It was great! Saw a lot and learned a lot in a quick time frame! Would recommend everyone does this tour at least once while they’re in DC!
Annemarie gave a great tour of the Library of Congress, Supreme Court, and the Capitol entrance. Great history and details we would have missed!!The passes that allowed for a gallery visit to the House of Representatives were a great end to the tour!
We had a group small group tour with Jim. He was very informative, made it interesting and was easy to hear. Would definitely take he tour again.
The tour of the Capitol, Library of Congress and the Supreme Court was excellent, as was our tour guide Annemarie.
Rebecca was amazing! She was knowledgeable and kept even our 8 year old entertained. Our family of 5 all agreed that our tour with Rebecca was the best part of our trip to DC. If you’re looking for a tour…this is the one. I can highly recommend and would book this tour again if we return to DC. Thank you!
Allen was our tour guide and absolutely amazing!! I have visited DC multiple times and this was the best walking tour I have had!
Annemarie, the tour guide very knowledgeable, great personality, patient and very detailed. An all around excellent tour experience.
First day in DC and this tour was the perfect start to our holiday - small group, plenty of time and explanation of the key sites on the National Mall, including supplementary images on a tablet to help understand or recognize specific details. Our guide was Annemarie from Babylon Tours - very welcoming, knowledgeable and great company for the tour. Thank You!
Rebecca was our tour guide and did an amazing job! Very knowledgeable and prompt! Excellent tour and customer service.
Rebecca was a fantastic guide. Very knowledgeable and gave a great tour. Gave great information on all the memorials and Washington Monument. Will use again next time in DC.
Our walking tour of the monuments in the National Mall was a great experience. Allen was an awesome tour guide. It was a memorable morning for our family. We are so glad we booked this tour and had Allen as our guide.
Annemarie was great! She provided a great historical overview and answered all of the questions our kids had. Timed perfectly for the Washington Memorial timed visit
Annemarie is incredibly attentive and knowledgable guide. She gets to know you, and where you’re from and always pointing out relevant details to your life that she learns over the course of the tour. She was very patient - we were with two young boys that were very inquisitive and she did a great job fielding their questions while keeping the tour on track. Also, if you hate the microphone and headphones tours, this one is for you!! Small intimate group makes for a great, lowkey tour. Perfect way to spend a morning of your trip.
Annemarie was amazing! She went at our pace and even made an extra stop for us! She was super knowledge and shared pictures at each stop. I loved the intimate experience (just one other family besides us) Highly recommend!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Brenda did a great job explaining the detail and history behind the monuments. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. It’s always great to have perspective when sightseeing, and Brenda provided that.
Tour guide was very friendly, personable, and accommodating. She had extra pictures of the monuments which added to our experience.
Brenda is a fantastic guide! Very knowledgeable and super friendly. We had a great time!!!! Learned a lot about American history that we never knew.
Allen McCabe through Babylon tours was exceptional! A 25-year volunteer, he was an excellent story-teller and a fount of knowledge. Very personable. He was the highlight of our DC trip!
We had a wonderful private tour with Maureen today! Our family of 9, including 5 children ages 7 months to 14 years, walked the Monument tour, which included the ride to the top of the Washington Monument. Maureen was a joy! Maureen added tremendous value to our experience with background information at every turn. She was very patient and engaging with the range of ages. Highly recommend!
Rebecca was extremely knowledgeable and just a really nice person to wander around DC with. Took us to the places we wanted to go and gave us a great insight into the history behind the monument and memorials.
Rebecca was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed every minute of our tour and would highly recommend this experience.
We had an absolutely phenomenal tour of the National Mall and surrounding monuments with Annemarie. She was incredibly knowledgeable and made learning about the history of our nations capital a truly fun and memorable experience. She even brought along an iPad with historical images of the sites we were visiting, which added so much to our experience. She was fantastic with our younger tour members and made sure to keep everyone engaged. It was the best tour and we are excited to come back again soon. Thanks!!
Wow, what a walking tour. Brenda our tour guide was so knowledgable & a lovely friendly lady too. The information at each monument brought to life the stories behind them. The pace of the walk was just right, we had enough time to enjoy the monument, take photos & also reflect on the reasons behind the monument. A small group, only 7 in our group made it very personal. We had bought the tour to gain access to the monument but to be honest, the tour was the real highlight. We learnt so much more than we would have doing this alone. Thank you Brenda
Lisa was good at answering questions that weren’t part of her talk. She’s knowledgeable and pleasant, patient and upbeat.
Our tour guide was amazing, tons of great history. Lisa was informative anf funny, very engaging with everyone in the group.
We booked a semi-private tour of the National mall. The agency did a good job pairing us with another family with similarly-aged kids. Our guide, Annemarie, was extremely knowledgeable, came prepared with lots of information, photos and historical details. She was also very patient answering all our questions and navigating a tour with very active kids. The timing was well planned and seamless. It was a great experience for us!
Amanda was amazing! Thorough and flexible in all ways! Highly recommend her for all tours! Whether a group or a private tour, she was very knowledgeable and fun!
Kate, our super knowledgeable tour guide, was absolutely amazing! I did a girls’ trip with my daughter, elementary school aged, and Kate was perfect with her, explaining all the monuments in interesting ways, having her do neat activities and kept her (and me) very engaged! I love DC, and this tour was a great way to show its greatness to my kid!
Brenda was awesome, highly knowledgeable and fun. National Mall is a good opportunity for guided tour. Weather was perfect and trip to top of Washington monument well worth it.
