Our tour guide was very informative and made our experience very enjoyable. The food was outstanding
A great tour with plenty of food so well worth the money! We brought our stop three sandwiches home and ate them in the evening. They were still delicious! Jenn was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable of the history of Georgetown. There was a total of eight of us on the tour, including one kiddo. Jen was accommodating to a few special food requests! Unexpected rain led to Jen loaning us her umbrella which was so very much appreciated!
While we were sitting at the meeting point for the tour, we received a message that the tour was canceled. REALLY?! I appreciate that the refund process was relatively simple, but we really wanted to do this Georgetown food tour. :(
Richard was a very good tour guide. The food was very good, and the information was very interesting. The tour costs a little bit more than the other food tours in D.C. but we sat down at two restaurants during the tour and there was a lot of food. Very much worth the price.
The Georgetown food tour was great. We were offered a variety of foods from locally owned restaurants. There was something for everyone. The interesting history tidbits that were shared throughout the tour were fun and informative. My family learned a lot. We are already planning a trip back to one of the restaurants on the tour.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get to go on the experience, as the guide never showed up. We went to the designated spot to meet, met the other couple that had paid for the tour as well, and the guide never showed up. We contacted Viator, and we contacted the tour provider, both of whom were surprised that the guide had not shown up. We were at that location for almost an hour before we realized that the guide was never going to show up. The high star rating is because they handled the situation so very well. They had no clue as to where their guide was and this worried them. They were as frustrated as we were. Our fees were promptly returned to us, and they even covered our Uber ride over to the location. The tour company has also promised us vouchers that we can use on a future tour. Now those haven’t been delivered yet, but I’m sure they will be as their credibility is real high with me based on the warmth and caring they showed for their employee and for their guests. Even though we never took the tour, I have confidence that it would’ve been a really good tour and I am sad that we didn’t get to do it. We were out of time on this visit to our nations capital and we had to go.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and hospitable all along the walking tour. It had just the right amount of walking and sightseeing and also cute/local places to eat. Plenty of food and exposure to delicious food that I would not normally order. The only feedback is that some of the food options were geared around food restrictions of an accompanying ‘guide in training’ , as we had no food restrictions. That was a minor thing and didn’t really detract from the overall experience . I still highly recommend this tour.
Very knowledgeable and personable guide. Food was great!!
Joe was an excellent tour guide. He really knows his history about the beginnings of Georgetown and was so pleasant. The food tastings were full portions and very delicious. Well worth taking this tour. Have an empty tummy before you go!
Jenn was so pleasant and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the different foods along the tour. Surprisingly the potatoe tacos were amazing as well as the pizza and creme brûlée. We had to take the 3rd stop food home with me which I ate later that night. That too, was very delicious! I definitely recommend!
Really fun day with our Tour guide Joe. We had the best time and sampled wonderful food. Joe was the best!
Really enjoyed the trip. My wife and I have been living in the DC area for years, but never really explored it. Was great to hear the history of Georgetown, and the restaurants we fantastic.
This experience and tour was amazing! Neka was very knowledgeable and personable. We enjoyed all four stops along our walk. I highly recommend this tour and appreciate this companies commitment to local restaurants.
Overall a good experience but not worth the cost. Most food/walking tours are half the cost of this one. Maybe my expectations were wrong, but I was expecting more Georgetown history, higher end dining options, and a smaller group. Lori was wonderful and made the tour worth doing. Thank you!
Richard had a great vibe and knowledge of the area. The food was all great—good variety and all very tasty.
We thoroughly enjoyed the food, the history and experience! Richard was fantastic! We loved all the stops, and the crème brûlée is amazing!!
We took this tour on August 23, 2025. Our tour operator Joe sent us a text telling exactly where to meet him in the area. Joe was friendly, engaging and very knowledgeable. He took through the Georgetown neighborhood giving us a history of the area and plenty of juicy stories about former residents. We stopped at a number of local eateries, sampling their foods. Joe gave us a background on each eatery, and it place in the local scene. This was an excellent tour, and we give it our highest recommendation.
What a fantastic tour! Our tour guide Joe was fun, engaging, and very energetic! The food choices on our tour were fantastic!! Worth every penny and bite!
5/5,, great time with Lauren who was very knowledgeable, great personality, funny and a joy! She knew the history very well of Georgetown!
Great food tour. We got to learn a bunch of history of DC and Georgetown. There is a decent amount of walking so just keep that in mind when booking. We had 4 tastings and they were full sized meals. My husband and I were definitely full at the end.
This tour combines food and history and makes learning about the area a whole lot of fun. My husband and I took the Georgetown food walking tour and had a wonderful time. The food stops were all locally owned restaurants and the food was delicious. Our guides kept us entertained as they educated us about the history of the area while mixing in enough food stops to keep everyone happy. They answered lots of questions and we walked enough to work off some of the calories we consumed.
She was friendly, funny, helpful and knowledgeable about food. The food was very good. She was energetic.
Great energy, great food accompanied by neighborhood history . Our guide Me a was excellent . Highly recommend.
Great tour of Georgetown, plenty of delicious food and love that part of the ticket money helps to feed the hungry.
