Electrical hazard, repeated room changes, and ignored complaints Extremely disappointing stay. What was supposed to be a relaxing getaway turned into a stressful experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, the television in my first room was not working, so I had to change rooms. Unfortunately, the TV in the second room was also faulty, with Netflix, YouTube and screen sharing all unavailable, despite these amenities being advertised. The following morning, the hairdryer caused sparks to come out of the electrical outlet, followed by smoke and a strong burning smell. This was genuinely frightening and left me in tears. While staff eventually intervened, I was shocked to discover that maintenance had entered my room while I was absent and without my consent. To make matters worse, neither the second nor the third room contained basic toiletries such as shampoo or shower gel. Having to repeatedly return to reception to request essential items is simply unacceptable. Over a stay of just three days, I was required to change rooms three times. I spent far too much of my holiday dealing with problems instead of enjoying my stay. I would like to acknowledge the reception manager, who was kind, professional and genuinely apologetic throughout. However, good customer service alone cannot compensate for serious safety concerns, repeated inconveniences and facilities that did not match what was advertised. What is even more disappointing is the way my complaint was handled after my stay. My initial email requesting compensation was simply ignored, and I had to send several follow-up emails before finally receiving a response. Despite the numerous issues encountered, including a serious electrical safety incident, the hotel refused to offer any compensation or gesture of goodwill, claiming that the issues had been resolved during my stay. Being forced to change rooms multiple times and constantly deal with problems should not be considered an acceptable resolution. Very disappointing experience overall and certainly not the standard I expected. I would not stay here again and would not recommend this hotel.

Looks to be mixed reviews, depends on the exact room you get. I had a inner room with no window and found it to be great value. lots of space, quiet and comfortable. for $60AUD a night you cant complain. only issue was getting the info on the after midnight checkin. e mailed them as required 3 times with no reply, finally called them. good value, and comfortable stay.
It was just me staying and it was everything I expected. Clean comfy, excellent location, plenty of parking, easy check in and out. Excellent value for money. I could have paid less for a small room which was also excellent value for money but it didn’t have a window and I would have found it a little odd. The views from my room were beautiful
I stayed at this hotel for two nights, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The room had a few issues from the start. The bathroom sink was clogged when I arrived, which was unpleasant and gave a poor first impression. There was also no proper closet or storage space for clothes, which made the stay less comfortable. However, the main problem was the air conditioning (heat pump). When set to heating mode, it made loud cracking noises throughout the night. I reported this to reception after the first night, and while they said someone had looked into it, nothing changed. The noise continued the second night, making it very difficult to sleep. When I raised the issue again, I was given an unsatisfactory response—that they had done what they could and weren’t AC specialists. It felt like the responsibility was being brushed aside rather than properly addressed, which was frustrating. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. For a similar price, there are likely much better options available. I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
First of all, This is not a 4-Stars hotel. With the facilities and services provided, I do not understand how the hotel got its 4-stars rating. This is more a buget style hotel, 3ish stars hotel. It is worthy for given price, but 4 Stars hotel seems misleading to me. The location of the hotel is alright, walkable distance to Cuba street, Seaside and CBD. Hotel offer changing room cleaning every 3 nights. Some rooms have either small window or no window at all. Bathroom only offer body/hair shower gel and Toliet paper and nothing else One very important thing, the hotel have no wardrobe, they have no space to store stuff, so they rises the bed so far high from the ground so you can put stuff under the bed, which made the bed unreasonably high from the ground. If you are a short person, elderly or have trouble getting around, or even just a young kid, the bed height can be a nightmare and getting up and down from the bed can be a difficult thing. The Bed wooden frame is sitting on keen's height and the top of the bed is almost at waist's height. It is kind of a falling hazard if you are not a still sleeper. Apart from that, it is a pretty reasonable hotel. if you want a budget hotel, Want somewhere to stay but do not want to go to hostel or backpacker inn, this is a good place to go, once again, the bed is high, the bed is high, the bed is high, it is important so i say it 3 times. Parking in hotel is available but 35 dollars a day, you might better off park at long term parking by city council. 3 dollar per hours for council car park x 12 hours = 36 dollars but give you freedom to move around and park elsewhere. council meter car park stop charging after 8 PM but you will have to fight for a spot and the Vivian street is on SH1 so pretty busy street.
