Kate, our tour guide was exceptional. She lots of little known facts of history. She was also kind to let me walk at my very slow pace.

An interesting museum. Quite a lot of “propaganda” in the elements around the war of 1812. As someone who has a history degree, I found the reasons given explaining the 1812 war to be ridiculous, but doing an AI search I read these half truths are actually taught in American schools! The stuff about 20th century culture, automotive development, trains and films and med it a were particularly interesting and fun.

Maureen has a wealth of knowledge and a passion for history. Very enjoyable. I highly recommend her for any of the Smithsonian tours. There is so much to see but Maureen was able to point out all the highlights in 2.5 hrs.

Annemarie was very knowledgeable and made our experience fun. We had one family member that needed walking assistance that we didn’t plan for and Annemarie went above and beyond to accommodate him so he would have a good tour.

Not as good as it use to be. To much about people and immigration. And not enough about American innovation and technological displays.

We choose guided tours to see as many interesting items as possible in a shorter time. The museum did have some interesting exhibits. However, our guide would spend excessive time at a handful of exhibits (e.g. 20 minutes at the George Washington statue explaining no one likes it, 15 min talking in empty hallway about the Star Spangled banner flag we hadn’t yet seen that was in another room, etc). She was completely oblivious to the fact the majority of the group was bored (looking/wandering away) and ready to move on to other exhibits.

Brenda was our tour guide! Ask for her! She engaged our 14 year old Boys for hours from start to finish. She was able to “read the room” and move on as the boys were loosing interest . There is no way to see it all but she gave us the best for our group. 10/10.

My sister and I had an exceptional tour of the Smithsonian National Museum of American History with Maribeth. She was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and interactive, and did a wonderful job tailoring the tour to our interests. The experience offered a fascinating glimpse into American history and was both informative and fun, especially with all the Americana items that reminded us of our youth. Overall, it was a great tour and one we would highly recommend.

Leigh was a very knowledgeable and engaging guide who led us through this journey through American history. We learned more than could be provided by the posted descriptions at each exhibit. She welcomed our questions and our request to view specific exhibits and ended our tour with a surprise discovery that we would not have found on our own – a Sterling silver Tiffany bicycle! The museum is extensive and can be chaotic so I highly recommend this tour if you have a limited amount of time and want to have the best experience.

Maribeth Oates was knowledgable and picked wonderful topics for the group. We enjoyed her breath and depth of knowledge in all displays at the museum. I had no difficulty hearing her comments even thought the museum was crowded and noisy. Highly recommend the tour. Thank you.

Our tour guide Brenda was super! She knew how to navigate the museum and about everything in it. She tailored the tour to our four young children while educating the four adults with her vast knowledge of the displays. Everyone had a wonderful morning.

Ryan was great! Very informative. He had a great gen z history of how cherry blossom trees got to usa. Also did great in getting the kids excited at the different exhibits.

My family of 5 THOROUGHLY enjoyed our tour of the American History Musuem! Maureen was our guide, and not only was she knowledgeable and fun, she also catered the experience to my tired troop of young adults. This was our 4th tour in 2 days, and it was by far the best. We couldn't be more pleased!

The guide is knowledgeable and considerate. The group size is small, three in my case, allowing for an intimate feeling and informative visit.

My daughter and I had planned to visit the Smithsonian Museum of natural history, and I wanted my daughter to experience all the important highlights. I scheduled a semi private tour and we couldn’t have been more thrilled with our tour guide, Annemarie! She was so knowledgeable on any exhibit that we went to see. She gave us so much useful information. I really knew her history. She gave my daughter and I an amazing experience at the museum. I would highly recommend the store. We did the semi private tour and it was amazing.!

Show up early and enjoy the information. Maribeth is an excellent guide. Also she has a great sense of humor.

Anne-Marie was a great guide. She asked about our preferences and interests and customized the tour with exhibits that would be of most interest to our children. We also hit the highlights with some memorable stories that helped the exhibits come to life.

Our tour guide, Leigh, was good, but when we went into the museum, it seemed like she was only hitting certain things and skipped a lot of stuff. Wasn't too impressed with her pushing her opinion and agenda on us when it came to things that we might have known or heard about the Star Spangled Banner or Women's Rights. We ended up having to go back the next day to walk the museum again to look at all the Pop Culture exhibits and some of the other exhibits that were skipped.

You will come away with a renewed respect and gratitude towards our founding fathers. Our guide Duane was beyond knowledgeable.

It’s a very late review. But it was a great experience. Our guide also as my history teacher, she is very knowledgeable. Definitely recommend this tour to history lovers.
