Wow! What a great tour! Exceeded my expectations! Ken our tour guide was so knowledgeable. I learned so much about the history of the monuments. Comfortable pace and time. Would highly recommend!

The Thomas Jefferson Memorial, located by the Tidal Basin, features stunning neoclassical architecture inspired by the Pantheon in Rome. Inside, a towering statue of Jefferson stands amidst excerpts from his writings, encapsulating his impact on American democracy. The tranquil surroundings, especially during cherry blossom season, provide a perfect backdrop for contemplation of Jefferson's ideals of liberty and freedom.
Ford's Theatre features a striking red brick façade and ornate columns that reflect 19th-century grandeur. The marquee and bustling street outside create a lively atmosphere for capturing memorable photos.
The White House offers a unique opportunity for stunning exterior photographs of one of the world's most recognizable buildings. The grandeur of its neoclassical architecture, manicured lawns, and vibrant gardens makes it a perfect photo backdrop. Explore various angles from the Ellipse to capture the essence of this historic residence.
The World War II Memorial serves as a powerful tribute to the sacrifices of millions during the conflict. Its 56 pillars symbolize the U.S. states and territories involved in the war, set against the Reflecting Pool and Lincoln Memorial. With cascading fountains and striking mosaics, the memorial invites reflection on the courage and resilience of those who served.
The Marine Corps War Memorial, also known as the Iwo Jima Memorial, honors the bravery of U.S. Marines with its iconic statue depicting the flag-raising during WWII. Surrounded by a peaceful park and inscriptions honoring the fallen, the memorial serves as a solemn reminder of service and sacrifice and shines brightest when illuminated at night.
The Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial honors the legacy of the civil rights leader with a remarkable 30-foot statue emerging from granite. Surrounded by tranquil gardens, the memorial features quotes that resonate with his messages of love and equality, inviting reflection on the ongoing struggle for civil rights and justice.
The Vietnam Veterans Memorial features a polished black granite wall inscribed with over 58,000 names of those lost in the war. Visitors can reflect on the sacrifices made as they connect with the displayed mementos and the adjoining Three Servicemen Statue and Vietnam Women's Memorial, honoring the complexities of the Vietnam experience.
The Lincoln Memorial welcomes visitors with a towering statue of Abraham Lincoln amidst classical architecture. With 36 columns representing the states at his death, this site invites reflection on unity and freedom. The steps, where Dr. King delivered his iconic speech, serve as a powerful reminder of civil rights and the values shaping democracy.
The Korean War Veterans Memorial includes 19 stainless steel statues of soldiers set against a black granite wall that mirrors their presence. Surrounded by juniper bushes, the memorial invites quiet reflection on the service and sacrifices of those who fought in the war, honoring over 36,000 lives lost in the conflict.
The exterior west side of the U.S. Capitol showcases stunning neoclassical architecture and the significant dome that symbolizes American democracy. Surrounded by gardens and the Reflecting Pool, this iconic site is perfect for reflection and photographs, especially at sunset when the structure radiates warmth and beauty.

So informative, great tour guide, saw so many monuments and memorials....a perfect three hours! Up close to see the highlights. Perfect size group (12 people). Very nice van.
Tod was very informative and had fun with us in the process. Great experience and would recommend to others.
This tour is a really enjoyable experience. Our guide (the owner, Kenneth) was knowledgeable, personable, easy to listen to and wisely apolitical.) The van is comfortable (with places to charge your phone), but there is still a considerable amount of walking to & from many of the memorials/monuments, so wear comfortable shoes!
My wife and I searched for the best Monuments & Memorials at night tour, and this was exactly what we wanted. Dustin was a great guide, very knowledgable, and we saw everything we hoped to. We highly recommend it!