Our walking food tour was fabulous! Rich and Joe were knowledgeable, fun and inclusive! The food was phenomenal! I highly recommend if you want to see Georgetown, learn a little history and walk away pleasantly full!
Large portions of food at 3 stops followed by dessert stop. The food at each stop was great but by the 3rd stop I was full. Any leftovers were taken by the guide or you could take a doggy bag. ( a little awkward as who was going to grab the leftover pizza?) For 4 restaurant stops the tour was too long. The guide talked fast and too much. I didn’t want to be her best friend. Apparently a portion of this tour price supported a community food bank which was one of the best parts.
Joe's passion for food, history, DC, and people on the tour made for one of the best tours I've ever been on. We learned about Georgetown history, Georgetown University, Georgetown scandals and mysteries, and what makes a great pizza. Highly recommend this tour.
Great historical perspective on Georgetown and its interesting people. Fantastic food stops. Great future food recommendations.
Variety of foods giving an idea of the versatile nature of Georgetown. Wish there would have been more history given.
It’s a scam Do not book with this firm Paid for tour & tour guide did not turn up It’s also impossible to speak to anybody at the office. I’m sure there are many more reputable firms to deal with in Washington DC
The food was excellent! It had a great variety of local small businesses. Our tour guide, Joe, was very engaging and made the historical aspects of the tour interesting.
Food was great, Joe was an excellent guide and provided a great balance of history and entertainment. Highly recommend!
Neka was a fun storyteller with an authentic and lovable spirit. A Howard grad with a passion for history, food, and local heros.
We had a terrific time. Learned some history and tasted some great food. Highly recommend especially at the beginning of your visit.
Great food and great guide We received information about the area of Georgetown and also attended four great restaurants in Georgetown
What an amazing day with Joe, our tour guide. We experienced so many amazing foods and learned so much about Georgetown too. Joe also made recommendations of where to go and what to do after the tour. Highly recommend this activity while in DC!
Jenn is very knowledgeable. We enjoyed the tour. The tomato tart was wonderful. The Kennedy tidbits were a plus.
We had a great time, the tour guide Jenn was very knowledgeable! Food was delicious, just be aware beverages are not covered.
My 14 yr old son and I did this tour and we both really enjoyed it. Teka was an excellent guide - informative, vibrant and humorous. We learned a lot, we ate even more (holy cow, come hungry). Enjoyed the stories about each restaurant/owners, the history around the area and seeing sights off the beaten path. Thanks for a fun afternoon!
The tour was very nice and provided a lot of history about Georgetown. The food was very good and it was nice to see some places that you likely would not be able to find. Viator listed the tour at 11:30 AM but the tour is actually at 1:00 PM.
Great selection of stops and our guide, Joe, was terrific. He gave us some very interesting history about Georgetown and many people that have lived there. And we had the added bonus of a local stopping to listen in and adding a few stories of his own. We highly recommend this tour.
Great combination of food and history. Sonya was so nice and very knowledgeable, and she was an excellent communicator.
The tour was great and Joe did a great job relaying the Georgetown history while also showing off the food scene that Georgetown offers. Highly reccomend.
Joe is very informative and easy to converse with. He told us about the Kennedy Center having a lounge on the upper floor. Admission is free and the views quite nice. Our group was very fun. I recommend the tour.
Had a great tour with Vanesa- she was wonderful- the food was great- as was portion size. She had great information on the area and also on the Restaurant’s history. Definitely recommend this tour.
Bring your walking shoes! We walked all over Georgetown and Neka was great showing us all the areas, from old town industrial to low ends and high ends of residential neighborhoods. Sprinkle that with some history! It was really good! Now on to the highlight - THE FOOD. The portions are full size and you get quite a sampling - so it’s a good thing you do a lot of walking. We tried a little restaurant in a shared space market (some vegan entries, some plant based), Amazing Italian pizza, Falafel, and crème brûlée for dessert. We enjoyed it all, but truth be told…if we had eaten everything, we would have been way too uncomfortable. We’re not big on falafel, so being a sandwich, I was able to take it to go. Overall, a great tour. Our guide, Neka, was very charming and amusing and we enjoyed our afternoon.
Joe was a fantastic tour guide with great history to share. He was engaging and fun. The food was excellent and well timed. Highly recommend.
Thanks to Neka the best tour guide I ever had so far successfully done the best guided tour I ever had in Georgetown at Washington DC. Since the beginning of the tour, she flawlessly engaged Us introducing herself by sending a text message to keep us engaged with her, introduced herself in a particular way where she introduced about her likes and hobbies while successfully integrated the group by asking about the other couples' hobbies. Through the entire tour Neka from Blue Fern Travel kept us interested everything related to Georgetown history to include The Market, the town's people contribution to the history of Washington DC and Georgetown 180 miles canal information. Along with the food experience, which was awesome, I would like to let know the Blue Fern Travel team I am willing to do it again with the same tour guide, Neka. Thank you for an astonishing experience.
The food tour was excellent! We got to experience some amazing food from local businesses and learned local history from our fun and knowledgeable tour guide Joe!
