It was good. The weather was a bit crazy very very windy. I enjoyed it saying the different parts of New Zealand is a good cruise very windy and very bumpy. The driver is very good too. Make it not so bad.

Itinerary
As this tour is on a fully electric passenger ferry, we do not need to compete with engine noise, meaning we're able to travel at a leisurely pace and you can hear our guides easily throughout the whole journey. Easily manoeuvre around the vessel, enjoying the open top deck or enclosed bottom cabin (commentary can be heard both upstairs and downstairs).

Highly recommend. Super lovely & funny crew. Clear communication. It was the right about of time on the boat.
The day was great, it was a lovely trip and I learnt heaps..
Fantastic experience with the "Gin tasting with a twist" - the new table set up on the ferry lends itself well to such a social occasion, with booth seating and really comfortable seats. The head distiller was a real character, and all aboard were engaged and entertained, enjoying the gins and also the beautiful nibbles provided with the tasting platters. The crew aboard Ika Rere made the voyage faultless, and you can tell they are seasoned and safe operators that take pride in their vessel and providing the best experience for their guests. Looking forward to the next one!
Lovely and friendly crew. Awesome views. Relaxing and fun tome. Something different. Really lovely time
Comfortable enjoyable cruise ride. Good informative great crew and music Beautiful views and history about Wellington Saw a seal and lucky we got a nice day except the wind .. I recommend it !!
It was great, a beautiful harbour..
An enjoyable harbour cruise with a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. I was travelling with my 83-year-old mother, and the staff were very helpful to her. Highly recommended.
Very good experience and well behaved crew members, well recommended for people who are visiting ,the way the explained everything patiently was amazing and how they asked if we had any doubts or questions
The harbour cruise was a relaxing and lovely way to orient ourselves to the city and its surrounds. The commentary was informative, and punctuated the cruise at apt intervals, the crew members were friendly, making an effort to engage with the passengers. Being able to travel on the upper deck or in the warmer, enclosed cabin gave good options, especially when sighting the local wildlife. Highly recommended!
The service provided, the commentary, the historical aspect of the bird sanctuary the whole experience was something that I willingly promote. Scenery is fantastic. Well done to all involved.
Great way to see more of Wellington. Great commentary and knowledge.
Great ride, very nice boat, and very informative. Athough the weather was drizzly and windy, we enjoyed our activity very much!
Remember to wear a hat jacket; it’s windy if you are up top. Nice views of city and informative. Enjoyed the ride.
Fantastic experience. Beautiful day with great scenery, smooth ride and an excellent young lady as guide talking about Maritime history
We needed something to do for our last day in Wellington with weather changing badly. This turned out to be the perfect to ur. The skipper and the crew were fantastic. Knowledgeable and great friendly team.
We thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday afternoon cruise around the harbour. Always fun seeing a harbour city from the water. The fully electric ferry is wonderfully quiet, making it easy to hear the commentary.
We were lucky to have a sunny, low-wind day. Hearing about the history of the harbor, how the earthquakes changed and reshaped the city was fascinating. The scenery was beautiful. But don’t forget sunscreen, even for late afternoon!
Really good commentary. Grey inside space if weather is challenging. Friendly crew., who helped me to manage y mobility issues, helping me to feel safe.
Really informative cruise about the history of Wellington and the harbour. Would highly recommend, great crew
Tour operator is very friendly and have knowledge about the tour. Sailing timing 90 mins is just right and sail safely.
We stayed in Wellington for four days in late January. We had looked online for a harbor cruise but had a hard time finding one. As we were walking along the Queen's Warf, we saw a group of happy people disembarking from the Ika Rere, and decided to book the next day. This was an excellent tour and we learned a lot about the area - very educational! But any day out on a boat is a good day and despite some wind (what a surprise!) and some sprinkles, we had a wonderful time and highly recommend this as a trip in Welly! Craig and T
Lovely crossing to Matiu / somes island, helped by the fact the weather was glorious. Nice to have the option to get off at Days Bay on the way back Staff friendly and helpful Seating not comfortable but crossing short so it didn’t matter We were VERY fortunate and saw dolphins on our way back 👌
We had booked to go on the electric ferry but sadly it was out of service. We would have rated the cruise 5 stars if it had been available, as per our booking. The cruise was interesting and the commentary comprehensively. The staff were friendly and professional and the Wellington Harbour is beautiful.
Lovely trip round the harbour. Very informative commentary, friendly crew. The boat was clean and hooray - no stinky engines.
We did the harbour cruise. It was so good. It was better than we thought it was going to be. We had Jack as our commentator. He was really good.
In spite of ( not too bad) weather, the tour was very pleasent. In a way complementary to the ground tour.
How exciting to tour Wellington Harbour on an electric boat, allowing you to hear the knowledgable commentary while supporting the environment. It was lovely and relaxing way to explore the enormous working harbour, seeing all the bays that are home to the people of Wellington. The boat has and open and exposed viewing deck and an inside deck with large viewing windows and a cafe. We explored between the decks, having some food and drinks to make the journey more relaxing. In small groups (2) you are allowed to visit the bridge and have a slightly different view. The staff were very helpful. A must do while you are visiting Wellington.
Very informative, really clear commentary. The use of an electric boat added to the experience. Helpful and friendly staff. Lovely weather probably helped too!
Loved it! All the history and information about the area that you could want. Neatly presented. And what can I say about the crew… So friendly so welcoming… Answered any and all questions and even asked us if we wanted to come up to the bridge for a peek. Highly recommended.
A very enjoyable cruise. The crew were very informative and friendly and the boat is very impressive. The boat pulled in very close to the shore at one point where we were lucky enough to see some dolphins. A great way to see the huge harbour and learn about it's history.
Caught ferry to Days Bay and bus back to Cuba Mall. Tina and Darcy were great, thoroughly enjoyed the choppy ride. Highly recommend this trip.
