Washington Dc Small-group Evening City Tour

First off, we were met by our tour guide Eddie at a local restaurant. This was very convenient for our group instead of making us UBER to a pickup spot of his choosing. His van was comfortable,clean and he supplied us with much needed umbrellas, water and snacks. Eddie was very knowledgable about the DC area where he was raised and attended school. He drove us to the Marine Corps, Pentagon, Jefferson, Korean, Vietnam, and Lincoln Memorials. At all these memorials, he allowed us time to get out to visit each site and take photos. He also gave us a detailed history of each memorial and its significance. Seeing the lighted memorials in DC at night is a must for any visitor and despite the chilly and rainy weather on our trip in October 2026, we were so happy we had Eddie take us on the tour. At the end of the tour, he dropped us off at our Air BNB. I highly recommend using ELD touring with visiting DC.

Seeing the memorials and monuments at night is a wonderful experience. Eddie has a wealth of knowledge on each one and DC in general. We started with the Pentagon 9/11 Memorial which was incredible. Seeing it at night heightened the experience and then Eddie telling us all the details made it something very special to see. Visiting the other memorials in the evening was definitely the way to go. While there are people walking around, there is something unique about being there at night. Getting picked up at our hotel and driving to the various sites made this tour so easy to do. Highly recommend Eddie's tour.

Eddie was Exceptional informative very friendly!

Eddie was fantastic! His knowledge of both past and recent history, as well as current events, was truly encyclopedic. Yet he presented everything through a thoughtful, humanistic lens that made the stories come alive. His background as a middle school educator was evident in his ability to engage my 13 and almost 15 year old sons. They were captivated throughout the tour and, completely unprompted, both remarked on how excellent it was. Eddie also suggested the perfect amount of time to spend at each stop. We never felt rushed, yet there was never a dull moment. I cannot recommend Eddie highly enough!

We had an amazing time with Mr Eddie! He texted the day before to confirm pickup and arrived 15 mins early for our tour. He explained our stops and set expectations for our stops. As we drove he gave a history of DC while pointing out places of interest. He drove slow enough that we all had an opportunity to see what was being discussed. Our favorite stop was the Pentagon. He walked with us and gave a detailed account of the days events as well as details about the memorial itself. We could not have been more pleased with the entire experience! We loved the personal touch he provided for our family.

Fantastic!! Eddie was extremely knowledgeable. I had toured DC before but not my husband and son. He did not disappoint. We all saw and learned so much from him. We would do it again and again.

I booked this tour for my granddaughter and myself and it was one of the highlights of our trip to DC. Eddie is friendly and so knowledgeable about everything in DC. It was truly a private tour of the monuments as well as the city. Well worth the price.

Eddie was terrific. His depth of knowledge in American history and the uniqueness of the DC area was fascinating.

In spite of light rain and chill, my son, granddaughter, and I thoroughly enjoyed our Monuments by Moonlight tour. Our guide, Ed, was extraordinarily knowledgeable and courteous. His passion for the city and its history was obvious. I’ve seen the monuments several times before, but seeing them in the evening was a very different experience. As a former history teacher, I appreciated the factual commentary and a few personal stories about living in DC. I highly recommend this tour.

Do not even think about a different nighttime tour of Washington monuments. This was an amazing way for our family to see some of the harder to get to monuments. Eddie was a fabulous guide! So much information. The Pentagon memorial was particularly impactful.

Great tour. Eddie was awesome. Tour included the 911 memorial at the Pentagon. A must see if you’re in DC. Tour started at 7 and sunset after 8 so we didn’t get to see much of the “nighttime” part. Only suggestion would be to start the tour a little later I the summer months.

There is nothing like the night time tour of the monuments especially with an extremely knowledgeable tour guide like Eddie. He was very captivating and maintained our interest the entire three hours,

Eddy was a fabulous tour guide and host. He accommodated a few changes we wanted made and gave us an amazing experience. He was also accommodating for an elderly member of our group and brought a wheelchair for some of the longer walking sections. It exceeded our expectations and we are already talking about coming back and booking with him for a tour in the summer to see everything in warmer weather. We highly recommend him!

Eddie is a fantastic tour guide. He is so unbelievably knowledgeable about the history of DC, as well as the history of the U.S. He is very accommodating, patient, and an all around good person. Our son is having surgery in DC, and this was the one activity we could do before getting admitted to the hospital. So glad we chose Eddie for our tour!

Eddie was a superb guide, having been a high school history teacher in another life. He told us more details about the monuments and Presidents than I may have ever known, and he made it fun. We started with the Pentagon 9/11 memorial, saw the Marine statue in Arlington National Cemetery, then went on to more monuments - Washington, Lincoln, Viet Nam and Korean Wars, drive-bys of the White House, etc., ending with the Jefferson Memorial. I highly recommend this tour!
