When I say HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE it’s an understatement. The staff was so unfriendly and not very welcoming. The resort doesn’t feel like a resort, it feels like a cheap hotel. It needs a lot of updating and a good cleaning. A lot of broken things through out. It has 3 main restaurants which are not all open at the same time which makes your wait time for dinner LOONG. The service at dinner AWFUL. You wait upwards of 30 minutes just to take Your order and get water. The beach is NOT big at all. Room service takes 2 hours that’s if they even pick up, I had to go thru the front desk to get anything done. I didn’t get the room that my travel agent booked for us, when we spoke up at the front desk they moved us and gave us a room with the view of all their junk storage area as retaliation. You have to hunt down people for drinks, for towels. We ended up get sick of the the food. The staff walks around with such bad attitude and make really awful faces when you ask for ANYTHING!!! This seems to be geared for a senior citizen crown and we felt so out of place. Just don’t do it, you will NOT enjoy this place what so ever.

All-inclusive… except, apparently, when it comes to food and drinks. Service was consistently slow and required multiple follow-ups. Drinks arrived after entrees at dinner, some entrees beat the appetizers to the table and a bug in the water glass was an especially memorable touch. Wouldn’t have been a big deal if the staff handled it quickly. The execution simply isn’t there. For an all-inclusive resort, the basics should be the easiest part and they weren’t.
I’m not sure if I stayed in a different hotel then some of you in the comments here or if the hotel had a renovation since then, but if not y’all must stay in nothing but Ritz-Carltons. This resort is fantastic! The food at all 3 restaurants is excellent and many dishes are tailored to the local cuisine. The pool are is pristine and luxurious. They have a kids pool our son loved. Decent beach access. There entertainment all day long and they had a marching band downstairs last evening I’m completely serious. There’s a casino for anyone interested in that 10am to 4am. The gym is gorgeous and overlooks the water. The gardeners were pulling and maintaining the property daily while I was there. We had no issues with service. They brought us extra blankets, towels, water in a timely manner. The room itself was large. I’d say if I was going to knock it a few points maybe the room wasn’t the most modern/new but was still more than suitable. I’m not sure what y’all were expecting but I’m glad I read all your spoiled and self-entitled reviews because the resort actually blew me away with my lowered expectations. It’s not the St Regis Bora Bora, but it’s still definitely luxury in a tropical location. If your a normal human, you’ll love it here!
I visited Dreams Curacao in mid July 2026 to celebrate my good friend’s birthday. This was my first time at an all inclusive resort. I’ve always had misgivings about staying at one and those misgivings were completed confirmed. Pros: • Great staff • Beautiful beach and pool area. • Room service was fast and THAT food was good. Cons: • 2 days of random power outages. There’s no generator to at least light the hallways and stairwells. Our 4th floor stairwell door had no return knob! There seems to be a generator on the ground floor. • The food was mediocre at best. (I had some histamine reactions from it). • Extra costs for eating something fresh from the menu. • If you want to go off of the property to near by resorts, there was a cost. • Because the buffet was open, food should have been better protected from the birds. We saw them take a whole pancake off of the bar. I recommend doing your homework on other resorts.
We are currently staying at Dreams Curaçao and, unfortunately, our experience has been disappointing overall. The staff has been the highlight of our stay. Everyone we've interacted with has been friendly, welcoming, and genuinely tries to help. Their service is the resort's biggest strength. Unfortunately, the property itself falls short. The rooms are outdated and could use a thorough deep cleaning. The air conditioning never cooled the room enough to be truly comfortable. The shower only provided lukewarm water, and there was a period when the water was completely out during our stay. The food has also been underwhelming. We'd rate it about 4 out of 10. At breakfast, we even had to wait about 10 minutes just to receive utensils after we found a table. The location is beautiful, and the employees deserve recognition for their hospitality. However, the condition of the rooms, inconsistent utilities, and disappointing food made this feel well below the standard we expected from a Dreams.
