Room was quiet and comfortable. Internal room so no view. Amenities: had a coffee plunger and a kettle, for good morning options, mini fridge and surprisingly, a laundry machine in bathroom! Also lovely quality shampoo, conditioner etc supplied.

An absolute MUST STAY. Husband and I came down with my bestie and her hubby for my birthday. We got a FREE upgrade to the PENTHOUSE.! Now, did this happen because business was slow? Most likely. But hey, this wasn’t even on our radar when we told them it was my birthday. What kind hearted staff + management to gift us this incredible (and let’s be honest) once in a lifetime stay. Please come stay here. Not because you’re hoping for a free upgrade, but to support a truly well intentioned business. Thankyou Tryp Wellington, you’ve made my year.

TRYP hotel is fantastic. The staff are friendly, welcoming and very accommodating. The location is perfect, central and close to safe undercover car parks. Comfy beds and rooms are lovely and clean. I have stayed in a room and the penthouse which is beautiful. We will be back thanks for making our stay so special.

The hotel was perfectly located for when I attended a conference at Tākina. Easy walking distance, everything you need in a hotel whilst attending a conference all day. It's not a luxurious hotel but it is well appointed and very comfortable. If you are wanting a full service hotel with bar, restaurant etc etc then this is not for you. The room was a good size, bed was comfortable, small kitchenette with a stove top, dishwasher and plenty of plates and utensils if one was inclined to prep a simple meal. There was also a washing machine and dryer in the bathroom. Room was serviced daily. Complimentary tea, coffee, fruit etc in the lobby and a comfortable high table to catch up on some emails whilst watching the world pass by. Staff were friendly and attentive. I would certainly stay again.
