Martinborough Winery Private Tour

Easy to arrange. Pick up easy and the whole experience was great Gary our guide/driver was brilliant. Very informative, informative and personable style. Made you feel like you were family🤣

We booked a Martinborough private wine tour through Zozo Travel and had an exceptional experience from start to finish. The entire day was beautifully coordinated—relaxed yet efficient, with just the right amount of time at each stop. Phil, our guide, was outstanding. His selection of wineries was spot on, each offering something unique and memorable. Phil was engaging and clearly had deep local knowledge and passion for the region.

A fabulous day 10-3.30. We visited an amazing cheese shop (c’est cheese) and spoke to the owner Paul who is so passionate about the cheese he makes and the other NZ artisan cheese that he stocks. Moy Hall Winery was amazing and a knowledgeable tasting of 5 of their wines. We also chose to have some lunch there which was amazing. The guide who was lovely also then gave us the choice of going to another vineyard or a chocolate tasting we opted for another vineyard and she chose a fabulous place called Palisers, fabulous organic wines. A highly knowledgeable guide who knew her history of NZ, she was well travelled having originated from Greece. I would highly recommend this tour A big thank you from Liz and Sue

Such a great trip, Phil was a great host and was a great guide with a wealth of information. The wineries we visited and where we had lunch was fantastic, was so worth the money!

Simon was excellent. He was waiting for us, had excellent knowledge of Wellington and Martinborough. He knows the culture of the Māori and the nation. He lives in Wellington so when one winery was crowded, he took us to another. Great lunch recommendation and a lovely day!

What a great experience this trip is as the tour host Simon is 1st class and very knowledgeable plus the wine tastings and lunch are both very enjoyable. One of the best Viator tours we have done.

Scott, our driver was very informative. He brought us to three different wineries. Our favorite was poppies. We had a great lunch there. And the three little boutique wineries have great tasting and refreshing wines. Martinborough is a very cute little town.

We visited some small boutique wineries and had a wonderful lunch! Our driver, Kelvin, was friendly and personable. We enjoyed every minute.

Kelvin was our tour guide and he did a great job. Lots of information on the area and it’s history. The wineries that we visited were welcoming and had wonderful wines. Highly recommend!

John our tour guide was excellent , very kind and caring . The wine tour itself was limited The first winery was ok with 5 tastings , would have been nicer with additional cheese added to compliment the wine The second winery .. lunch ( optional ) was good but the guys doing the wine tasting was not interested in what ge was doing , he was just pouring the wine into the glasses and off The last winery .. the owner wasn’t one bit interested , it felt like he didn’t want us there All wine in each winery were not great .. unfortunately

We had the best day. We are only in Wellington for 3 nights from Australia so decided that we wanted to see some countryside and not just the city. We were not disappointed. Our driver, Steve, was fantastic and very informative. We visited 3 amazing wineries and had a quick lunch at a brewery. We thoroughly enjoyed it. A very reliable company to book through.

We had an amazing day!! Everything went smoothly (including John’s driving), and the wineries were just gorgeous. Our Driver John gave us lots of warning when it was time to move to the next place, kept us informed, he ensured everyone was safe and no man was left behind! Thank you from the whole team!! We will definitely be recommending Zozo travel to friends, family and other businesses for functions.

Phil was great - knowledgeable, engaging, and really helpful. The trip included three contrasting wineries which added to the enjoyment. We purchased some very nice wines which we couldn’t get elsewhere, and would highly recommend Zozo travel.

We had such a fun wine tour! Tom was incredible! The wines were out of this world. VIP experience in a private car with just us! Highly recommend! Learned so much.

Wonderful private tour with Mel our driver. She handled everything, got us to all our stops and an extra one since we were doing great on time. The boutique wineries were top notch. Definitely take this tour if you have the time.

Our driver/tour guide Sue was very knowledgeable and was great at answering all our questions. We enjoyed some very good wines and loved experiencing the beautiful scenery on the way there and back.

Philip put together a terrific tour for us. The three wineries we visited each had a different atmosphere, which was fun, and all had very good wines. The photo stops along the way from Wellington were gorgeous, and the cheese stop was very tasty. Philip knows a lot about the Martinborough region and was very receptive to our questions both ahead of (via email) and during the tour. He looked after us very well. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed an outstanding winery tour with Philip, our friendly, knowledgeable guide. We appreciated that he picked us up at our hotel in Wellington and offered an informative, engaging experience. He even accommodated our request to visit Palliser Estate Winery, a fantastic producer in Martinborough. He was very well-received by all the places we visited, including a great cheese shop and deli (C'est Cheese), which underscores his reputation as a private tour operator. As a bonus, our tour was a lot more affordable than some competing companies. All in all, we would highly recommend Zozo to anyone wanting a taste of Martinborough. Thanks again, Philip!
