks are great too! A+ rating goes to the location... everything was within a walking distance (floating market, shops, restos, etc). An additional perk is that we were able to rent a car quite easily through the hotel directly to explore the outskirts. I highly recommend that you do, especially since you can supposedly drive the entire island in 2 hours!
This place is not as advertised. The rooms are smaller and less "nice" on the inside. There are no markings on the exterior to say there is a hotel there. Instead, you have to walk down the corridor in the center of the building to an elevator that has a placard where the hotel is mentioned. My room had an initial mild musty smell to it but as my stay went on, it was replaced with a mild sewage smell. My room overlooked the center coridor as mentioned before directly across from another room. I couldn't open my blinds as it would allow people from the rooms across from me and the patrons at the bar on the roof to look directly into my room. The worst part was that bar on the roof played extremely loud music until midnight every single night of the week. I was here for work and could not go to sleep until it was over. No parking available except for paid street parking which was usually full when I returned to the hotel and a garage on the next block that was over $20 USD a day. The staff was nice, not a 4 star hotel by any means. I didn't mention anything as I was just there for work and no other room would have been any different. Left a day early and would not refund for the last day I was going to be there.
Great hotel if you want to be in the center of town. All the main tourist attractions are a 5 minute walk from your door. The rooms are clean and comfortable and spacious. There are a lot of dining options in the hotel. The ocean views are great, and if you love a good night life, they absolutely provide that.
