We will pick you up near the port at 9:15am. When you disembark, follow the signs to the Independent Tour Operator Pick Up Area. It’s about a 500m walk from your ship.
Our shop is the starting point for your tour. By Chaffers Dock Marina, just a 5 minute walk from Wellington iSite information centre and Te Papa Museum. and have a cafe on site if you arrive early. We'll set you up on your bike with a helmet and provide you with full instruction on how to use your eBike (it's easy!). We've got a large car-free space to get used to riding before we set off.
Our store is based on the Wellington Waterfront. From close to our store you can see the inter-island and local ferries coming and going and you might be lucky enough to spot stingrays, seals and even the occasional dolphin! The Wellington Waterfront hosts many events and markets through out the year and is a happening place when the sun is out!
Your first tour stop is an essential and fascinating story about the first inhabitants of New Zealand, from nearly one thousand years ago. Learn about Wellington/New Zealand Māori culture and history as you go throughout this tour.
Hold its hand and pose with this iconic and poetic statue on the waterfront as your guide tells you about the legendary and awesome wind of Wellington! Don't forget to get a picture with the eye-catching Wellington sign while you're here as well!
We'll stop outside Te Papa as it's a central landmark of Wellington on the waterfront. It's New Zealand's national museum and we'll tell you about the current exhibitions. It's just a short walk from our shop if you want to look through at the end of your bike tour.
We'll ride past on the cycle path beside the beach. We'll stop for photos and see how popular this beach spot is on a sunny day!
It's time for a rest break as take we take in Wellington's iconic wind needle. Watch as this 85 foot wind sculpture sways to the wind and learn about NZ's innovative energy system.
For the best photos over-looking Wellington and the surrounding bays we put the bikes on 'turbo' and head up to the top of Miramar Peninsula. From the top you'll have enough time for photos and we'll tell you a Māori tale of how Wellington Harbour was formed.
We'll be riding along the coast at the base of Mt Victoria for much of the tour. There are plenty of photo opportunities with Mt Victoria forming the backdrop of your shot.
At the end of your tour, we encourage you to stay in the capital city and explore more of what Wellington has to offer. Consider bringing what you need to enjoy the rest of your day in the capital city. If you prefer to go straight back to the ship, our guides will ride with you back to the original collection point.
Our tour guides Tara and Dylan were awesome. Tara told so many great stories and taught us so much about the culture and conservation efforts of the area. And the bikes we road were top quality. Great ride and it ended with a stop for ice cream. Perfect!!! We rode a total of ~15 miles.
Jack and Ryan were excellent guides through Wellington! Jack was knowledgeable and entertaining as he led us up to a lovely overlook and thru the Prison Gardens. The bikes were great, and both he and Ryan were sure that we were safe and having a good time. The gelato was amazing! I would highly recommend!

We spent almost 3 hours with 2 other couples from our cruise with Patrick, our seasoned guide. He showed us all the sights along the bay & took us up to a high overlook of the City and provided interesting information about the city and made we were safe and understood how the well kept bikes worked best.. Highly recommend Patrick & this company! Great value & fun!
How about this...you want to move your body, see the sights, meet a nice guide (Patrick!) and also some like-minded adventurers, in a beautiful city - then yes, this trip is a five star plus trip. The e-bikes are of high quality, the track is easy to ride, and the views are stunning. And it includes a gelato stop. What more could you ask for? This 65+ lady enjoyed it immensely.
What a great way to see Wellington which we did on E-bikes our guide Patrick was extremely knowledgeable and very safety conscious which we really appreciated. We got to many of the city’s highlights including a vista which gave us a bird’s eye view of the city and port. I would certainly enjoy doing this tour again. The bikes were of excellent quality.
Amazing experience. Had a lift from the cruise ship into town. Christian was a knowledgeable and patient guide. The ride up the hill was easy with the turbo setting on the bike. Enjoyed a lovely drink at the cafe to finish it off. Will definitely do it again!

Amazing e bike ride. Around the huge harbor hugging the shore. Then up into the large hills overlooking the harbor. About 24 to 30km round trip. E bikes make it easy

Highly Recommend! We enjoyed this windy tour with our guides Tara and Dillon. The electric-assist bikes made the tour effortless. Tara and Dillon provided just the right amount of history and perspective. This is a great way to see the Wellington waterfront.
The bikes were top quality. The two guides, Tara and Dylan, did an excellent job. Tara was very knowledgeable. It was a very windy day and returning from the ride into the wind was quite difficult. I believe our guides kept us safe in what could have been a dangerous condition. The sites were beautiful. Would highly recommend this excursion.

