U Residence Hotel

Great location for conference at Takina. Room was tidy and pretty roomy for 3 adults. The bathroom however needs some attention. The extractor fan didn’t work, was mouldy and caused mould on the roof. Because the extractor fan didn’t work the bathroom was very hot. Overall a great place to stay, just some maintenance required

Comfortable room. Bizarrely, it was impossible to use the stove without also having the dishwasher running at the same time as they operate off the same switch. As a result, we did less cooking than we wanted to as running an empty dishwasher seemed very wasteful. Thanks for putting the heat pump on before we arrived. We didn't realise it was on though, and so it was left running all night (might pay to mention it in the little welcome note). Great location. Happy overall.

A lot of dated and faulty equipment. Washer/dryer almost ruined my clothes. And dryer didn't work. Not soundproof...? Managers kids running around and banging all evening. Outside access door was broken for 5 + days with a wooden makeshift door that constantly wouldn't open. Dangerous and a fire hazard. I complained AM and PM and still not fixed. Paying alot of money to stay for work commitments and stayed for 4 wks off and on.

The room we had was adequate and they allow for dogs so well impressed with that. It's a good location but don't bring a car as parking options are costly. The sliding glass door needed servicing it screached very loudly and difficult to open. The soap dispenser in shower was broken and it's contents curdled and the water pressure poor. The room when first walking In had a rather foul smell of BO. On arrival the Manager was Rude and also on departure extremely rude and discurtious. I shan't be using these people again..
