Overall, Mövenpick Wellington is a very comfortable hotel with a relaxing atmosphere. The room was comfortable, and the bed was particularly spacious and comfortable. However, there were a few things that affected the overall experience. The air conditioning was quite noisy, and it was difficult to adjust the fan speed properly. The fridge was also constantly running, which added even more background noise during the night. Luckily, the bed was big enough for me to hide myself under the duvet and escape from the noise! 😂 The soundproofing was another weakness. I could clearly hear noise from the neighbouring room, so if you are a light sleeper, this is something to keep in mind. As an Accor regular guest, I was also quite disappointed with the welcome surprise. I wouldn't expect anything extravagant, but this one felt very limited and, to be honest, quite ordinary. It didn't really feel like a special Accor member experience. Dinner was probably the biggest disappointment. I ordered the lamb cutlets as my main course, but there were only three pieces of meat served with some beans. The portion was simply not enough for me, so I ended up ordering a side of fries just to feel a little more satisfied. Considering the price, I didn't feel it offered particularly good value for money. I had a similar feeling about breakfast. It was perfectly fine, but nothing particularly impressive, especially considering the hotel's positioning and price. That said, the staff were consistently polite and friendly throughout my stay. The service from the staff was definitely a positive and deserves credit. Overall, Mövenpick Wellington is a hotel that feels comfortable, but there are several areas that could be improved. The room and bed were great, but the noise from the air conditioning and fridge, poor soundproofing, food value, and limited Accor member recognition were definite drawbacks during my stay.

Lovely hotel in a great spot! Short walk to Cuba St for dinner, really cosy seating areas, staff were lovely and professional. Only con is when ordering one of the 24/7 available Ice Cream Sundae's online, it either didn't process correctly or the notification didn't get checked so did call down. Once received - it was delicious!
I enjoyed my stay here with my husband - we stayed one night ( 28/06/26) and everything was good! The receptionists that greeted me - The hotel night manager - so sorry I forgot everyone's names; they were so lovely! The younger guy offered to take our suitcase, and the older night shift manager, made checking in smooth. Rooms were clean, spacious enough for a couple, and the city view was great! It is true the bathroom doors allows you to see into, not only through the glass door but through the side of the door as well which is not covered, but shouldn't matter if you're a couple... I had requested a quiet room after I saw reviews about the noise and although there was no email to confirm this request, we did get a soundproof quiet room. The buffet was really good, yummy food AND juices like immunity shots. Also, healthy selection of teas, which made up for the fact we pay extra for coffee machine. Gym was cool and pool was cold - but if I had requested the usage of pool I know it would've been heated. Everyone we saw around the place was lovely, including the lovely girl and guy who checked us out. They initiated and carried a friendly and short chat which made us feel good. Overall, great experience, would stay here again :)
I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Mövenpick Wellington. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming, making me feel valued throughout my visit. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, with stylish, modern rooms that are exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. The location is fantastic, offering easy access to Wellington’s attractions, restaurants, and shopping areas while still providing a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The facilities were excellent, and every detail seemed thoughtfully designed to enhance the guest experience. A special highlight was the outstanding food and hospitality. The dining experience exceeded expectations, with delicious meals, excellent service, and the signature Mövenpick touches that made the stay feel extra special. Overall, Mövenpick Wellington delivers a perfect combination of luxury, comfort, and exceptional customer service. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Wellington and would happily stay here again. Five stars!
Fantastic stay at mövenpick Wellington! Our room was located on the 9th floor with great views out over the city, comfortable bed, clean and quiet! Chocolate hour was a real treat as was the included buffet breakfast with our room, the best buffet we've had perfect poached and scrambled eggs! Although we did not use the recreational facilities we went and checked them out. The pool looked clean and inviting and was heated. Gym equipment was all new looking and circuits were up on the wall. Thanks for a fab stay team!
