Half Day Tour Of Wellington

Absolutely awesome tour and a must do if visiting Wellington with little time to explore. Stan our guide was just brilliant, loved his knowledge. As the day was sunny and clear he took us to a few extra places for viewing the sights. Highly recommend this tour.

As only my partner and I had booked that particular time, Richard, our guide gave us a tour in his car. He was more than happy to accommodate our requests and as a lifetime resident was extremely knowledgeable. We had a wonderful time. We covered a large part of the city, including the outer areas. Great value.

This half-day tour was excellent! The itinerary was perfectly paced, packing in incredible sights without ever feeling rushed. Our guide, Marv, went above and beyond by taking us to extra attractions and even treating us to the best meat pie in town. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and provided local insights you simply can't find in a guidebook. Transportation was smooth, comfortable, and right on schedule. 10/10!

Merv was a wonderful local guide, feeding us the best Steak and Cheese Pie from Puku, coffee from Roxy Theatre and giving us information across all sites we visited in Wellington, highly recommend this

Marty is a super guide ! It was our first time in Wellington and we don’t drive here so thanks to Marty we were able to discover Wellington and its highlights in 3 hours. Even if our kids do not speak English (but French) , Marty was so patient and cool with all of us. Book this tour and ask Marty as your guide. You will spend a good time 💯

It was a very informative tour. Well worth taking. For our first trip to Wellington we saw quite a few highlights . Our guide Wayne was fun and friendly and had a lot of information for us.

This was a great introductory tour of Wellington. Marty, our guide, was great, friendly and flexible to what we wanted to do (as we were a very small group). We appreciated the colour commentary and insights of the city. If you are visiting Wellington for the first time, I highly recommend this tour and Marty.

Fantastic 1/2 day tour. Marty our tour guide was excellent and ensured a fabulous experience. He was very knowledgeable and knows all sorts of interesting facts about each place we visited. He even managed to fit in a much needed coffee stop at our request. From the moment I booked the communication and support with pick up and drop off points were excellent. We loved everything about this tour and feel we got a great feel for the city and what it has to offer. We’d definitely recommend this tour.

Excellent way to see the major sites in Wellington and gives a good feel for the city. Guide was informative and knowledgeable.

The timings changed from our original booking which caused some confusion with people turning up at different times. Our guide (Steve) was great and provided a good tour. Lots of opportunities to get out and take photos.

Guide was great and really informative. Was worth it.

The tour did exactly what it said on the tin, covering all the stated areas and objectives. However I personally felt a little awkward being cooped up in a mini bus for such lengths. This is obviously not a criticism of the tour guide, Lloyd, who was very knowledgeable and passionate about his city’s history.

Our driver and guide Brian was tremendous. First and foremost he was a very safety conscience driver. He was very knowledgeable of the sights we visuals added delightful commentary that kept all the passengers entertained. If I could give 10 stsrs, I would. Viator is exceptional. Their tours are priced reasonably and very enjoyable. We always use them when we travel abroad.

There were several of your vans at the pick up site. Our tour guide told us to go to the van and get in. A few minutes later a tour guide named Merv stuck his head in the door and yelled “ what are you doing in my van?” We told him what your we were on and were rudely informed we were in the wrong van. When my husband called him out for being rude he replied “ I’m not rude I’m a New Zealander “. He then tried to be overly nice but the damage was done. If we hadn’t paid so much for the tour I would have walked back to the ship. So much for “ hospitality “ service!!! Later on our tour John kept trying to talk everyone into being dropped off downtown and not going back to the ship. We had no desire to walk around downtown and arrange our own transportation to the ship. We finally had to insist that we be taken back to the ship Overall it could have been a much better experience than what it was

We got a comprehensive tour of Wellington. We stopped at Mount Victoria, the peninsula, Weta Cave, Lady Norwood Rose Gardens, Old St. Paul’s, the Parliament buildings, and we rode the Cable Car. We also drove along the scenic Oriental Bay. Our guide, Wayne, was personable, on time, and accommodating.

Dean was our tour guide. He was so knowledgeable about the area. We were awe struck by some of the harbour sites. We saw out of the way and quirky places.

An excellent informative trip with so much packed into the half day. We got to see the highlights of Wellington with time to stop, have a look around and take photos. Good value for money. Our tour guide, Brian, was very informative with lots of knowledge about the city and its landmarks. We were allowed plenty of time when visiting the attractions and view points and never felt rushed.

Our most excellent guide Connie, led us on a very informative tour of the city. She covered sports, history, the arts, etc… and readily handled all questions covering everything her passengers were interested in. Excellent value !

Unfortunately, it poured rain the entire trip, but we were still able to see everything except what we were told would have been beautiful views. Our guide was fabulous and understood our mobility needs.
