I was so glad that we booked tickets and was able to get on the elevator and to the top quickly. The view was fantastic. I highly recommend buying tickets. We were there at 10:30 and all the free tickets had been given out for the day.

It's expensive when you consider that the tickets are free when you get them through the government website. However, if you did not get your tickets in time or do not have the time or ability to log on as soon as they tickets are vailable, this is a GREAT service and worth every penny. I loved the convenience.
The best way to go to the top. A tad pricey but trying to log in and get a ticket doesn’t work.
Communicated multiple time to assure success; was unaware how difficult ovtaing tickets would be. This group does all the work
Do not use this service for tickets to the Washington Monument. Q R code was not sent and did not get to see the Monument. Several other people who used this service were also denied admittance due to no code being sent. $50 lost
Very easy and convenient very informative lots of history and a lot of photo opportunities loved the history
No information just an elevator ride. We could have saved 50 and just gone up. It all depends on the time of the year
Get pictures or copies of your tickets long before you travel. I only had the link, and I struggled producing tickets until I got back to our hotel room. I never was able to pull them up or QR code as we were standing in line. The park ranger actually just let us get in with the weblink that I had.
The park service people are so nice! This was a bucket list trip, I loved every minute.
Super easy to do with lots of options.. Great communication. Timely emails and texts with follow-ups
Received tickets on time and as described.
I did not expect to write this review but our experience with this company was so good, I felt compelled to let others know. Having waited too late to purchase Washington Monument tickets through the parks department, I found this option online. I figured it was probably legit and the reviews were good, so I bought tickets for our family of seven. What I did not expect was how absolutely exceptional the customer service would be. I called to confirm the tickets would be sent the day before. They answered the phone and confirmed for me! Then sent me a follow up text to make sure I received the tickets. When I had a question about the tour, I called back and they were extremely helpful. I honestly wasn't expecting such a great experience from an online tour operator. These guys are legit. If you are lucky enough to snag tickets directly from the government website, go for it. But if they're sold out and you still want to see the monument, don't hesitate to buy them from these guys.
This is a convenient way to get tickets last minute. The .gov site has so much traffic it hangs up and locks you out.
We tried to get free tickets thru recreation.gov but were unsuccessful. That’s when I reached out to viator.com and they were able to get us tickets. I had to pay for the tickets but it was worth it to be able to get into the monument and experience the views st the top.
Very pleased quick and smooth process
Exceptional communication from Viator partner and super smooth transaction. Also, HIGHLY recommend the No Wait experience at the Washington Monument. Extraordinary views of DC!
The views from above were amazing, such a beautiful city! The exhibit was great! Loved all the history of the building and would recommend it to everyone. I was disappointed that the guy at the main door ran out of brochures for the monument and said he didn't have any more at 10:30am? Huh?
It’s a must have experience. The whole DC visit is something that everyone should do at least once in their life.
Great staff, fast service, and best part is we learned so much!
It’s nice that Viator guarantees a ticket because when the Park service releases them, they go so fast. I think it would be even nicer if the Vator rep would give a few facts/history before entry.
The process at the Monument was excellent. We showed the guards the tickets 15 minutes before the appointed time and they directed us to take a seat at a spot near the entrance. At our appointed time, we were escorted to the elevator on time and took the 70 second ride to the top. The process was exactly what I had hoped it would be.
Booking was easy and we were able to get last minute tickets. Communication about entry and tickets was clear and easy. Thanks for making it so we didn't have to wait in line!
Access was easy, just show them the passes. Entering more characters because Viator is asking me to.
Easy to use, Lots of communications. They are very responsive to questions. Lots of information available.
Worth the visit for every American. From the top windows you can see all of the mall in every direction.
We got to the Washington monument and showed them our tickets and the ranger said they were not valid.
Amazing experience! Highly recommend. View is incredible. Great guides. Would do this again in a heartbeat!
See lots of sights from a different perspective but be prepared to walk a lot in the dark. Guide uses megaphone but still a bit hard to understand. Timing of tour is just enough. Needs to be a clear night to see the sights. A lot of time on-offa bus with steep steps. For those with mobility or vision issues would not recommend. Otherwise it is good tour.
We were in the 10 a.m. group and went in on time. The view at the top was fantastic. The elevator runs fast.
Absolutely the best way to gain a bird’s eye view of Washington. Simple booking system and straightforward entry. Also, appreciated not being ‘hurried’ when at the top. A ‘must’ for anyone visiting Washington DC.
