Friendly and helpful local staff, working strictly within the structures of a major foreign US chain. America away from home. Very nice swimming pool, hearty breakfast. Crowd here mostly Americans with a smattering of one or two Dutch. Very expensive. To the point it offended me. I stayed a lot Itu them in Washington DC and the prices were fair; not here.
Just ended a wonderful 7 day trip in Curacao, stayed at Courtyard by Marriott Curacao. Great accommodation for our family, everything was clean, easy to access, easy parking and the staff were just so very kind!! The restaurant is incredible! You cannot go wrong with their menu...usually a little hesitant with in-house hotel restaurants with typically being mediocre and overpriced but here at courtyard by marriott the restaurant was amazing...Their dinner menu is like a 5 star restaurant and quality is unbeatable. Totally worth it and highly encourage anyone to try dinner there! Thank you Courtyard by Marriott, we know where to return to! Appreciate your kindness and hospitality!
It's around 30 minutes drive from the Airport. The Location is ideal as it's a 10 minute walk to Queen Emma Bridge, neighbours the Mangrove park and a 5 minute walk to the bus station. The food is great, the rooms are spacious with a large smart TV, the swimming pool add more beauty to the hotel. The beds are very comfortable and there are no noises from outside. The house keeping is on a daily. There is a car rental service on the premises plus shops.
In my opinion the hotel it's just ok. Nothing special, but not bad either. It has its good quqlities, such as clean rooms, soft beds, and pool area. Not so good, is the service. Though the people are great, there is simply not enough staff to operate the hotel and provide good service. The pool bar is left un attended for long periods of time; so that means no basic service like towels, water, drinks, food, etc. The food is basic often times cold. For the price of breakfast, the buffet that's offered does not offer a good variety. I recommend eating of site. Like I said not a bad option, but I would recommend, if your pocket would allow, staying elsewhere.
In the rooms they have just a refrigerator and temperature can’t be controlled. So a lot of our sea food was spoiled by the next day. No microwave are in room. Room service was great and did a good cleaning job. They even asked if certain area needs focusing on and make sure it didn’t smell from the accident from prior night. We had the best rooms also with “beach view” better off getting partial or pool view as most of the view is parking lot and the sea is like 200yards away so it’s not worth the price difference. Ships often dock each day so that further blocks your view. Also on the weekends a lot of activity in parking lots. So if you want somewhere quiet then another part of hotel would be better.