This was our favorite part of our visit to Washington DC. The vendor kept us well informed. He communicated with us before the event to confirm time and place. The meeting point was easy to get to and easy to find. He was very accommodating, knew our names and had us ready to go in a comfortable van. I believe there were 10 of us so it was a nice, small group. The tour is long but so worth it and our driver made sure we saw each of the monuments and had time to take pictures, helped navigate us if there was a small walk to the monument and provided great information throughout the tour. Information about the monuments and Washington DC in general. I visited with my 87 year old mother and he was so helpful and kind. He helped her determine the monuments to visit, and the ones to maybe not make the trek. She thoroughly enjoyed the tour and enjoyed our tour guide. If you take no other tour, this is the one to take.
Rich was our tour guide. He did a fantastic job. He was very informative and interesting. Would definitely recommend this tour.
Tour is worth every penny and nighttime had a special vibe, it was a full moon too. Nothing was crowded except for some homecoming’s buses at Lincoln Memorial. Guide was irritated at late passengers which I agree is super rude on a group tour. This made the tour feel rushed because the guide was trying to make up for lost time. It’s a 10 person tour and the same 4 were late. A person did have a mobility issue using a cane, I can sympathize, had a wheelchair myself at one time, so don’t go on a group tour with lots of walking is my advice. It’s in a van but still must be able to walk in the dark.
You will see a lot of sights. Washington DC is beautiful at night. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and funny.
Great way to see DC at night in a short amount of time. My teenagers were even entertained! Dustin was an amazing tour guide. Groups are small giving lots of personal attention for questions. Just enough time at each stop and got to see most of the city in a few hours.
Living in the DC area in the past we know how beautiful the monuments are at night and that the easiest way to see them is on a tour because driving or riding the metro to each of the monuments at night is a lot of work! This was the only one I could find that would make an actual stop at the Marine Corps memorial and that was important being a Marine family! We also know that a 3 hour tour is the minimum time needed to not have to be in a rush the entire time. The van was at the assigned pickup spot and ready to go for our 7pm tour. Ken was a wonderful guide and was a wealth of knowledge. He gave us a link to listen about the monuments as we were exploring them on our own so bring a pair of headphones so you can listen! He also provided water bottles for our entire tour group. It was nice to have a smaller group instead of a larger tour bus because keeping a lot of people on time for each stop is a huge undertaking. Our van was able to maneuver around DC a lot easier than the other larger tour buses and was enclosed to keep us out of the brisk, fall night air. Would definitely recommend this tour if you are visiting DC!
Dustin was a treasure trove knowledge and anecdotes. Talked a little fast.....probably due to all the info he wanted to get to.
Ken , our guide was so friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the small group experience as well . What a memorable tour !
Excellent tour. Loved Dustin our guide. Very nice and informative
Great guide and fun way to see the memorials!
Fabulous tour. Rich was a fantastic guide, really friendly, very knowledgeable. The great weather helped. Highly recommend.
We enjoyed the tour and Dustin was awesome! He was so knowledgeable on all of the sites we visited and told us things we didn’t know about. The tour at night is beautiful seeing all the memorials all lite up , I highly recommend this tour you will love it and ask for Dustin best tour guide we’ve ever had you won’t be disappointed!!!
The best way to see and learn about DC highlights. The night tour gives you a spectacular view of our Capital. Catch the perfect night, clear skies and the city takes on an incredible illuminated view. Dustin our tour guide highlighted the best to see and his knowledge of our history was great.
Very knowledgeable and told funny stories and pointed everything out to us. Very nice pretty at night.
Our guide, Rich, was not only open and friendly, he was also knowledgeable concerning each of the monuments we visited. He has a great sense of humor as well.
This was the highlight of our trip. Our driver and guide Richard was exceptional! He was extremely knowledgeable and funny.
This is a for a smaller more personal group. I would highly recommend Rich. He is very informative and knowledgeable about the history of Washington DC. He was very friendly, answered any questions and very accommodating.