This is definitely a tour everyone visiting Washington DC should do. Everything was great from the staff to the sights! This was such a great experience. I highly recommend it.
Very pleasant park rangers! Worth the price for me Stayed as long as I wanted
No worth the money to skip the line. Great views but a very short visit and for the price very expensivez I would avoid
Important to know that I did not receive the “Official accepted passes” via text the until the evening before our visit. I kept looking in my email but those notifications are not accepted. Otherwise, entrance was prompt and on time at our designated appointment.
There are plenty spots or openings at the Washington Monument when we got there we ended up actually going on an earlier tour because there was plenty of spots is difficult to book online directly with the government so we opted for the more expensive option and it was a total waste of money to spend an extra $40 when we didn’t have to
There was confusion on the ticket and what they needed to be able to enter. I had 6 emails and the one emai I did not click on the very bottom was the actual QR code they needed to scan. The tall gentleman (9/21/26) working the door was very helpful. The shorter man didn't seem to care if we got in or not. It was raining and no one was allowed to shelter out of the weather - it was confusing. To many emails came from the app. One email with the Actual code is all that is needed instead of more instructions to hop through to find the code.
This was my 6th visit to DC. I had been trying to get into the monument forever. Beautiful people working inside. Very accommodating. Not all my questions were answered but they were very polite. Based on the information provided via the exhibits the monument is a building. I had no idea. The monument is 555 feet high and it looks like the number 1. Very interesting.
It is an incredible view of the city and very interesting how it was built and how countries, states, organizations, and individuals donated over the years to fund it and give Washington acknowledgment. Unfortunately to get a free timed ticket is almost impossible. They disappear in seconds. I was told 3rd party companies buy them up so you might as well buy a ticket. If not a busy time of year you probably can get in early. Smoothest elevator I’ve ever ridden on.
The views are amazing from the top. This would be a great first day in DC tour. You can get a great layout of the mall area and have a better idea where things are located. Buying tickets through Viator is the way to go. We didn’t want to go early and wait in line for the free ones and then be disappointed if you weren’t able to go see it. Your time is valuable. Lots to see.
The Washington Monument was very interesting. The elevator was broken down but within 15 minutes they had it fixed. Well worth going inside and up to the top. The views are amazing!
If you are like me, you hate Viator and everyone like them for charging you $25 for something you should be entitled to (as a tax-paying American Citizen) for $1. The reality is that we need to take it up with the National Park Service. The system is broken and it needs to be fixed. In the meantime, unfortunately we are stuck in this environment, and the tickets are nearly impossible to get. My wife and I tried several times to get tickets through the Recreation.gov site and they were sold out in mere seconds. I was extremely skeptical about giving my money to Viator under the "no refunds, no cancellations" policy. But when all was said and done, it worked. I even had to change my scheduled time due to a conflict about a week before our trip, and they accommodated it. I paid for 5 tickets, and they showed up attached to an email exactly when they were supposed to (the night before the tour). Even then, I was worried that the tickets wouldn't work, but when they were scanned at the entrance, it worked. My advice if you elect to use Viator is to follow their directions EXACTLY. The vouchers and receipts will not work. The real tickets attached to the email you receive the night before your tour are the only things that count. Follow directions and hopefully you'll be successful like we were. The tour itself was well worth it. The views are awesome from the top and it was a great experience for the whole family. Love them or hate them, Viator will do exactly what they advertise. Hopefully some day it's not that hard to get tickets. But for now, if this is your only solution, go for it. I can attest to the fact that it does work.
All great. Got there about an hour early and they let us right in. Great views. Very friendly park rangers.
Exceptional experience. Worth every penny.
It was very convenient and quick to get in. No stress or worries about missing out on tickets :) We have fun
It was like hitting the easy button . They got our ticket for us and we had no trouble going up to the top of the monument . The views are incredible .
It is impossible to get tickets on .gov so this is a great alternative. This is legitimate but be careful because there are a lot of fraudulent offers out there! Great views of entire area.
Great experience...even though you can get tickets free, it was worth paying for knowing that you were guaranteed the experience!
There is no guide book but the experience was amazing! I highly recommend you do this at least once!
We had a really cool experience looking down at the White House. We watched Trump’s motorcade take him to the helicopter the watched as they took off.
there really was no need to purchase the no-wait tickets because the monument was not crowded - but it did give us a piece of mind