We had a great tour with the guide Leigh. She gave us a lot of information and details about the monuments. She is a great storyteller that made us understand all the history and importance of the monuments. Such a good introduction to DC.
Annemarie was our tour guide. She was personable and friendly and accommodating to all members in our group. She gave us many stories and additional information about each of the memorials and monuments that we would not have been able to acquire if we had taken a tour by ourselves. A couple of examples: she showed us a picture of the Korean war memorial soldiers in the Washington DC snow which gave us a striking example of what it must’ve been like for the soldiers in combat in mountainous Korea. She showed us a sketch of the original drawing done by the college student who won the Vietnam Memorial contest. She encouraged us to go see the original sketch at the Library of Congress, which we did on this trip That recommendation to go to the Library of Congress was a wonderful recommendation as we spent hours there exploring the treasures it contains. Annemarie also gave us time for questions and any input we had. She also gave us some wonderful recommendations for restaurants of which we have enjoyed – all delicious. Thank you for a wonderful tour Annemarie and a wonderful introduction to Washington DC.
Annemarie gave a detailed and entertaining tour. I had been looking forward to this experience for some time and was pleasantly surprised at how much was involved. Annemarie took us through so many different historical sites including the Lincoln Memorial, the Vietnam Wall, the Martin Luther King memorial, The Korean War and WW2 memorials and so many others. As a history buff I thoroughly enjoyed this experience and learned so much.
Annmarie is highly knowledgeable and provided many interesting historical facts along the way. We travel with our two son, 6 and 10, and she was able to keep them engaged and allow them to ask questions. Annmarie is very friendly, accommodating, kind and really knows her stuff! We had an incredible experienced we all left with so much more knowledge and love being able to go up the Washington monument. I highly recommend Babylon tours, and Annmarie as a tour guide.
Good tour to hit the highlights of the museum. They are pre-set, so if there are galleries that are important to you which aren't covered, plan to stay following the tour to explore on your own. The museum itself is phenomenal, and it helped to have a guide to provide context to what we were seeing.
Wonderful tour. Chris was knowledgeable and friendly, made sure the pacing was appropriate for us. The tour hit so many highlights without being at all rushed. Would definitely recommend it.
Maribeth was great. We have been to DC a number of times and this was far and away one of our most memorable experiences. She was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. Highly recommend.
Bess was our tour guide. She was extremely knowledgeable about all the monuments. I highly recommend this tour to get the background of the monuments.
Loved having a small group, great sites, entry into the Washington Monument and inside info/education we wouldn’t have gotten on our own. Great experience!
My son and I did the Monuments tour yesterday with Annemarie as our guide, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience! I believe we visited 7 monuments/memorials in all and my son (age 9) and I learned something new at each one! Annemarie was a wonderful guide and in addition to sharing little known facts and vignettes about each monument/memorial, she also engaged my son and the other kids on the tour well, took pictures and got us to our endpoint (the Washington Memorial) right on time! I would highly recommend this tour if you’d like to learn lots of fun tidbits about not just the memorials but also about DC.
We got last minute tickets for a half day tour of Washington DC the day before the tour. Needless to say, I didn’t have high hopes about what we might be getting. Annemarie was an awesome tour guide! She was friendly, very knowledgeable and great at keeping a good pace for our group. I was pleasantly surprised that we had such a great tour guide. She was very good at interacting with each one of our small group, especially the kids. She knew many facts and dates and answered all the questions we threw at her during our tour. It didn’t feel like we were rushing from memorial to memorial, she kept us at a good pace and let us linger when we wanted to. She always offered to take pictures of our family with all of us in it, so no one would be left out taking the picture. By the way, we got some amazing pictures of the cherry blossoms, the Lincoln Memorial, the reflecting pool, MLK memorial and World War II memorial. Great experience, highly recommend!
Rebecca was wonderful! She was so full of information, so many neat facts and details that awed us. Her knowledge and expertise elevated our experience more than we can describe! She was also very easy to connect with, will use her again!
This was an amazing tour! Leigh was so dedicated and patient. We loved seeing Washington alongside her.
Annemarie was an excellent guide! Very informative and engaging. She tried to find us as much shade as possible on a day of record heat. Annemarie shared many details and facts about all the places on our tour that we never would have known on our own. She made the tour very worthwhile. Highly recommend!!
Tony was a wealth of information. Very friendly and accommodating. Will return again to DC and ask for Tony to be our guide. Worth every penny.
Great day trip! Annemarie was an excellent and very knowledgeable. She helped us make the most of our time in the District. We were able to see any sites in just a few hours. Perfect day trip from Shenandoah NP.
Great guide. Very informative. Learned so much. Highly recommend. Tony provided us with information we would never had learned if we did a self guided tour.
Richard is absolutely amazing and very knowledgeable. We enjoyed every second of the tour with him and highly recommend it to anyone wanting a small group tour with a wonderful guide who will end up feeling more like a friend.
Bess showed us around the monuments and walked a great pace, not too fast or too slow. We were able to ask and tell information and great bits of history since Bess has lived there for over 15 years. It was fun to hear about the changes and additions in monuments over the years. It was helpful that our group was 5 people. Get your walking shoes on and make a reservation with Bess.
Excellent and informative tour. Brenda was fantastic. She was knowledgeable, interesting and paced the walk perfectly. We have done several walking tours around the world and the was one of the best!!
