I had an amazing time with my private dinner on the beach. Our host Stephanie was phenomenal. She has an amazing spirit and made sure me and my husband enjoyed every part of the dinner. A big thank you to Chef Claude, the amazing three course meal was so tasty with love!!

My girlfriend and I just recently returned from a week at the Avila Beach Hotel and it was an amazing experience and relaxing vibe all around. From the start they welcome you with drinks but where can I begin... from the accommodations, to the food, drinks, views, spa and the staff. The food was amazing from the Pen to the Blues Caribbean Kitchen, good portion sizes for the money and the wait staff in both were great. The drinks were on point and perfect to put you in lounge mode. My guy Clyde was a great host all week and literally did it all he was on the beach taking orders, to bartender at Schooner Bar, to towel guy amd still made the customer his priority. Which leads me to my one negative the staff here seemed spread thin and juggling multiple positions at once. However any staff member that I did encounter was more than willing to do anything for you. Spa was amazing as well, we did a ln hour couples massage and Cloud 9 Spa was a great experience. We give this place 10/10 and will definitely be back.
Let's just say this could have been the trip from hell. I was informed 3 weeks prior to my trip that my original hotel TUI was not going to be open and I needed to stay somewhere else (they gave me the option to help me find other accommodations or to look on my own). I chose to for them to find somewhere else comparable for me to stay. I originally liked none of the other options due to my standards, not being all inclusive, or price. Eventually I settled on their sister property Avila reluctantly. LET ME SAY THIS WAS THE BEST DECISION I COULD HAVE MADE! The people and the food were the best part about my experience. I travel often and let em just say this was the best resort food I have ever had. I wanted all inclusive but that was not an option but I did go with full board which was a great choice (if doing it again I may do half board just to give me an option to explore the local restaurants more). From check in to check out, they were so attentive, clean, and helpful at the resort. The housekeeping staff had the room spotless everyday. Location wise, although hot as hell, we walked a few days downtown to Punda and caught the fairly to Otrabanda as well (taxis are hella expensive to go nowhere). My partner had the best time ever, she made so many friends and we promised to come back annually if we can. If you make it here, there are a list of people you absolutely have to meet, they make the experience 100x better: Carina, Lakysha, Chantal, Angel, Clyde, Thibisay, Juian, Ziki, and Jesus. Pack your bags now and book your trip!!
Can’t recommend this place enough. The snorkeling here was better than most of the other beaches I went to. The suites are simple in a luxurious way. I stayed in one of the oceanfront suites and it was so worth the extra cost. The service is great. The lobby is gorgeous. The white sand beaches are so nice. It’s never overcrowded so there were always chairs and umbrellas available. Each restaurant is gorgeous and has a great vibe. The one downside is the food isn’t very good. I didn’t try the breakfast buffet after my first few attempts at the restaurants so maybe that was better. Great restaurants directly across the street though. They did deliver a gorgeous fruit bowl to my room the first day that was definitely worth it. I also got a spa service - I wouldn’t call it a luxury experience but I enjoyed it and was relaxed after. The staff are amazing in the hotel and the car rental is on site (definitely rent a car cabs are insane). You can also walk to so many places from the hotel. The location is great. The neighborhood felt super safe even as a solo female. I’m literally devastated that I didn’t plan to stay an extra week. The gym is well equipped and has gorgeous views. I saw some other accommodations in the area first hand and really found nothing that compared to this. I expected a little bit more of a party vibe and that really wasn’t the scene here but you are close to Willemstad and Mambo beach. The quiet was lovely to come home to each night.
Room 287 was found to be spacious with house keeping always providing excellent daily service. Room had a view to the west so overlooked the ocean towards Williamsburg. Restraunts provided great service with a good options. We found the fish of the day to be most enjoyable at both restraunts. Hamburgers were very large and cooked to order. Don't forget to attend live band on Thursday I was informed they are a regular feature and not to be missed. Also, BBQ night on Saturdays. The breakfast bar offers all you would want and more. The bars were good with the West bar offering better service consistently. Mr. Sheldon took great care to insure our thirst was quenched. The private beaches provided good snorkeling opportunities with lots of fish and coral just outside the barrier. One drawback during our visit was a scheduled wedding which required half of the west beach to be closed off for an entire Saturday. Unfortunately this was the side of our room so we had to walk around the setting up and finally the wedding May be worth inquiring if you don't want any surprise interruptions.
