Don't bother coming to this place. It is extremely run down and tired looking, noisy (old pipes banging all night long and single glazing on the windows means every noise outside is heard loud and clear). Curtains ripped, carpet dirty, dirty blanket. Not very clean. I moved one of the beds to find rubbish underneath. We got back one night at about 10.30pm to find that our swipe key didn't work so couldn't get into our room. I tried all the numbers I could find on the internet, went to reception (unmanned at this time) to find absolutely no emergency number at reception. Luckily someone who lives there walked in and helped me out by directing me to a key pad outside that put me through to the poor guy who was obviously on standby. He kindly made up a room for us to wait in in the meantime. Why do they not have emergency details inside in an obvious , visible place! We finally got into our room at 2am after the locksmith came in to try and fix the door. The only reason I am giving this 3 star and not 2 star is because of the great service of the Receptionist who was extremely helpful and did everything he could for us in a bad situation. He has organized a refund for us. Never again will we stay at a Quest hotel. Good location, just a shame they've let it go downhill so much.

Great central location. Elevator is scary plus you can hear it in the bedroom coming up and down. Fans should be on offer as a form of AC. Outdated furniture that came with a squeak. TV has no way of connecting to devices. For some reason there was no hand soap on. However the staff are easy to deal with and friendly
The location is fabulous and the exterior of the hotel is gorgeous. Although I believe they were trying to go with an art deco style in the room I was in, there was a mix of contemporary, mid century, art deco & more which meant none of it tied together. The bathroom was nearly the same size as the room. It was an odd shape & the fridge was hidden behind a cupboard but all the facilities needed were there.
It is a perfectly adequate inner city hotel with a quirky Art Deco theme. If you like character hotels this works - others may just see it as a room filled with second hand furniture. It's clean and functional and needs some minor TLC in the rooms, common areas are fine. We stayed here because of the location and the price and I feel we got value for money. The front desk service was warm and efficient. There is a 1 or 2 car loading zone right by the door so you can check in and then move your car to the parking garage nearby. Location wise you are right in the middle of town. You might get a peek of the Harbour area through the buildings, you probably wouldn't book here for the view. We visit Wellington for a mix of business, leisure and catching up with family so we don't spend much time in our hotel rooms so we would stay here again because of the location and price. We have stayed in worse in Wellington and paid more. See you there !
Great location. Decor a bit dated and passed it's best but it has an pleasant old world charm which we enjoyed. Staff brilliant and nothing too much trouble. Good sized room. Recommended.