Great “tour” in a smaller group of about 12. The lighting at night adds so much more pizzazz & flair to these historic locations. We were mainly interested in the War Memorials, and this tour did not disappoint. WWII, Korean Vets, & Iwo Jima Memorials were incredible under the night lighting!! Well worth the small difference in cost, compared to other tours. Dustin was a great guide, mixing jokes among the stories & history to teach us. I can’t recommend this tour enough!!
Had an amazing time even with the unpredictable weather. Rained on and off, but our tour guide, Rich, was wonderful! He was patient, very nice, knowledgeable, and showed us a good time.
This was my third evening tour of the monuments, each in a different year and with different tour companies. This was the most thorough and Rich was a knowledgeable and personable guide. I liked the group size of 12, and he provided rain ponchos and adjusted the order of our stops to accommodate the inclement weather. Highly recommend!!!
Our tour guide i believe his name was Rich, he was outstanding and his knowledge of DC was unbelievable. Definitely 5 stars
We had a great time great way to see the city at night and hit most of the monuments and get a little history along the way
Awesome way to see all the major sites in DC. Although our guide spoke extremely fast (a little too fast), he was excellent. This is very much a get-it-done type tour going from one site to the next. Highly recommend if you’re wanting to see and learn as much as you can in DC on a short time schedule. Everyone loved it.
Great tour guild , informative about building we pasted along the way , ample amount of time at all stops we were able to get out , photography the beautiful monuments. The perspective of viewing the monuments at night are completely different than day ! They supplied water , air conditioning van. Small group about 10 people, the tour guide spoke clear & we could all facts.
Dustin was very knowledgeable & friendly. Nice touch with trivia questions. Thank you for a memorable experience
The tour was fantastic! We learned lots of facts about DC from Dustin. The monuments/memorials/sites were spectacular at night. There is a good bit of walking and stairs, if this matters to your group.
This tour was honestly the BEST!!! We booked a private evening tour with Heart of DC Tours and we could not have asked for a better experience! This was my families first time to DC and Ken was absolutely amazing! He was extremely knowledgeable and taught us so much about not only the monuments, but about the entire city, surroundings, and the history of it all!! We had such a great time and highly recommend this company! You will not be disappointed!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our DC by night tour. We were driven to the different sites and monuments and then able to get out and view them up close and take pictures. Our guide, Rich, was very knowledgeable about DC monuments, buildings, and history, the van was comfortable. The tour lasted three hours and we didn’t feel rushed at any point.
Dustin was great tour guide. He is a Veteran and we thank him for his service to our country. He was very knowledgeable engaging.
Five of us had a wonderful experience on our D.C. Monuments tour. Our guide was top notch, so knowledgeable and personable. He gave such clear instructions about where we needed to go and always had his eyes on us. We felt well cared for. We truly enjoyed it!
As advertised, we efficiently got in and out of the stops. Guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. It did last a little over 3 hours so make sure to utilize the facilities when available.
Comfortable van and small group so everyone on time. Enough time at stops for look and pictures. Good information and stories. I am not a tour person but very happy I decided to do this tour. Saw so much more than doing on my own. Definitely worth it. Also provider did an excellent job with communications and care. Highly recommend.
The Monuments and Memorials Night Tour in DC is a must! Our guide, Dustin was a character and really brought it to life!
A very worthwhile experience seeing the monuments at night. Limited time at each, so if you want to hit a lot of sites fairly quickly it’s perfect. If you want a leisurely experience, probably look elsewhere. Our guide, Ken, was great! Highly recommend.
Dustin was a great guide and the tour was very informative!
This tour was one of our best experiences while in D.C.! Dustin, our guide, was very welcoming and knowledgeable. He narrated all throughout the drive between monuments, pointing out all of the different buildings. Would highly recommend!
Its alot of stops and worth it+ Ken was a great tour guide! Each stop is timed so you hop on and hop off.
Dustin was an excellent tour guide, very knowledgeable about the city and the monuments. The tour van was comfortable, clean, and odor free. I definitely recommend this tour to anyone interested in our nations history and this city which is so vital to that history.