Tara was a wonderful guide and the bikes were in great condition. We were lucky that there wasn’t a lot of wind that day and the weather was great. She took us around the coast and shared stories and lots of info on Wellington. I had never ridden on an e-bike, and after some warmup in the parking lot, I felt very comfortable on the bike. The e-bike came in handy when we climbed a mountain to get an awesome view of Wellington harbor. Tour included a yummy gelato at the end.

We had a beautiful day in Wellington with our awesome guide, Jack. Jack took us on a leisurely ride through the city and along the waterfront and harbor of Wellington. It was a beautiful sunny day, and Wellington and the harbor glistened in the sunshine. While it was mostly flat, there was a VERY steep and long hill at one point that took us up to a magnificent viewing area that was truly breathtaking. The e-bikes are of very high quality and made the steep climb a breeze. Overall a fantastic way to see Wellington and a great way to get some fresh air and exercise. Highly recommended for cruise passengers.

It's exciting and enjoyable, not too strenuous for older people. Entertaining and beautiful sceneries. The best part was great storytelling by our guide Jack, who is very knowledgeable and obviously enjoys what he does. Six stars for Jack!
This is mostly a shoreline paddle trip with some commentary. Birds and more birds and sub tropical forests. Guides were excellent in terms of safety and organization. Kayak and paddling gear was top notch. There were no planned stops for over 3 hrs so an empty bladder was necessary. I have no doubt that in a toilet emergency, we would have found a spot to stop. No water provided, either, but we brought one of our own bottles. If you like your views from water level, you ‘ll enjoy this outting.

My husband and I really enjoyed our electric bike tour of Wellington. The bikes were easy and very fun to ride. I was little worried about riding for 3+ hours but we took plenty of stops to see the sites and learn about the area. I can't believe how far we rode - the electric bikes make it easy! Our guide was knowledge, fun, and friendly. I highly recommend!
We weren’t really too sure what to expect having never used an E-Bike before but they were so easy. Our brilliant tour guide Dylan gave us a brief overview of how the bikes worked and we were on our way. We were lucky to have exceptional weather for the tour as we cruised around the coast of Welly taking in the beautiful sights with regular stops from Dylan giving us all the info we needed in an entertaining and knowledgeable fashion. The famous Welly wind didn’t slow us down either as we just upped the bike power! We also managed to see some dolphins and had a plane fly close above us. We’d highly recommended this tour for an alternative view of Wellington away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Now considering buying an E-Bike when we get home!
Great e-bike cycling tour around Wellington harbor and surrounding hills. Excellent experience getting fitted for the bike and helmet. New and high-quality e-bikes. Excellent, entertaining guides - Denny was main guide and Dylan was supporting him that day. The tour even included a stop for ice cream and coffee. Highly recommend!
Jack and Elizabeth were great hosts. They made a point of talking to everyone and there were about 21 of us. We rode along the wharf and along the street to Oriental Bay and ultimately a park with views of the ocean on two sides and, of course, Wellington. On the way back, Jack treated us to Gelato. We rode about 20 km and the bikes performed well, especially the ride up the short hill to the lookout. The ride lasted about 3.25 hours which was just right.
Amazing day with a great guides that took us around Wellington. E bikes were just so easy to ride. Would recommend this to anybody with a family.

Our guide was Dylan, he did a good job on the pre-ride brief, bikes all in good working order.. The tour was long enough to take in sights along the shoreline the majority of which you would not see on a city tour. There were plenty of personal touches too, making for a very enjoyable casual ride.

A nice leisurely bike tour around the bay in Wellington. The electric bikes were powerful enough to not have to work too hard peddling even uphill and against the headwinds. I would recommend this tour as it's a wonderful and informative way to view this area. A little excerise while viewing the sites is a great way to stay energized on your trip.
2 of us, both 65+, joined a family of 4 for a fun, despite the cold, wind and rain, 2 1/2 ride along the waterfront and then you ride up to the top of a hill that overlooks the harbor. Great city info as we road. Stop at the end for a coffee or drink. You still have to peddle so you need to be able to ride a bike and be willing to go uphill (but going down a blast)
Switched on bikes is mellow, flexible, good bikes, and centrally located. Dillon the guide provided wonderful stories and points of interest. Isabel the other guide added interesting details, much kindness, and brought up the rear with extra gloves etc! Highly recommend, Debby and John
Great way to see Wellington. We had a wonderful time and our 15 year old daughter really enjoyed it too. The guide was entertaining and mindful of the different skill levels. The bikes were in excellent condition and the electric boost made easy work of the hill that gave us a wonderful panorama.

Fun experience from start to finish. We rode all along the coast and up into the mountains to get spectacular views of the harbor. Using an electric bike definitely made the ride easy and enjoyable. Our guide was great( very informative and pointed out sights we would have never seen if we had just explored on foot.
